Trying to empty my inbox has taken me days not because of the amount of email but because of yahoo system getting in the way. I try to filter all messages by sender, when you select all it only selects all thats on that page not all of them... why your the only platform that does this. I try and clock on the icon for sender it will direct me to their site nooo I want to see all email by this sender. If you try and search for an email by sender info it will google search kind of deal all letter you entered in and show you results that are not from this sender. Their platfrom has add built in that get in your way and require you to pay to remove adds I will never open a new yahoo email. I wish I could better forward all my email from yahoo to google so when I delete it it will delete on my yahoo.
Just tried to log into my email using my SAVED password, yahoo decided to not recognize it and refuse to let me sign in, tried resetting password, didnt regocnize the new password, tried again, didnt recognize new password
Now refuses to do anything, probably given a timeout from trying again purely because of yahoo incompetence hiring the lowest bidders to do coding
If you never sent emails outgoing, you're $#*!ed! Because that's one of the only ways they can verify your account. The email was specifically used for incoming emails only. I forgot my password, they need an email address to an outgoing email, plus the title of an email outgoing sent. Well dumbasses, I don't have that. They don't verify by security questions, WTF
Who the $#*! charges for a customer service call?! I can't access my account and I can't get in touch with ANYONE to figure this out. DON'T EVER use yahoo mail if you plan on actually accessing your account for free.
While trying to recover my old yahoo account, i do not have access to my old phone. When i select that option it says Looks like we can't recover your account online. Please visit our help site to get back in. Well no solution is avalible then to speak to someone they make you pay a fee. This is bullcrap. My old turbo tax in linked to it an now i cant access my turbo tax becuase i cant recover my password. Such a scam. Yahoo you dissapoint the customer.
I was told by yahoo to set up a code to get into my yahoo account. When I upgraded my phone I could no longer use my code anymore. I even tried to use my password but it only would take the code. I had a 2nd email set no luck. I called yahoo for a solution nothing they couldn't help me I had to buy a package plan as soon as I payed they reset it. I told the guy it was a scam and I won't be paying for another month so he could cancel it. The guy then told me I had to cancel after 24 hrs. I called back to cancel they didn't. They charged me 5 times I gave them the name of the rep I talked to. I keep getting the same manager who keeps saying the same thing NOTHING!
RooterPLUS in Cumming, Georgia lied to me. I described my driveway and tank location and to them in detail and confirmed nothing would cost more than their advertised price: not two minutes into being here, "Steve" was laying on me that he would need an extra $50 to get his equipment down our quite unchallenging road. I've had four full construction dumpsters, backhoes, and other tank-based vehicles down and up here even BEFORE I substantially widened and reinforced that road. With no trouble. I could just see other "extra" fees coming. I have emails to confirm but can't load them below -- I told them to get off my yard.
Just seems like every time there's a new manager or CEO, they have to fly their "under new management" banner and make changes that amazingly make it worse every time.
It now has SO MANY ads that pop up EVERYWHERE and suck up an insane amount of CPU just to run them that it almost shuts down my computer.
They keep "adding" functions that just become annoyances.
I have had them for 20 years and am just about ready to make the switch once and for all.
Now I see why everybody else in on Gmail.
Yahoo! Is an extraordinary company that allows individuals to access tremendous amounts of pertinent information! I highly recommend it over any other type of email platform!
Shame on you Yahoo for deleting years of your users' emails without any warning!
Also your UX makes me think I traveled back in time to 2002.
Happily deleting the account never to return again.
Had yahoo for as long as I could remember, it's just garbage now. Stupid updates and keys its ridiculous. I can't login, it won't let me replace my recovery number so I obviously can't get a text message on a number I don't have. AND WHICH MAKES NO SENSE WHAT SO EVER, MY "RECOVERY EMAIL" is the SAME EMAIL I'm locked out of! $#*! me right?! Forget that I have important emails I'll never be able to access. Absolute garbage and you HAVE TO PAY for their help, so stupid.
I was looking for help for a simple task like whiteboarding an email addy, but the info the support bot gave didn't match what I was supposed to be seeing on my screen under the 'settings'. If I want REAL help I have to shell out $5/month!
The rating system on Sitejabber is perfect as one star means "Doesn't get any worse than this, stay away!" that's exactly how I feel about Yahoo in general. It pushes liberal ads everywhere you go including in Yahoo Mail. The system is archaic and every time I log in it puts me through the same BS: enter email address, enter password, enter email address, enter password. I have to do that cyclical nightmare about twenty times before I can access my account (to be clear, I know what my password is and that's not the issue). FU YAHOO. PLEASE JUST GO OUT OF BUSINESS ALREADY.
I have no problem with advances in technology, but not when old tried and true is discarded.
After all Yahoo mail is just that... its mail... a way of communicating with others. Today I could not log-in... there was a new feature, they asked me for my phone number or another email address with the pretense that I can "recover".
Since I had no choice I complied and I got a "log-in" number sent via my phone. It took me 3 attempts to figure out what to do, since it was not obvious to me where to enter these 5 digits of log-in number. Anyway these log-in numbers are nonsense as well, Many banks now ask me to enter the login number they have sent to my phone. This means, that my bank account is only as safe as my password for my yahoo mail?
All these road blocks with the pretense to make things safer do not work. I had to change my CC number twice last year because of fraudulent debits on my account and the CC has a chip, I never lost it and I never handed it to anybody... not even in a restaurant or bar... where I pay cash only.
To prevent identity theft, I propose we start the hangings of those who get caught... this would stop it. Our laws are too weak to prosecute anybody and CC companies just "accept" the losses and move on.
So, Yahoo Mail... just a password to log in please... nothing more. Allow me to make it weak or strong... stay logged in or not... my choice.
And when you make changes... only additions to functionality (never doing the same thing just different), which I can ignore or not.
When it lists the number of new messages in each folder, it doesn't list spam anymore. I just checked it & there are legitimate messages from days ago. Yahoo needs to fix this!
My yahoo account was hacked by hackers I call see get back on they want $300 get fixed then I email yahoo customer never got reply this show me they in with scammer it all about Money I hope no else have to thru what I had may God bless you all you
I cant log in no matter how i go about resetting password it wont let me. No one helps and its HORRIBLE! DO NOT USE YAHOO. AOL was better than Yahoo is...
Absolutely hate this yahoo and the idiots who invented it. It won't even send out a recovery code or email verification to other account.
Don't use yahoo lame useless email service.
This has to be the worst way to handle contacts. Whomever came up with this idea in your company should be fired. Total crap. The email system is not much better. If I could do an easy move I would.
Used Yahoo for 15 years. Kept everything in my email. Looked 3 days ago and all my files were GONE. I know that I could not have deleted over 1000 emails with one click. I tried to have them restored not 1, not 2, but 5 TIMES. I got 2 spam emails back. They do not respond. They do not reach out. There is no way to call them to help. They make you ask other users for help who are just as frustrated as you are! STAY AWAY FROM YAHOO OR YOU COULD LOSE EVERYTHING JUST LIKE I DID! BEWARE!
Answer: You can get the old version back by clicking on the "SWITCH TO BASIC MAIL WITH FEWER FEATURES" below the YAHOO POP-UP AD BOX. UNFORTUNATELY THIS YAHOO AD BOX CONTINUES TO POP-UP whenever I TRY TO OPEN AN EMAIL. I can find no way to delete this MOST ANNOYING YAHOO AD BOX. YAHOO HELP IS NO HELP as they IGNORE my requests.
