WORSTTTTTTTTT
May 31, 2019

Honestly, yYahoois the worst! How the hell do you charge people to gain access to their own EMAILLLLL ITS RIDICULOUS! I'm beyond pissed! I am now locked out of an important email that i cant gain access to because i refuse to have to pay for something that their customer service should help with! This is why people left and use Gmail! Google doesn't have this issue!

I wish i could give it negatve stars

Deleted my Account
July 15, 2020

I found out that Yahoo deleted the account I've been using every day for 10 years. I haven't been able to recover it and they haven't provided any reason. Shady.

Deverses 0 star, gets 1 star because this is the lowest. No notification email for password recovery, damn slow application, very unreliable. Underlying website scripting seem to be sh*t.

The new version of Yahoo Mail is an eye and productivity killer. The layout and color choices are all problematic (and mostly either too bright or too dark). The contacts area is painful and only a small section instead of a full page. Impossible to find all the functionality of the former version (cannot seem to add or delete from the list without deleting entire contact). And the net as well as Yahoo's amusingly titled Customer Feedback section is full of detailed lists of the problems. Answers from yahoo: 1. We are working on that 2. corporate propaganda that essentially says this is better and you should like it. Unable to find another free email client with any useful functionality. Even Outlook as become a victim of bored developers (I say this cause why else would they mess us a good product. Many people are still wanting Outlook Express which was killed years ago.) Suggestion to webmanagers: People hate change. If you want to force us to change at least do the groundwork of some useful user testing. Cause you obviously currently do not. Man, Yahoo sucks so much.

I forgot my password, In the past yahoo would have txt me a code which i will use to change password. However, this time around when i contacted number, they will say we are not able to help, ask all these questions to make you believe they are helping, Furthermore, after they talk to you, they hit you with a premium app which will be taken from credit card every month. My question is, we are living hard times for yahoo to do this to consumers is unacceptable. For yahoo to use this for their own convenience is unacceptable. O thou their money hungry attitude leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It creates depression and mental anguish, I currently lost all my content on my email which im not able to retrieved yahoo actions has created depression due to all my information lost. Being a 62 year old women who is income limited isn't the way i expected to be treated. How yahoo treat consumer is shameful. Yahoo

Yahoo MailSorting my email-it was so simple when they had the icons directly next to the sender. You could quickly put mail in a folder or delete it.
Now you have to go to above section drop down the folder you want and THEN HIT APPLY. Yes deleting is not as bad - it is up on the top also but AGAIN there was that little garbage can that you could just chuck ALL of the unwanted emails. THIS CHANGE IS A PAIN!

The spammers take over your email and even though there is a folder for it. Now you can only block 3 domains unless you pay them 5$ a month. Why am i going to pay you to do your job in the first place. And this is *******@att.net mail is at. They do not monitor spammers and scammers and phissing emails... so it just plain sucks. While i don't care for the layout of gmail---at least after you tell them 1x it's spam and scam you never see the bs'er email again. Unfortunately i couldn't give negative stars. If i could i would have. Yahoo and att worst email ever. I would delete the account but some people/companies just can't seem to send email to my new email and TWC blocks pics from most stores that you have an account with so you have to send all those emails to gmail too. Uuuugh!

When I log in, I am repeatedly sent to a page that says I must enter a phone number to be used for account recovery purposes. It's also labeled as "required," and won't let me continue with the login without entering a valid phone number. I've previously encountered a similar issue where Yahoo was demanding another email address.

I found a way that I can bypass it and access my email, but it's a concern that Yahoo is "requiring" other email addresses or my phone number before it will allow me access to my account. Yahoo Mail is a "free" service that gets its revenue by adding advertisements to the web page. Asking for my detailed contact information on a pretext of account security is reprehensible. Ask me for a code word I can enter to verify my identity, or a series of verification questions like reputable companies use.

There was a story in the news recently about a social media platform that was fined for asking for phone numbers for "account security" but which was actually using them for telemarketing. I don't remember what company it was. I will NOT give Yahoo my phone number.

One other thing. If my spam folder is empty and I open it, recently Yahoo has started spamming me with videos inside the folder frame. Really? I check the spam folder and they think I'm so bored that I'm going to watch whatever video they put in there? Fail.

I remember setting my account to allow me to use a password if I don't have my old phone number due to past problems. For whatever reason it will not allow me to put in my password and am unable to switch my email to my new phone. I have no access to it what so ever and Yahoo has no way around it for what ever reason. DO NOT USE THIS SITE!

ALRIGHT THEN, I AM NOW USING ANOTHER EMAIL SERVICE. IT'S KNOWN AS GMX https://www.gmx.com/ I'M USING ITS BASIC FEATURES WHICH IS WAY BETTER THAN YAHOO'S AND SO FAR I LIKE IT-- NO YAHOO KRAPP AT GMX. I'M STICKING WITH GMX AS MY MAIN EMAIL SERVICE. EVERYONE HERE IS WELCOME TO TRY GMX, IF YOU LIKE IT SPREAD THE WORD.

I know it won't make any difference, but I have to get this off my mind. Why the frog would yahoo make their classic version... the one that I could set the view to the way I like it... unavailable. Only two versions... the newest one, and the "basic" one that pops up encouragement to switch to the newest version EVERY time? What the frog was broken with the old version? Was it too difficult for their IT guys to code? If every contact I had was using my yahoo email address, I would switch to something else. Thank God there are IT guys that love bells and whistles so much they feel compelled to force everybody else to use them as well. OK, 'nuff said. I am beyond angry. Please keep in mind that it is 1 am and I am trying to access to my ACT scores which will determine LITERALLY THE REST OF MY LIFE! Yahoo mail automatically logged itself out on both my phone and my laptop and because those are the only two devices I have my yahoo mail account is on, I can not log in. I would very much like to know WHO decided that would be a good security feature so I can deck them in the face. If someone can help me with this, please please please reach out because if I don't receive help I literally will not know my ACT scores and my future will be ruined.

I've used Yahoo Mail almost since inception and it's gotten so frustrating that it is worth the PITA TO REPLACE IT that paid version can't offer what the free one doesn't so I'm not going waste my time. The paid version could only enhance that lack of effort that's been applied to the product as a whole.
Good Bye YAHOO!

I've had a Yahoo! Account for a few years now and just this morning, I noticed that MY phone number (the only number I've had) is linked to someone else's account! In trying to figure out what was happening, I used up all of the available codes sent to my phone for 24 hours, so I emailed Yahoo! Support and called them. THEY WON'T HELP ME UNLESS I PAY THEM! The scariest part about this is that the person whose account is linked to my number, I could go in and change their password without confirming that I'm the owner of that account, and suddenly my password no longer works for me on my account, so there's a good chance MY PASSWORD HAS BEEN CHANGED BY SOMEONE ELSE, and of course to terminate my account and switch it to a better email service, I need to enter my freaking password!
