I use Lyft service to and from airport, the driver show up at wrong gate location and expected me walk 300 feet to where he was parked for 10 minutes he says (which was a lie), he didn't want to circle back around to the (DFW) the correct gate location. I walked towards the vehicle and asked him why he didn't want to circle back around (with a heavy Arabic accent he said something very rude unintelligable), I'm sure what he said wasnt nice in Arabic - I told him being rude and lazy is unacceptable. I removed my luggage from the back of the suv and got another LYFT ride. This all happened on 3/9 at 10pm, today on 3/10 I get a email message from Lyft saying there removing my account for using abusive language. Here's the deal, the driver says something to me in Arabic derogatory and rude but I get my account removed. I'm sure he didn't tell his supervisor how he behaved unacceptably.
I drove a nice tesla for welfare rates perfect rating after 2k rides then some thug damages my car i called him a few choice words nothing rasict though and lyft gives me the damage fee and still deactivated my account POS company
I was overcharged two separate times in one night. The worse part is there is NO way to get a human customer service rep on the phone.
I will only use UBER from now on
I don't have an account with Lyft and have never used the app or service. I have three charges on my debit card all from Nov 14,16. They do not have a phone number that will allow you to talk to someone only an email. I was emailed that someone named Scott opened an account using my debit card information. They also told me if I know this person I should discuss this with them. I told them how can I find out who did this with them only providing me a first name?! I've asked three different times for the information of these three different transactions and they will not give me the information I have requested. I want to know what city and state this happened and where the person went for their free rides. It would be more comforting to know if this was just a random hack or if it was someone I know considering my card is still in my possession. Considering they will not give me the information I am requesting it sure makes me think Lyft is the one committing these fraudulent charges so they can make money and then claim the money they steal from innocent victims on their insurance.
I scheduled a ride 2 days ahead of time since it was going to be 11:45 a.m. (my lunch hour). I had no time to waste. I waited 25 minutes and no one showed up. Left me stranded. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE WHO NEEDS A RESPONSIBLE PERSON TO PICK THEM UP!
One of their drivers exposed me to corona and now I can't ride with Lyft! The person I talked to was very rude and basically told me I have to go see a doctor and get cleared like it's been two months and it was your stupid driver who was sick he even looked sick and now I'm being punished $#*! Lyft I'll ride Uber these people don't care the lady didn't even respond to me when I asked her $#*! Lyft!
Horrible first time i tried using them had to keep waiting that no drivers were available …
Substandard
I use Lyft and Uber. Lyft is starting to rip customers off by saying due to high volume they charge you 75 to 100% more than the actual price. That's crazy Uber doesn't do that. Drop Lyft ASAP.
Never use it, wait and save is a joke, driver will not arrive - don't waste your time. I would be better off riding a turte than using their transportation services
I'd called my Medicaid provider for medical transportation. They couldn't even tell me who was supposed to come get me. I'd had just a general time frame, then no one showed up until maybe fifteen minutes later and left while I was on the phone, only to find out it was somebody from Lyft. I had no number for Lyft, only found out what kind of vehicle to stand around in the frigid cold for at the last minute. Lyft tried to send back the same driver, who'd cancelled to pick up his Kid from McDonald's, the second they'd sent cancelled as well. An hour after my appointment was scheduled for their messaging system had still been attempting to summon a driver. The doctor's office was already closed by that time, and they only give you a ten- minute window to be late before they'll refuse to see you anyhow. Had to cancel and reschedule. Made the breakdown of my car just that much more difficult. They let the drivers cherry- pick whoever or not to pick up. Perhaps just because the fare would be less. Thanks piles, Lyft! Never again...
Was travelling back from a trip with two very young children. Driver arrived and could tell he was very annoyed at the prospect of helping with luggage and well the drama of two kids!
I lifted the bags and packed the car and did not talk the entire way which is not like me. We arrived at the destination and I then proceeded to get the kids out of the car. The driver dumped the bags at the bottom of my drive and drove away promptly without saying a word. I could certainly tell yet again that this journey had been time consuming for him!
A day later I then received an email advising me that I had shut the seatbelt in the car which I know for a fact I did not do. Lyft then without calling or asking my side of the story proceeded to quote the terms and condition and removed $50 from my credit card on file which I told them not to without further enquiry.
The driver and the customer service was so inadequate. I liked lyft up until this point but I will certainly not be using them again. To take a drivers word over a customers without a conversation is not good enough.
Lyft is the best thing ever! I've always had amazing drivers and an amazing experience. I highly recommend it. If you need a discount code, use "rideonjules"!
Girlfriends birthday Ruined. Left us stranded for 2 hrs on dark street. Never use Left. Clueless inept drivers. Terrible tech in the app and GPS. Nitemare
I started driving for Lyft a few months ago to supplement income (about 2-3 shifts a week, 4-6 hours per shift) & I'm pretty sure that after wear & tear on my vehicle, I may have broke even. If you don't accept the crap they send your way (10 + miles away for a $2.40 fare, repeatedly) then they send you a message basically threatening to lower your rating if you refuse anything they send to you. Additionally, on several on at least 2 occassions, I traveled 15 mins to the pick-up point, waited the allotted 5 minute boarding time only to have the customer cancel and received $0 compensation. THIS COMPANY IS A LOAD OF $#*!. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!
Look at these idiots trying to scam people Lyft you will go out of business soon iam deleting your app trying to charger 50$ for the same dam distance as i ordered from Uber just want to say F*** you Lyft I was a loyal customer but not anymore y'all don't defssrve my time or money
Driver stopped at my first stop so I could get cash back he knew I needed cash and it had fallen out of my pocket in his backseat which I knew he would have seen because he said I was the last ride of the day he never returned it at my work where he dropped me off nor to my home where I got picked up he knew it was important for me to get cash back and then I needed it but he just kept it for himself even after my $11 tip. Not to mention he scolded me for my political views when he asked me who my favorite candidate was which they shouldn't even do typical Democrat I suppose
I've been using Lyft for years. I can say that 90% of my experiencr with them has been positive. Nice drivers and pretty good company. Will continue using the service.
Scheduled a pickup with Lyft on Thursday to be picked up in Liveoak, Florida on Monday morning at 4:00 a.m. They confirmed it with us and never showed up. They even sent messages that said they were 15 minutes away and then 1 minute away, probably computer generated, and never showed! We paid a taxi $225.00 to take us to the airport in Valdosta, Georgia, and missed our flight anyway. The next flight didn't leave until 9 hours later. The taxi driver said Lyft doesn't even serve Liveoak, Florida. So...they literally knew for 4 days that they were not going to come and yet never emailed or called us. This has been a nightmare. This is a company like many other companies in this country who are only out to make money and don't have a shred of integrity! I called customer support, who said it was for service dog issues which was the only number I could find for them, and they offered apologies only. That's another thing companies with no integrity do a lot of, apologize... But they won't offer any compensation or ever fix the issue. Don't ever use this company!
I have had Zero Problems with Lyft... Drivers are nice and they show up on time... I have discovered that Uber sends alot of Folks to post bad reviews just because... UBER BLOWS HARD! I AM 1000% SAFER IN A LYFT DRIVER... THAN I AM WITH ANY UBER DRIVER. Seems to me that alot of this complaints are coming from the Cincinnati and East Coast Areas... You won't find those issues around here never heard of such holds of 25.00 and credit card info being stolen in L. A. Lyft is HANDS DOWN THE BEST OF ANY OF THESE COMPANIES... THAT'S WHY THE REVIEWS ON THIS SITE CANNOT BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY SINCE IT'S PROVEN THAT HALF OF THESE COMMENTS ARE MADE BY ACTUAL UBER DRIVERS... COMPARE THE BAD PRESS BETWEEN COMPANIES AND YOU WILL FIND UBER HAS ALOT OF RUDE DRIVERS AND NOT EXACTLY STABLE MINDED AT ALL.
So I sign up for Lyft with my friends code referral complete 500 rides and get 2000 dollars looks like I'm not gettting that at all cause they made some $#*!ty blame saying that I touch someone's leg which is such a lied cause all passengers sit in the back they do this for you not to get bonus they knew that I was close to hit the 500 rides so they screw me and shot down my app so I don't accept any rides I been email them no response what so ever this people don't care they just want their money
Answer: They randomly out of the blue deactivated my account. This was there explanation. We found your account to be violating our Terms of Service and you will no longer be able to use the Lyft platform. I can honestly I have not violated anything so clearly there is something wrong with there information but the worst thing is they dont even tell you what the problem is. Oh well guess take my business to uber instead.
Answer: Lft runs different promotions and depending on promotion they promise a signup bonus(500-1100$). Now if they really pay the bonus it's totally up to their discretion.in my case they didn't pay. I completed the 60 Rides required in the first 30 days, which was the requirment to qualify for the bonus but they still didn't pay. After a brief email exchange with a lyft employee(they do not give their position or full name) they stopped answering. Now I am filing a complain with BBB and I will let you know where it goes when I have updates.
Answer: Lyft's customer service is terrible. If they won't correct it, file a dispute with your credit card company.
The company faces significant challenges in customer satisfaction and service reliability, as numerous reviews highlight issues such as unexpected charges, poor communication, and inadequate customer support. Many customers express frustration over billing discrepancies and difficulties in reaching live assistance, leading to perceptions of the company as untrustworthy. While some drivers receive praise for their service, the overall sentiment indicates a growing dissatisfaction with the app's functionality and the company's handling of complaints. To improve its reputation, the company must enhance its customer service responsiveness and address billing transparency.
