I don't understand why this company can exist.
I bought a promotion sim card from their web site, $5.00 for 2 gb a month. First I tried to port in my existing number, but their web site gave a bizzare error, something like: success: undefined. So I call their CS, gave all required information. Then she told me it would take 24 hours to finish porting. After 25 hours, the porting didn't happen (I had their sim card in the phone). So I called again. This time, the CS told me there was no port-in request for my phone #. I was surprised but decided to try again, giving all information... 24 hours passed, porting-in didn't happen. I called again. This time, CS told me that there is a porting request matching the sim card #, but phone # is not my phone #. There are 2-3 digits difference from my phone #. He offered to submit a new port-in request. I told him, forgot it, I have no confidence in the company. It is a waste of my time and money.
Beware, I bought a PAYGO SIM in October. When I opened the package the SIM had to be activated by 9/20/22. $37 for nothing! Scam
Terrible company, downright scammers.
I purchased a prepaid 10GB SIM with EU Roaming. It didn't work well at all. For the most part I got no reception at all, and when I did have a signal it was 2G and barely functioned. Customer service was not helpful at all. The company admitted that I couldn't use the bundle for 9 days, yet they refused to issue a refund.
Stay away from that company.
When I tried to get my account number and transfer pin to transfer my number to another carrier. They ask what company do I transfer to and the most frequent number that I call. Asking about the most frequent number that I call is the way they try to force you to stay with them. I tried telling them with my family's number and it didn't work. Who the fk know the most frequent number they called.
I use lycamobile in France. I recharged my account on Sunday so it would renew my package on monday. On monday I get insufficient funds message saying there's nothing in my account. I contacted the customer service and was told 20 euros was consumed by internet, meanwhile I already had a data plan. Apparently, 20 euros was spent on internet in one day and I got absolutely no notification whatsoever saying I exceeded my data plan. (Which happens to be the day I recharged my account? Lol)
This is not the first time, almost every month I try to select a bundle, I managed to do it, next month it's not renewed. I probably spent $#*! tons of money in the process. I'm going to an Orange store today. Don't ever use lycamobile.
Attached in the image you'll see I renewed it, it told me it will renew my bundle, and then it tells me I have nothing, and that there was problem. You can't be this incompetent.
Bought a SiM topped up £5 tried ot make a call, was told I had insufficient credit, called th e helpline, was put in hold then explained the issue, was tld it was being passed to the tech team and my credit would be applied in 24 hours.
24 hours later still insufficient credit, called the helpline again and was told my £5 had been used on mobile data in the background. Asked if I wanted to top up again
SCAM COMPANY BEWARE
Lycamobile is hands down the worst mobile network operator I have ever encountered. At this point I just feel like I was scammed as I ordered a SIM card with a National M bundle which has been uselessly sitting in my phone for a week now, still waiting activation. It seems I am unable to activate it myself due to some error so I contacted customer service on August 2, I got a process number and was told to wait until it was activated by the tech operators. Well, one week later the situation is still the same and getting some straight answers is impossible. Their costumer service is nothing but a big joke, the "assistants" are just trained to stall: greet you, ask how they could help, say they'll work on solving your problem and wave goodbye. Apart from these, they can't provide any answers or explanations, they're almost like very rudimentary chatbots. So yeah, I paid for a useless piece of plastic and sat with it in my phone for a week like an idiot, lost precious hours of my life trying to solve this issue until I figured out it's probably time to give up and purchase proper communications services elsewhere. If you are thinking about sparing a couple of bucks by purchasing their cheaper services, I'm telling you: you are not prepared to deal with that amount of incompetence, amateurism and disregard you'll be facing from the time you'll place your order and wait for it forever to arrive (you won't be able to track it) up until you'll open it and try to wrap your head around the tangled and very user-unfriendly steps you have to take to make it work. If there's any problem in the process you can just forget about anyone caring.
Lycamobile is an awful company who will STEAL your money. Here is what happened to me-
When it was time for me to leave the United States and stop using my lycamobile SIM card I contacted Lycamobile Customer Service and received instructions on how to ''turn off auto-renewal''. I followed their instructions. This is all documented through an email conversation back and forth between myself and their Customer Service representative. A couple of months later I noticed something strange in my account... a charge from Lycamobile. I checked the months before that and realized they had never stopped charging me. Auto Renewal had never been turned off. I contacted them about this and they said there will be no refund because it says in their contract that ''once the money has been taken they do not give any refund''. I showed them the email conversation between myself and their customer service representative where I followed their steps for auto-renewal to be switched off. They would still give no refund. I was shocked that they would take 4 months of payments for a service I never used and I followed THEIR instructions to terminate and they still let this land on me. I went back and forth with their customer service team for a month and they offered me 1 refund. So they charged me 4 times, but only refunded me for 1 month. They stole 75.00 from me for nothing and never made it right. I am here to tell you watch out for these people, they will STEAL your money and they will not give it back. It doesn't matter if it was their own error, they will not give you any decency.
Don't start, scammers We paid €40.50 on May 13 for a bundle that we did not receive. After many calls, we were promised that the money would be refunded within 24 hours. After 2 days I called again and was told by a very unfriendly gentleman that I had to be patient, it could take 22 days before I would get the money back. The 22 days are now over and I call again. Now I am told that I have to re-apply because the account number is incorrect. Lyca also activated the bundle after 2 weeks, while the agreement was that the €40.50 would be refunded. We had bought another bundle pending the promised payment. Now almost 2 months and many minutes and emails further and still no refund. What a bunch of scammers! Update: Lyca responds and will treat my complaint with highest priority? This should have been arranged immediately after sending proof of payment. Will we now get our money back or will Lyca fail again? Or are the ladies here who call customer service again rudely spoken to by a man who doesn't speak Dutch? M curious. Update 13-7, now a week later: Still no refund! What's hard? Proof of payment sent several times, several times promise that lyca will pay because we have not received the paid bundle and have not received a single cent back. Real scammers, don't get involved. Update 14-7 Lyca does not want to fulfill the repayment of €40.50 that has been promised for 2 months. Because we are still using the bundle (which was not connected in the first place). Of course we use it, we have been kept on a leash for 2 months! My advice: take sim only from another provider and do not work with Lyca. If there is a problem you will have to deal with a very unfriendly customer service that says everything but does nothing
They are promising 50% discount in their site but they charging a full price. They are cheating customers.
Always high quality connection all around europe... I have been with Lyca for years already, absolutely zero complaints
Worst comstumer service i have ever experiensed, wont refund your money when your subscribtion isnt Working or even help getting it to work! Never use this Company
They cheat on your credit.
Wanted to renew my Flat and got the message " u are already subscribed to the Service. Try again later"
Overnight they sucked all my credit over mobile Internet despite being logged in my wifi
Only to receive this message this morning "ur automatic renewal has failed.not enough credit"
Ha, Ha
They bet on your laziness to fight for 10 Euro but they forget its just as easy to file a police report online against all the names in the impressum as it is to write a review.
Trying to port in my number to another provider. Disgusting customer care service. Rep-Eli, manager-Pauline should be fired pronto.
Today I spoke to customer service lyca person name MR JOHN, ID *******. Help me to transfer my old sim number to new lyca sim, HAPPY person and nice talk and solve my problem,
You can not talk to anybody without getting hung up on.
I am not sure how the government allowing them to do business in this country.
This company must be a scam... I found their sim card in some shop, for free, I try to activate the number and top up: the money never arrived on my sim, although the bank transfer went through. Called customer service, they just keep asking data regarding me and my account, never solved the money problem.
I asked on social media if other customer had a similar experience and I found out many, many others have been ripped off like that.
We are now trying, together with other unfortunate customers, to see if is it possible to do something as class action to stop this scammers and we advise you to join and do the same.
Avoid them: if they give you something for free, that means that they will make money on you.
Very poor customer services failed several times to help solve my problem do not listen or read the emails
Because of me you have 1000s of simcard activations and money every where in switzerland, give me what i pay for or il just stop spredding youre cards. Im on youre service for 13 $#*!ing years deepthroat biatch. Youre not just harming users data speed, youre hurting everything people watch and suport. Sometimes youre data is like a $#*! in youre mouth deepthroat $#*!
I paid £30 for their Go Unlimited plus plan (advertised as 30 days unlimited calls) and I couldn't even call through to my chosen country. I requested a refund which they refused. Within 4 days of buying their plus plan they blocked my number. I didn't even get a chance to use my remaining unlimited 30 days minutes to call in the UK. Their customer service is terrible. They don't care about the customer experience. They only care about taking your money.
Answer: Is a legitime scam company that have the worst and arogant customer service ever! I do not reccomend at all!
