Great idea

Kate who helped me was amazing. She was very patient with all my questions and changes. I think the company has a great idea. But I don't think it's worth the price. After paying the fee, you have to pay more if you want information about body type or skin tone, which is really good information. I think it should be one price, or maybe have a separate app with all the other information. But Kate was amazing, and I really, really liked her.

Scam, Beware!

Lumi is an app that comes up on facebook. They claim to have fashion help for older women. I was intrigued so I looked further. It then went on to ask a lot of personal questions, I wondered where this was leading, but thought this is how they know more about you to give you better fashion advice. Then they asked for 19.99. I hesitated but thought I could afford 19.99 for some good advice. After I found I needed to schedule an appointment with a consultant. I didn't want to do that so I just chocked it up to losing 19.99. Never did I see that I was signing up for a service that would charge me 39.99 per month. I tried to explain this to them, I had never contacted them for advice or used their services. I requested my money back and they refused. This is a scam.

Nope. Scam.

The sign-up process is confusing and filled with a barrage of unexpected add-ons. Nowhere is it made clear that nearly everything is a subscription. The "meet with a stylist" feature is essentially a chatbot with a repetitive and frustrating back-and-forth of canned prompts like "yes, no, yes, no." It felt impersonal and tedious. A human sentence emerged between every few canned responses. To make matters worse, they do not allow refunds—even if you cancel immediately after signing up. The experience felt disorganized, not customer-friendly, and frankly, low-budget and scammy. The clothing recommendations were also completely off base. I indicated I preferred a sportier style and neutral colors, but was shown puffy pirate sleeves and bright sapphire blue outfits. It's clear that my preferences weren't taken into account at all. With so many well-designed, customer-centered services out there, there's no reason to settle for a company that doesn't prioritize quality or care. After enough of us "donating" our initial $30, the funds add up for them, I wouldn't recommend contributing to their bounty.

TOTAL SCAM!

Do not do it! They are a total scam. The website is misleading, forces you into agreeing to more subscriptions without you even knowing. Keep you card away from them. I got charge for over $100 for something I didn't even agree. You can't even x-out form the menus. They make you go through so much and then you realized the charged you for over $100! Within 20 minutes I contacted their customer service and requested for a refund, they completely refused it! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME or MONEY! SCAM!

Refund Received after Much Trouble

After leaving reviews here and on several other sites, my request for refund was escalated and I did receive a refund. I encourage anyone seeking a refund use the words "Defective or inaccurate" in their request so that the company has to follow their own policy.

I still think it is in bad faith to say that there is a money back guarantee and then claim it can't be used if you don't like the app - it has to be "defective or inaccurate." I did find it to be both of those things.

Even though I have my refund, I think this is bad customer service. If someone wants a refund within hours of gaining access to your app, it should be an automatic refund.

They promote a money back guarantee but won't honor it. There's no value in the app, it's defective and the information is inaccurate. That should be covered by their refund policy but they will make you jump through hoops. It's really time consuming to get any value out of it, I can't even spend the time needed because of how defective the system is.

Don't waste your money!

Saw an ad on IG for a style quiz, only to find out you need to sign up for a subscription to get the results. Once you sign up, you have to do the whole quiz again and each service is an additional cost. I emailed to cancel and ask for a refund as I had been on the site 20 minutes when I realized it wasn't what they claimed. Customer service would not provide a refund for and instead sent me a general PDF to try to woo me back.
