The company's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from its challenging cancellation process and perceived unethical billing practices. Many customers report frustration over auto-renewal policies, lack of accessible customer support, and difficulties in resolving billing issues, leading to feelings of being trapped in subscriptions. While some users acknowledge the reliability of the software, the overall sentiment leans negative, with numerous complaints about poor service and high costs. Customers express a strong desire for transparency and improved support, indicating that these areas require urgent attention to enhance the company's standing.

You are the biggest con artist scammers and we are petitioning the States Attorney to take IMMEDIATE action against You! Shame on you for conning people
I had a LogMeIn account for $69.95. After 2 years, they took out $70 on the auto renewal. On the next auto renewal, they took out $149 - they did this with no notification and no authorization. I called my bank (Citibank) and they credited it back to my account. Then Citibank went to LogMeIn to find out if it was fraud. LogMeIn challenged it and said they have the right to auto renew since they have the account number. Citibank then reversed the credit and recharged my account. And, there are no refunds from LogMeIn once a charge has been made. THERE OUGHT TO BE A LAW AGAINST A COMPANY BEING ABLE TO CHARGE MORE THAN THE AMOUNT SIGNED UP FOR. Looking online there are others who have had the same experience - some being charged up to $900!
I received that error message when trying to 'check out' on a shopping site, using google chrome. I then tried the site on yahoo internet explorer, where I got a pop-up that I couldn't get past claiming my computer had been hacked etc. and to call this # which I did and let a 'senior diagnostic tech' remote access my computer, background noises sounded like a telemarketer, he finally claimed I needed to buy software to fix the problem; what tech does that,? Red flag up. I told him I already had McAfee and needed to think about it. I was totally fooled. What a scam.
Of course they won't refund, prorate, cancel or in any way support their users. They only care about paying for their in-house gyms, penthouse offices, meetings in the tropics, etc. Look at their website - these are the things they are most proud of. These folks live in a different world than most of us. They are ending support for XP - they live in a world where buying a few new $1000 computers to replace the XP machines would come out of petty cash. You can't expect them to care about your $99 or $150 or $600 subscription - you aren't worth it.
Never again will I ever use this. Horrible costumer service could not understand the idiots from India, and they did not help at all with my problem. I HOPE NO ONE EVER USES THIS AGAIN! I SAT IN FRONT OF MY COMPUTER ALL DAY WAITING AND THEY DID NOTHING!
Been a 6 year customer but needed to make a change to meet business objectives. When I contacted my account rep, I was told multiple times that they could not make financial accommodations. We were locked in to a contract that must play out. That's when I went back to look at their Terms of Service:
2.5. No Cancellations. Except as otherwise provided for herein, Customer may not cancel, terminate or rescind a subscription during its term. Any and all payments by Customer to LMI for access to the Services are final.
BEWARE: You have no right to cancel. Think about this before you use their service.
I have paid for the service, and in the last few months they changed the system requirements, making my office server OS no longer acceptable. They told me they had posted it on their website, and that I should have been aware. So when I requested a prorated refund for the service I have paid for and cannot use because they changed their program, I was informed that they cannot do that. So I get to pay for the service I cannot use because they cancelled support for an earlier version of Mac OS. I cannot update my OS due to an older software that has no update.
I used the service, but when I tried to cancel previous to renewal, there is no way to do it on their web site. Since my credit card was expired, and didn't worry about it until another year and $136 was charged again. How did this happen? Without my permission they arbitrarily renewed my credit card. This is outrageous! I called and got a refund, but they continue to ignore my requests to close my account and remove my personal information. I had no choice and had to report my credit card stolen, (which is exactly what they did, in my opinion). Now they will not be able to auto renew without my permission. Stay away from this site!
I tried to cancel last year, when I was closing my business and it was not working anyway. They said I was on a subscription with no refunds for remaining mos. I noticed when reviewing my statements for year end, I was charged $99 again in Sept to renew Pro. I called to inform them I did not give approval... sorry it auto renews. We can cancel without a refund for the remaining 8 mos of the year.
Don't even consider doing business with this company. The actual service was only mediocre and the fact that they make it nearly impossible to cancel is criminal.
They have now tripled the price over the last two years, and there is no option to cancel a subscription.
I try this product for one year I paid for the first year $ 49, The renewal came twice $ 99 :( too expensive. 100 % from prior year! The worst thing is the auto renew button its no where to be found and for my surprise you have to called to 800 number to do the cancellation they are the only one can turn it OFF, Unfair, no?. Even no message to let you know your product its about to be expired so we have the option to continue or not without messing up your account and paying extra fees to the bank because caught out of guard
Me an my girlfriend used Logmein for little under a year when she was living abroad. We were very satisfied and It was easy to understand and user friendly.
When our subscription auto updated (a while after we finished using it) - we explained that it was a mistake and that we were not planing to use the service in the future, and they simple refunded and canceled our subscription - we were very happy with the treatment.
Would not let me cancel the service and rebilled my credit card. Credit card company want back me up, so I'm screwed.
If you choose www.lgomein.com as a software supplier, you are entering into a contract with annual automatic-rebill and no contract end point. It's a bad situation for the user if things change and you no longer need the service.
No advanced notice of each auto-rebill, means no oppty to cancel. They charge cc of record for a full year in advance and by the time you get the cc bill you can't do anything about it even if your company is closed and inactive.
Ethical companies send a 30-day advance notice of renewal before making the change.
Since logmein does not portion the fee, even if you cancel immediately, you owe the full year... it's too late. Magazine subscriptions are better than this.
Bad deal; bad practice. Tell your employees they cannot enter an open ended rebill agreement and then go find an ethical supplier for your software. Logmein supervisor Alisa L. Refused to credit the charge even though the account showed inactive... so we made a true effort. It's too bad because their software worked well.

I made the mistake of calling the pop up when it said, YOU HAVE A VIRUS ON YOUR COMPUTER. PLEASE CALL THIS 855 NUMBER. DON'T SHUT OFF OR LOG OFF OR ALL YOUR INFORMATION ON THE COMPUTER WILL BE LOST. That is a lie. They told me they are part of Microsoft, I called Microsoft afterwards & they said this company is not on their list but it was too late. They claim they clean my computer but my computer is worst then before cause there wasn't anything wrong with it in the first place. Just wasted $100 for nothing. Now I have to hire another tech support co. To clean up their mess & worry about whether they are doing something to my computer. Please don't for this scam like me. No one there is English speaking so hard to understand too.
He went to the camera and was viewing my files. And i wanted to log out, he didnt let me. I should report this to someone but dont know who
STAY AWAY! Logmein's "new" direction is expensive and deceptive. I've used Logmein for years. We also recommended it to all our clients as an easy, inexpensive way to allow us into their systems for support or file transfers. In the past year they have raised the price several hundred percent just to get the same capabilities. We're going to ask all our customers to switch support programs and are currently looking for an alternative.
Don't try to talk to their customer service about overcharging. They are very inflexible and offer no refunds. I was charged for 3 subscriptions and because I didn't notice it until I got my credit cards statement they refused to refund. Bad Customer Service. I would never recommend this company.
While remotely I was trying to troubleshoot a netwroking problem on a computer (trail version) Some one on the Logmein side typed in my browser challenging me to find their router IP address. Can you image that?! WOW, negative a million stars for LogMeIn.
Answer: Here is the phone # I got: 1 855 746 -0220 or 1 877 641 4831. You can called but no use, since its a scam where they try to get your money & don't care what you have to say. When they remote control my computer, my computer got worst cause in the first place, nothing was wrong with my computer. They just wanted me to buy their security system & the tech support person doesn't even know what they are doing cause now my computer is messed up & I have to call another tech co. To help me out. The best thing you can do is call your credit card co. To dispute the bill unless its too late.
Answer: Maybe for the US only? A bunch of scumbags if you ask me.
Answer: If you have it on a credit card call the service number and explain to them the situation. You can stop it on your end and there is a possibility you can get your money back.
