This was my 2nd time buying from living social Ireland, I recieved my voucher straight away from them they kept me updated and i received my order of 4 fruit trees 1wk later which was this morning so i am very happy with living social Ireland and my trees they arrived in perfect condition and i will be ordering from them again so thankyou
I bought a voucher for helicopter flight, and flight was cancelled few times by merchant, but it did extend my vouchers expiry date. But when I try to book flight again, merchant no more accepts this voucher from this company. As many times I did write to living social about this problem, got no reply. No refund no nothing. Dont buy from this company, as you can be fooled, and only will loose your money.
I've been trying to access my living social account and paid vouchers for a week. Every time I try to access app I see a stupid spacecat cartoon saying Groupon is unavailable. In my opinion this is criminal fraud and theft. Taking my money months ago for a $40 voucher and now wanting to refund $20. UNBELIEVABLE!

Tip for consumers:
Beware of what living social, aka groupon, has become
Ordered goods. Only half order delivered. Have tried several times to contact via emails. But keep getting sent back saying email doesn't exist. Received initial email stating goods delivered. Money taken. Can anyone help?
OK, if you are at all like me, you may check the actual service providers website- I do this for the location and the customer reviews. Well, imagine my constant surprise when I see 42% savings, 60% savings etc etc, WHEN in fact LS jacks up the 'regular' prices and THEN offers a meager $10-$25 off... I find this disgusting and being rtaken advantage of. If you are going to offer a deal, THEN offer a deal! Not some bull$#*!! SO, I URGE EVERYONE TO DO DILIGENCE and check the service being offered website to find THE REAL PRICES! Especially when a lot of us are on furlough, out of work, suffering pay cuts, whatever...#notmelivingsocial #gfy
Hans at Battaglin-USA is misleading and unorganized. We ended up having a great experience but it was not without stress and hassle. Hans did not have us booked at the correct hotels on the correct days and he had us pay out 'bike rental fee' just days before the trip. We had already paid a surcharge on the coupon for cycling. Again, very misleading.
You can do this trip directly with little hassle by booking with Alessi Hotel in Lake Garda (ask for Bruno) and the Hotel Ferritti (ask for Cristina) in Rimini. They know the bike guides, etc.
Please put more of your hard earned money into the pockets of the people who actually provide you a service and make you feel good and important.
My biggest issue is with the location parameters. In my area (which is by no means rural), I can only choose from maybe 3 or 4 general locations (one being a city about 30 minutes away that I don't want to look in).
Second, a lot of the activities are more of the same and nothing really jumps at me. I don't really care about restaurant discounts nor painting classes. However, there is some good stuff like things for kids and services that could come in handy so it's not totally useless. My boyfriend and I have a coupon for $25 off and we may never use it. The one thing that looked interesting we didn't do because the actual online reviews for the event were total crap (and mentioned LivingSocial by name).
Whisky tasting set advertised as 5 miniature bottles, but received 5 test-tubes of what may be whisky. I'll never buy from them ever again.
I have been using livingsocial for many years. Within the past 2 years I have had a few restaurants refuse to accept the certificate. I was issued a credit on the website but I am tired of buying certificates and credits online. I called and the company refused to give credit back on my credit card. I would advise you to call the restaurant or vendor prior to purchasing to make sure they will accept the certificate. Stick to GROUPON!
I bought this item from Living Social. It was £9.99 and stated that full price was £59.99. Nowhere online have I seen it advertised at the full price. In fact, when I received it, it turned out to not be as good as advertised. If I had paid £59.99 for this I would have sent it back with a strong worded complaint. I no longer use it! There have also been other offers that have not come up to expectation.
Tip for consumers:
Be very careful about what you think may be a bargain!
I ordered 3 pairs of earrings on 6/7/16 and received them about 10 days later. On the second wearing, one of the earrings came off the post. I have been trying to contact LS for two days to ask about a replacement. I sat on hold for nearly an hour yesterday before getting disconnected. I have looked all over their site for an email.
I'm not sure I'll ever order jewelry from them again, or anything else for that matter. The vouchers expire too quickly and now that I know what a nightmare it is to get customer service, I'm leery.
I didn't care for Living Socials promotions, they seemed to have to many restrictions and the discounts weren't that good.
Bought a vent cleaning service. Scheduled an appointment, took time off to wait for them and they were a no show. Just to be sure, book an appointment again on a Sat and they were as expected a no show (didnt expected them to show up). The company has terrible reviews. Living Social should check credibility of these vendors. On a good note though, Living Social will refund you with credits promptly. That is why I gave them two stars.
I had vouchers, but couldn't book a day for service due to ignorance of the service... and living social didn't reply on my request right away (when I could ask to return money), then replied advising to contact more, but the person, answering me once after living Social contacted him, disappeared... and when I contacted Living Social again, they said "too late - the voucher expired". Another deal - they didn't mention important details about age limitation, so that voucher also was "lost money"... Also when I want to see deals in my area, they include deals 100+ km away...
This is one confusing site. I can't navigate without getting lost.
My wife and I on separate occasions have had the same issue with Living Social. We decided to make a purchase and the purchase price on our bank statement is different than the price that was displayed and listed on the website. We've tried contacting Living Social by phone and email but with no success. Even though the difference in price was a total of $20.00, it needs to be addressed directly by Living Social.
I have had some really good experiences but too many not so hot. Try to do some research on the companies first.
Have ordered a few times, once the business was out of business and it took several weeks to get a refund. Then restaurant. Com was a scam and the refunded the money again after a couple weeks. Just seems like the don't have the bus worked out our are taking less than reputable companies.
Although LivingSocial does at times offer good deals one must carefully scrutinize any company offering goods or services found on it. They simply do not properly vett companies. I recently got one of their emails which contained ads from two different companies advertising vent cleaning. The first was rated "F" by the BBB and the complaints were typically of no services obtained, blame it on a subcontractor, or bait and switch. The second was not recognized by BBB but had amazingly similar complaints.
This company was ok at first but now it has allowed some junkies from all over the world I mean Chinese mostly they will sell item on here indicating that it ships from somewhere in US as soon as they get your money you will see that item no longer exist and marked redeemed by you.
This has happened to me twice no more I ain't gonna buy from them again forever.
Unless if a pig will fly in my presence then I will buy using LIVING SOCIAL.
Scam.
Tip for consumers:
Well dear friend if you are buying using LIVING SOCIAL make sure you know the seller or do not waste your time at all if you think you got a deal try visiting couple websites to check the item you are looking for.if you can not find it on our well known online retailers
Be ware if some do say free returns how can you return something that shipped from Northern China or Hong Kong? And the cost of shipping is more than the item price??
Rethink before You Buy.
I ordered a camera lens for my i phone (a $179 deal for $16). The site bounced me to a
Site called "Z Shoppers". I put in my credit card #; they said they did not get it; I put it in again. I was emailed that I hadn; t used the discount code. A lie. Next day I checked my CC statement, and sure enough the $179 charge was on there plus a $4.99 shipping charge. I was able to get the $179 removed and the $4.99 remained. $16 was already sent to living social. Beware.
Another antiquated business that needs you to create yet another marginal internet account instead of using top-level single sign on SSO providers ie. Google
I have used LivingSocial before and anxiously waited quite a while for delivery. Would probably usevagain if I wanted the item badly enough.
Very nicely presented deals but ultimately I think they exploit the retailer. But most notably I have just had enough of the terrible customer service. This company isn't for the time pushed mum who tries to book coupons whilst doing other things and is prone to a minor mistake. Unable to remedy something that other companies would not think twice about. I would not use again - I have deactivated email subscriptions, they don't deserve your business, contact the retailer directly and they'll honour the same deal with more flexibility.
Does anyone know where I can get a email address for Living Social?
I ordered and paid for the Texas Highways subscription October 17,2013 and have now found out that the first issue won't arrive until the end of February 2014, that is 4 months after they took my money for the deal and that delay was not in the fine print. Apparently, sites like Living Social have agencies that offer these subscription rates and in order to get these rates, they hold all their subscriptions orders until they fulfilled a certain quota and only then send Texas Highways or other vendor the orders. Without disclosing a four month delay in the subscription up front, I consider that a deceptive act.
I have been a regular customer of Living Social, but if they won't protect their customers from deceptive practices, then they effectively participate and profit from the deceit.
LivingSocial is a leading "daily deal" site that sells discounted experiences and local services--restaurants, spa trips, home services, travel, etc.--via voucher. The consumer must pay for the voucher upfront, and the voucher generally must be used within a specified time period or it cannot be redeemed. To make these deals possible, LivingSocial sells merchants on its ability to help "find and keep more customers". LivingSocial is a private company based in Washington DC and its shareholders include Amazon.com.
