I placed my bid a week before the auction in Coral Gables Auctions (Dec 6,2022) started and received an email saying I was leading bid. I watched the auction live online and no one bid higher than mine so I took that meant I won. A few hours after the auction I received an email saying I lost out on the bidding, someone in-person bid higher than myself and what's troubling, their bid was the same as mine. Why was I notifed I was leading the bidder before auction started. Sounds very fishy to me and it leads me to believe liveauctioneers wanted someone else to win this item
But I lost a lot of money because of this auction, they did not refund my certification costs for the counterfeit bills they sold me. They should pay me my expenses and as well as for moral damage. I practically did the job for them, they should pay my efforts and you should also put some punishment for this type of activity. Kind regards, A. Airepetian

Nice experience with quality of items. Shipping is the big unknown. This auction was a successful and shipping 3rd party was very good and priced right. Could use more photos and description of the condition would help alot.
I have been trading with antiques for more than 30 years. (From before the Internet, when you had to actually go to physical auction house to bid).
Here are a couple of FACTS, based on more than 30 years of experience:
- LiveAuctioneers often have a "Byers Premium" between 25-33%, which is very high.
- Picture quality is the absolutely poorest that I have EVER seen, at any online auction site. (This is a strong warning sign, since that almost always is because the seller wants to hide flaws from a potential buyer).
- The seller's description of the items is almost always non existent, or very, very poor. (This is also to hide potential flaws).
- VERY few sellers offers "in house shipping", so you will have to contact a third party shipper. This becomes costly, and time consuming.
- Their payment system is absolute garbage.
I use the same credit card for at least 50 international auction houses and sites, and Live Auctioneers cannot get it to work.
I do NOT recommend using them at all.
I've tried calling several times. Noone answers the phone. They also do not ship on a timely basis. It's been over 10 days and still have not even emailed or returned a phone call

I dealt with sellers on their website who lied and cheated me and the website would not deal with it. They know of these questionable sellers and allowed them to pray on people. In my opinion you may get a good deal, but most likely, anything you buy will be fake or you will pay maore than you should. When I bid on and won what was an expensive item at a great price, the sellers simply did noy honnor my winning bid. This happened time and time again. These were not reserve sales. And Liveauctioneer did nothing. Not a safe place in my experience.
Won auction on August 2nd, 2021, earrings were delivered yesterday evening September 7th, 2021. I talked to a lady on the phone who clearly stated I would receive my earrings by August 18th, our 42nd anniversary. Well, THAT didn't happen. I don't understand why it took so long for this jewelry to get into my hands. No one has explained why. Not sure if I will ever bid again on LiveAutioneers because of this horrible experience. On top of that they charged me a 19 percent buyer's premium! IMAGINE THAT! I feel like I was ripped off like a bad drug deal! Shameful!

This auction house is not legit they are selling fake duotone photos they say they are selling legit photography items from these famous photographers. Herb Ritts, Helmet Newton, Bruce Weber etc. All the photos they represent are scans from their published books and then turned into photos in which they turn around and sell stating that they are legit duotone photos which they are not because some of the photos that they are selling have never ever been sold to the public or has the gallery that represents them have ever printed them. I am auctioneer and constantly trying to make our presense online better with more visiability and options. Offten I have questions which I need help answering. Yet, anytime I call liveauctioneers, they never answer. It does not matter if it is support, sales or any other department. Also they never call back if I leave message. Manager that is assigned to us does not return calls either. It seems that it either handfull number of people working there and they just dont have time or they simply dont care. Unprofessional!

I bidded on a " 14kt White Gold Womens Round Yellow Diamond Cluster Ring". I bidded at $500 and it said I was winning. The auction either than stood still or froze for over 5 minutes with it still saying I was winning. When it unfroze it said my bid was at $880 and that I won. Shortly after I received an email from Battery Daddy stating " Thank you for your recent Battery Daddy order {OrderID. Cust-ref}. Due to overwhelming demand your Battery Daddy is on back order." This auction site seems very shady.
They are hard to reach and if you get someone (by email only) they're not helpful
Their dispute process sucks also. It's not like EBay where you have a rating number based on positive and negative transactions—Live Auctioneers only keeps bad transactions. Tough when you want to register for an auction event and the auction house only sees a negative

My very 1st participation with this Auction House was an Excellent Experience for a Great Opportunity to Bid and Win the selected Lots which I had an interest in purchasing. I Definitely will be in keeping abreast of upcoming Auctions!
Successfully bided on an item Dec 14th, communicated w auction house to make payment and to arrange for shippers, within 3 days Live Auctioneers charged my credit card with added fees, than we made the mistake to agree for LA to handled the shipping and did not receive the item until Jan 13 one month later. Their so called Managment Team are poor communicators and make up excuses for their lack of competence, in fact they blamed the auction house and the shipper for us not receiving our item and added fees, which was a TOTAL LIE. When we called the shipper to why the item had not been shipped, they said "Item has been packed and ready to ship for over a week, and we have sent 3 request for LA to issue a shipping label which they have not responded to at all". Than after all of this bad service from LA they charged us another added fee for shipping as well. Our future plan… just going to use LA's platform to search for items of interest and than bidding direct with the auction houses, bypassing LA permanently.

Bidders and Buyers Beware. The BBB rating of 1.2 is a clear indication of how this company conducts business. I bought what was supposed to be a vintage Barbie doll set. Upon opening it and picking up one doll (which was not a Mattel Barbie item, rather probably a dime or dollar store junk doll) broke into dozens of pieces, head fell off and arms fell off. Total Junk. Then the other supposed Barbie doll which was in terrible condition clothes (okay I saw that, so overlooked), but it WAS NOT a real Barbie doll. It also is a Regal junk light plastic doll as is in dollar stores. These were advertised as Vintage Barbie dolls. Total JUNK. Not at all usable. When I got in touch with LLC and the auction house Les Collectibles, I was told I should not expect quality, they are used products! Wow! I at least expect to get what I paid for and what was shown to me in the ad. I am filing complaint as well with BBB, but they already have many dozens of complaints there, ie. Look at the rating! Watch out! Do not use this Auction, you'll get ripped off. Also if you're Canadian, be aware that they will charge you in USD, even thought it is a Canadian auction site and auction house, it's going to be billed in USD. Underhanded deceptive devious practices. Very unhappy... never again! Watch out!

Once a sale goes live, sellers have bidders from multiple platforms, floor bidders, phone bidders, etc and they will click sold to whoever bids the highest.
