The site allows scammers to sell fake art passing them for originals and when you report the sellers they do not do anything.

Would give this a zero if I could. The SHIPPING COSTS are OUTRAGEOUS. Complete scam. To ship a painting that was 26 pounds, I had to pay over $400! They drop these off at UPS so that you are put into a situation where you have a final sale item and then UPS can charge you whatever they want and you can't complain because UPS is just the messenger. I will never buy an item from this company again. STEER CLEAR!

The site works fine. Yet, as LiveAuctioneers is somehow a "container of auctions", you need to pay attention to any specific auction house you pick: obviously some of them work better than others.
I'm a first time user of the site, I'm not familiar of how it works. I read the info and I proceeded. So first, I wasted a whole day waiting for the necklace to come up for a bid. I was the only bidder, but nothing shows on my account. I go to the listing, and the necklace is still listed for bidding( so that whole day seem to be a pre-bidding). The next day, I wasted yet another 5-6 hours waiting for the live auction. It comes and I was the highest bidder and it confirmed that I won this auction. NOOOO, I received an email informing me that I lost my bid and then, I was suspended. Yes, I no longer have access to the site for WHATEVER REASON!

I've bought two items from LiveAuctioneers, the first went well and the second was a horror show.
The purchase from Pacific Global(which appears to be affiliated with Liveauctioneers in some way) was for an 1834 Capped Bust Half Dollar(the first pictures.) The coin they sent which is hardly worth its weight in scrap has no resemblance to the pictured coin.
So I requested a refund. After sending the coin back and 20 emails, a refund was processed. I told Pacific Global that I'd write a review, but guess what? When Liveauctioneers processes a refund, the coin disappears from your "Won Items" list and it then is impossible to write a review. So all the people who have been scammed by Pacific Global can't speak publicly about it on Liveauctioneers.
Further, Liveauctioneers shows reviews in a way to maximally benefit themselves and the auctioneers. To wit: The 5 stars reviews are listed first, then the 4 star, then the 3 star, and so on. To get to the one star reviews, you almost always have to click "Show more reviews." So if an unscrupulous auctioneer sells ten good items, they're in the clear- they can rip off people until the cows come home, because those 1 star reviews will never show at the top, they'll always be behind the ten people who actually received legitimate merchandise.
Buyer beware! Avoid Liveauctioneers and Pacific Global(a fly-by-night company.)
This site is in a near constant state of "Not Responding". How are these houses making a sale? I have tried every possible solution from my side. I am going to delete my connection with these people.

They don't vet their auction houses. Dont go anywhere near these guys. I bid and won on a watch and what was delivered was something straight off Canal St. When I asked them what I could've done differently to protect myself (apart from trusting them) they said I should've paid closer attention to the auctioneer and their history. Maybe THEY should've done that before allowing criminals on their site?

I recently bought an item and when I got it home realized it had an undisclosed major structural defect that makes the item worthless. I contacted what turns out to be a 2nd rate incompetent auction house but got nothing but denial, stonewalling and victim playing, never owning up to their misrepresentation. They blatantly concealed this defect, even after I asked specific questions, they made up a quick 'fix' for a defect that can't be fixed. I contacted Liveauctioneers, they responded once, saying they're on it and I never heard from them again. They will allow this dishonest auction house to operate on their platform and will allow other bad auction houses to do the same. Liveauctioneers is a conduit for pirates to make large amounts of money by swindling trusting internet bidders. Liveauctioneers works for dishonest auction houses, end of story. Do not use them, there are other ways to get "stuff", because the stuff you'll get through this bidding platform probably isn't what you think you'll get, and also, you'll pay more for your bogus item.

I bought a lot of jade bangles from this auction house, all their Chinese certificates stated as Grade A but when the GIA results checked are all DYED, POLIMER IMPREGNATED.
All jade are fake, I lost huge amount of money and it's too late to claim my refund. The support center is helpless.

The problems start with sending - in my case - from USA auctions to Lithuania.
Example (there are not only this):
I bought a Japanese picture at the Cedaburg auction.
It cost about $ 98.
I transferred money.
And more - no contact. Nobody reply to my email.
Just write: parcels are sent by our companions - PostNet.
Ok.
PostNet sends a sending offer: 1263 dollars for shipping to Lithuania!
What do I have to think? That I'm - stupid for this buying - because - maybe before an auction i already had to know the shipping cost (?)
Conclusion:
I would - but I'm afraid to buy - because i could get into similar situation again - when the shipping cost is ten times more than the value of the item.
I think - If you are not satisfied with the shipping price - it must be possible to cancel this buying.
When they send an invoice for the item, the amount for shipping must be provided in the same invoice.
I had no problems with sending pictures from Peru - Lima, also from European auctions.
But to buy more at US auctions - don't want more.

Stay far away from this group AND their affiliate Austin Auction Gallery - the online bidding closes and it shows you have the winning bid- then they use your high bid to bid up other bidders on Live Auctioneers site - NICE TRY - my eyes are WIDE OPEN to your predatory practices - at the close of bidding on Austin Auctioneers own site I had the high bid on six lots - all six lots had no other bidders bidding on the items against me which is how I usually bid - MAGICALLY overnight SOMEONE on LIVEAUCTIONEERS apparently won the items - my gut feeling they didn't want to sell the items that cheaply for bottom reserve price so they faked sales to other bidders - SCAM SCAM SCAM don't waste your time on either site - I have photos showing I had the high bid on all six items - it just isn't humanly possible for me to have lost all of them to last minute bidders
