Customer Service was Excellent and Fast

This review is in regards to LG Customer Service and not about any specific LG product.

In complete contrast to most of the reviews left regarding LG customer service I found them to be extremely helpful. I don't know why so many people have had bad experiences dealing with LG customer service, they dealt with my issue promptly and agreeably.

My LG TV developed some discoloration on the screen and the wheel/button on the remote broke which is a very common problem.
I submitted my inquiry on a Friday afternoon and did not expect to receive a response until the following week but I received a response from LG in only a few hours. Further communications over the weekend were also responded to very quickly.
LG have arranged for a repair of the TV, at their expense, and are also sending me a replacement remote also at their expense.
I found LG customer service to be of a very high standard in dealing with my issue.
Excellent customer service such as I have received from LG inspires much confidence in the LG brand.

So strange that so many people have had such a bad experience with LG CS, and so recently, when my experience was the total opposite.

**NEVER PURCHASE ANY LG PRODUCTS. **NEVER USE A & E Appliance Repair** Both their products and their customer service are terrible.

My LG refrigerator stopped working after two years, and it is a disgrace that LG does not have their own technicians. LG spent almost ten days looking for technicians in my area. They apparently found this company to come and fix my refrigerator.

I got an appointment two weeks after they discovered this company. The technician initially arrived and diagnosed the problem before ordering the parts, which were then shipped to my home address. Then they scheduled a follow-up appointment three weeks after the initial visit. The technician arrived and replaced the parts, assuring that everything is in working order. I told him before he left that it didn't appear to be working, but he said we had to wait 24 hours for the compressor to kick in.
Guess what? I was right. It did not work. Then they had more parts shipped to my house and scheduled me for another appointment three weeks after the second visit, which was today. They have the 8am to 5pm time slot. I took the day off from work to wait for this guy to arrive. Around noon, a guy calls and cancels the appointment, citing some lame excuse. We've been without a refrigerator for over two and a half months. This is outrageous. Is LG a real company, or are they operating from a rooftop? They should be selling something else.
Worst company ever. Stay away from LG and this company (A & E Appliance Repair) which is actually Sears. Shame on them.

Garbage Company

We ordered a computer monitor and it arrived with a crack right out of the box. With any other company you would just request a replacement and they would send you a return label for the damaged one. But not with LG. First we called them and they said that we need to wait up to 3 days for an email with the return label. We asked to exchange the monitor and they said that it would be easier just to order a new one. When we went to re-order, it was no longer on sale and we contacted LG again. They said that we would have to wait for an email with a discount code. No email was ever sent. We sent back the monitor and decided to buy one from a different company instead. The tracking info shows that LG received the monitor back over 2 weeks ago yet they did not process a refund. I talked to the chat agent and they said they couldn't help and gave me a number for a parts department. I called the parts department and they said that I had to call to a different department. They then connected me to some lady in India who barely spoke English and had a horrible connection with an echo. She put me on hold then disconnected the call. At this point I just gave up and disputed the transaction with my credit card. Honestly LG should be embarrassed by the customer service and refund system it has in place. This is the last time I ever buy an LG product.

THEY SOLD ME A BRAND NEW BROKEN DISHWASHER - NEVER EVEN BEEN USED AND REFUSE TO REPLACE IT WITH A NEW ONE! I DO NOT WANT THE PIECE OF JUNK FIXED, I WANT WHAT I PAID FOR - A NEW UNIT! WORST COMPANY EVER, NO ONE SPEAKS ENGLISH THEY WILL NOT STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT AND IT HAS BEEN A NIGHMARE.

Broke in 15days!

I purchased LG French door refrigerator from Home Depot on 5/25 and was delivered on 6/3. We were very pleased with our new refrigerator. It has large interiors and very easy to use. Ice was making quick. Plus, very quite. But, the door handle broke after 2weeks. I called Home Depot and was told I'd have to contact LG directly. Understood that part. So, I called LG *******000 and had ridiculous customer service ever. The guy from customer service told me that he'll send me a new door handle but I'd have to pay the technician to put it on. He kept saying I don't have to pay any for the new door handle but I'd have to pay for the technician to come out. What a dumb way to tell frustrated customer who has broken door handle on a brand new refrigerator. I like everything about LG refrigerator but give 0 star on how LG handles the minor issues. It could've been resolved easily. All you gotta do is send someone out to fix the door handle. It shouldn't be broken after 2weeks on a brand new in the first place though.

Before you buy this fridge GB-455UPLE BEWARE it is one of the noisiest fridges I have had EVER.
LG will send someone out to look at it but will charge for it if it is not faulty, considering that they know it is noisy but still works they will not fix or change it, IT HAS A Design fault and LG know it.
DON'T BUY THIS FRIDGE unless you want a noisy unit...

LG.com-Horrible Customer Service

I ordered a washer/dryer/sidekick washer and pedestal during the LG Memorial Day sale. After wondering when it was shipping I called them after a couple weeks and they said it was getting ready to ship. A few days later I got an email it shipped. At the end of June I received an email to set up a delivery date so I chose July 12th since this was the earliest date. I got a confirmation on the date then took an unpaid day off work. I waited until late afternoon and nobody showed. I called delivery company (Costco Logistics) and waited on hold over 2 hours to be told it was never being delivered and they aren't sure where it is. REALLY? PS…. Costco Logistics is no better than LG. They told me they would let me know where my order was. NOPE! No nothing! After over a dozen calls and emails to LG/Costco Logistics, LG had the audacity to tell me my shipment is lost and I would have to reorder online at the higher price…. I had asked them to ship another new set of what I ordered but they can't seem to do that which makes no sense other than this is a total bait and switch if I ever saw one. They have kept my money over 6 weeks, and I have no washer/dryer that I paid for already. UNBELIEVABLE! I desperately need a washer/dryer and my refund. I finally decided to dispute the charge on my credit card since who knows when I'll get a refund from LG. They are the most incompetent company! I will NEVER buy anything LG again after the way they treated me as a new customer!

I ordered a washer and dryer set at the end of October from LGs website. Total inconvenience but delivery is only during the week when everyone has to work. I scheduled delivery for a month out, on a Friday, the only day I was going to be off work during the week that wasn't a holiday. The day I was supposed to get the items delivered, I hadn't even heard from the delivery company for my time window. I called LG and they told me delivery was going to be the following Monday. I told them that wasn't what I scheduled it for and to cancel as I was not taking a day off work for them to deliver. I was told it would take 10 to 15 business days for them to receive the product back, then I would receive an email acknowledging they received the product and within a few days. I would receive my refund. 15 business days later I call and ask for an update as there was no email or refund. I was advised the product hadn't been shipped back and to give it 8 to 10 more business days. 10 business days later, still nothing so I call LG again. This time I'm told there is no update and it will take 24 to 48 hours for a request for an update to go through. They've had my money for almost two months so I disputed the charge with my credit card company. Hopefully they will get an answer. I will NEVER purchase an LG product again and highly suggest you stay as far away from this company as possible.

COLOR ME NOT SURPRISED

I requested a repair of my microwave hood over 2 weeks ago. I was given a ref# for that repair but now that it's been 2 weeks since the request I went online to find out the progress and it's NOT THERE. COLOR ME SURPRISED (NOT)! This is the second time that LG has dropped the ball for repair service. I HAD AN EVEN MORE FRUSTRATING ISSUE WITH MY REFRIGERATOR REPAIR CUSTOMER SERVICE KEPT CANCELING MY SERVICE TO STOP MY COMPLAINING ABOUT THEIR POOR SERVICE. THE CANCELATION COVERS THER LAME BACKSIDES SO THEY COULD SAY THEY NEVER GOT THE REQUEST! THEN 3 MONTHS LATER I FINALLY GOT IT DONE WHEN I WENT TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE COMPANY, THIS IS A VERY UNETHICAL COMPANY. NO INTEGRITY WHAT SO EVER. SAMSUNG IS SO MUCH BETTER WHEN IT COMES TO CUSTOMER SERVICE REQUESTS AND GREAT APPLIANCES!

They will tell you to buy a bundle of appliances and get a 200.00 rebate! Well after waiting 6 months, they sent me a rebate of $114.94! I will NEVER BUY ANITHER LG PRODUCT! WHIRLPOOL is BY FAR a better choice!

I couldn't find the information I needed in the manual or on LGs website so I emailed the with the question. They got back to me within 48 hours and because of the answer I was given I went and bought a soundbar for £499. After attempting many times when connecting the new soundbar to the TV which was fine I just couldn't get the Dolby Atmos to come on when connecting the soundbar, so I contacted LG again for technical advice and was eventually told that my TV model now doesn't support Dolby Atmos after I was firstly told it does so went and bought one. Now I'm stuck with a soundbar that was more than double in cost that I can't use the main function of Dolby Atmos. LG apologised for the incorrect information I was given and had the cheek to offer 10% off a new TV.
I have bought 3 Lg tvs in the last 3years and look at what they have done by giving the wrong advice.
I will never buy any LG product ever again.

Purchased LG Washer & Dry THIN Q Black stackable less than two 2 week old WASHERS NEW LG WKEX200HBA 204KWMK7P539 07/12/22 07/25/22 07/25/23 07/25/27. The washer door not closing properly and the washer door seal appears torn in three places and grey rubber pieces throughout the machine and clothes. LG will not replace an appliance under 30 days. We have an extended warranty, registered the appliance and contacted the Canadian Appliance Source (purchased & their contractor installed) and LG Customer Care. LG Customer Care informed us it takes them 3 - 5 days just to schedule an appointment for look at it. First time purchasing LG and it is a poor start and a long process to even schedule a repair.

On Friday, August 19,2022, after sending all of the required and requested information to LG, we were advised "Great News!...our $809.99 refund has been approved." We never received our refund. Then on Saturday, October 1,2022, we received a text message advising "...you have received a refund." We did not receive the refund. On April 19,2023, I sent a letter via UPS to Thomas Yoon, President & CEO, providing all of the text messages, which included confirmation our $809.99 refund had been approved. Then today, I get a text message advising "...Please note that your refund will be delayed unless all information is collected and matches what I have provided to you in this message." So, even though I provided ALL the required information, received confirmation they have received all of the required information, they expect me to resend everything to them. They are liars! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH LG! Plus, it's apparent, I am not the only customer who has been shafted by this corporation since they have such a low rating. If I could have given NO STARS, I would have!

Stay away from LG
October 16, 2023

Fridge is only 5 years old and stopped cooling. I had a technician come out and diagnosed it as being the compressor that failed. He advised me that there is a class action lawsuit on the compressor for my model fridge. The first phone call, the guy was nice. He took my info but never called me back. My second phone call was HORRIBLE! The lady I spoke with was very rude and basically told me she could not help me. Multiple phone calls later, and I found out today that LG would not help me with the repair due to it says on the sticker "refurbished ". I told them I did not know when I bought the fridge that it was refurbished. Also the compressor is still the same compressor involved in the suit. That was never touched and I have pictures to prove it. He told me that LG is not willing to help me with the cost of repairs. I will NEVER purchase another LG product ever again. They DO NOT stand by their product! STAY AWAY FROM LG PEOPLE! He offered me a coupon towards a replacement but there is NO WAY I would purchase another product of theirs if they do not stand behind it. You lost a good customer LG.

I do not have an issue with LG washer and dryer that I bought The issue I have is that I ordered a pedestal for the LG dryer online! They're delivery company RXO is the worst delivery company I've ever dealt with! RXO the trucking company that's used by LG rescheduled and canceled six different times. I finally canceled the order and it took two months to get my refund back. SO I REPEAT DO NOT ORDER ANY LG PRODUCT ONLINE. JUST GO TO RXO'S WEBSITE AND LOOK AT THE PEOPLE THAT ARE IN THE SAME POSITION I WAS. THEY ORDERED SOMETHING FROM LG ONLINE AND RXO LET THEM DOWN EVERY TIME. NOTHING BUT HEADACHES.
