The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by widespread customer dissatisfaction regarding product quality and customer service. While some users appreciate the design and reliability of Lenovo devices, a predominant sentiment reveals issues such as poor build quality, frequent malfunctions, and inadequate support. Customers frequently report frustrating experiences with service delays, unhelpful representatives, and unresolved warranty claims, leading to a lack of trust in the company. This feedback suggests a critical need for improvements in product durability and customer service responsiveness to enhance overall customer satisfaction.

Let me tell you about my experience.
I purchased a chrome book from your website August 13,2022. It was sent back and received in your warehouse wherever it is August 30,2022.
Today is October 29,2022, that makes 42 business days since you received the chrome book in your warehouse.
I have sent emails, I have called and I have called and called some more. I have yet to receive a refund on this chrome book that was sent back to your warehouse August 30 of 2022.
Every time I call I get the response of it takes 3 to 5 business days! Within that timeframe I get an email that states it takes 2 to 10 business days to get a refund. I have heard this three or four times since I've called since October 1. I waited the 30 days without responding giving you time to do something and now it's been well over 60 days and I've yet heard anything!
I have contacted Apple to get my refund as that's where I purchased it through! I do not understand why it has taken so long to refund me!
I'm tired of getting nowhere when I call! So, instead I am leaving reviews all over the internet how horrible they are and not refunding me in a TIMELY MANNER!
Lenovo (or Lenovo customer service) is cheat. I had a nightmare with Lenovo. Around 9 months ago, I purchased a Lenovo idealpad online with split payments from 1)a gift card from Lenovo and 2) a credit card. The next day I saw the online price dropped by $200. I plan to cancel the order and repurchase it. When I start to cancel, the website shows very friend message "we will match you the price difference…." (do not trust this!) I called Lenovo and got same answer "the matching REFUND will go back to my original purchasing credit card". I trusted Lenovo at that time. However I did not see the matched refund within next several weeks on my credit. I called Lenovo and got answer that refund was sent to my gift card (this was issued by Lenovo, by going this this card, I will be forced to buy Lenovo product), but problem is I don't have that gift card information, which means that refund is blind to me. I called Lenovo again and again, and eventually a manager made that refund as rewards points to my online rewards account (they do not want to refund to my credit card). I thought that is my money and will be able to use it later. However, 6 months later, the rewards $200 is totally disappeared. I am very sad and spent a lot of time talking to customer service back and forth many times include their manager but eventually the answer is "they can apply the $200 points to new purchase next time, and they can only apply rewards points for machine, PC and Desktop computer and the rewards will apply 30 days from invoice date…." Do I trust these guys? They want to cheat me to buy more Lenovo and who knows what will happen next. Lenovo is robber.
My order to Lenovo was on June 1,2022 and payment made afterwards. It is now Oct 16,2022. I have received neither my order nor a refund. Upon what business principle is Lenovo keeping my payment?
Sincerely,
Ray
Lenovo is the worst computor i ever got it wasn't even worth going to go buy it it breaks down steady
If there was a negative rating I would have chosen it. Premium Care - HA. It is 3 weeks since my computer broke and it still has not been fixed after 2 attempts by a technician. I have an All-In-One A540 and the touch screen stops working, the cursor jumps around to the point you can't even login. There are bubbles that appear on the screen. Twice now new parts have been ordered, a technician comes to do the repair only to say that the parts must also be defective. How can anyone go 3 weeks at the office without a computer? Totally unacceptable and this is Premium Care! They want me wait another week to send more parts. Just give me a refund already!
Owned two high end Lenovo laptops and both broke within a year.
1. Bought a Yoga 7i 14" ($1000) with i5 Evo in August 2021, hinges broke and cracked the top in August of this year. Called customer service and they told me I need to pay for the repair as warranty expired 10 days ago. Actually it broke 3 days before it expired, but was busy at work and until I called it was too late.
2. My job gave me a brand new top of the line X1 carbon latest gen in 2018. Six month later blue screen, motherboard died, luckily replaced under warranty.
Never buying Lenovo again! All my friends call me for advise and I warned them all to stay away from cheap Chinese products like Lenovo. My Macbook Air M1 is waay better in every aspect for $100 less.
Built quality, performance, screen resolution, battery life, NOT heating ever!
WHAT A $#*!TY $#*! COMPUTER, this system sucks takes 15 minutes to turn on a 32 bit back in the 1990's works. Better $#*! LENOVO garbage company don't spend a dime.on these $#*!s
I am really so frustrated and disappointed from all thatI have to deal with the last three months. My laptop is coming considered brand new I only bought it few months ago. Three months ago I had an issuer with the camera and I had to go through the remote control session three times and there was a technician that has been sent to my location two times and yet I keep facing the same issue so finally I sent it to the Depo and they send it back seven worse and surprisingly they even wrote in the report that there was nothing wrong with it. The laptop is not even working at all now as it is shown in the video below that I attached; not even showing me the desktop icons! I don't have to tell you how many lectures and work I have missed because of this is issue and how many times I have been put on hold to reach to a supervisor and yet nothing happened! The laptop now is not only not fixed but also even more worse. As you can see I have no access to it all now I totally don't know what to say to be honest more than I am really so disappointed and frustrated. The only thing I need now is a refund to my money or a replacement to the whole device that is the least I deserve after all this waste of money and time!
I bought 2 top of the line, maxed out lenovo thinkpads for a total of over $3800. 00. I included an extended warranty that I updated a few months ago when the original warranty got down to a year. A few months later one of the laptops started getting a smart audio error, then the input and output devices disappeared completely! I went through ALL of the standard fixes lenovo had listed on their support page and in their forums. Nothing worked so I entered a supprt ticket with lenovo. After a few days I got an e-mail that the ticket had been closed, with NO resolution. When I went to the support page to check, I discovered that they had changed their login procedure. I got through finally, found the page with the ticket on it and discovered that they closed the ticket because the laptop was out of warranty. The warranty that i thought had been extended had been turned into an updated warranty that would not start for another 2 weeks! We can't risk anything major going wrong with the laptops until the "updated" warranty starts so they are turned off, just sitting there being paperweights for over 2 weeks. It's a highly deceptive business practice that takes money from you and absolves them of any responsibility.
Bought a tab P11 because it had a nano-sim slot. As per the specifications, this tablet comes with a card slot for a nano-SIM. Guess what? Mine came without. I'm done with Lenovo.
I purchased two laptops in 2021 from lenovo. One was a ThinkPad T14 with top specs (technically ordered in 2020 but not delivered till 2021) and an idea pad 5 with decent specs.
I immediately hated the T14. It didn't do nearly as well with things as the Idea pad 5 despite the incredible specs in the T14 versus the idea pad. Eventually the T14 started overheating so bad, the fan often never coming on, that the fan started making a horrible unbearable noise. People couldn't sleep with it on and I couldn't have video chats or calls. Fortunately I put in a ticket right before the warranty expired but I have no faith it will be honored as the mail is delayed. We'll see. That said, if they don't fix it, it only becomes a matter of time before it becomes a brick. No laptop that costs more than $1000 (this was almost 1500 with a black friday sale) should become an overheated noisy brick within a year.
The ideapad 5 was ok for the specs. It was also hot and didn't cool down well but having a wide base and thinner body I could keep it from burning up. Until after the warranty expired. A piece fell off the screen on the bottom and I couldn't get it back on. The screen over a week began to pull away from the body even though I was very careful. Until today when the screen connections literally fell apart from the body. I have no other laptop. I can't afford to get it repaired and the Lenovo warranty is out. I gave lenovo every dime I have and now I have junk. I have bought many laptops in my life, including used ones from pawn shops. Though I have those I hate and love and I have literally never had one literally fall apart in my hands. Seriously, this thing is actually falling apart. I have to have the screen gently propped up against a box of soymilk or other things just to keep it together. Pretty soon it will be a useless piece of junk.
I will never buy lenovo again and I recommend you do not either unless you like tossing your money away on disposable laptops.
I had an apalling experience with Lenovo. Most unresponsive staff(especially the case manager named 'Sky'). My brand new laptop suddenly stopped charging and after getting it repaired once, the same issue re-occured within months. And this time, the lenovo support staff are extremely unresponsive and rude. I regret buying a Lenovo device. Inspite of all this trouble they caused, they did not compensate me with anything.
I purchased a Detachable X12 with the reassurance I could get a hard case online. Apparently this is not possible. The website says temporarily out of stock but no one knows when or if ever that it will be available. On multiple calls with Lenovo the go to customer service answer is "I don't know". When asked if I can speak to someone that does know. They don't know who to direct me to. I asked if they have an organizational chart but all I got was about 5 minutes of silence while they acted like they were trying to figure out how to get out of answering. I actually thought they hung up. This company is the epidemy of disorganization. I will NEVER buy Lenovo products again. Save yourself some aggravation and steer clear of this train wreck of a company.
So I ordered my Lenovo laptop online a few months ago. I'm finding it inconvenient to use. Every time I boot it up, I am inundated with forced download/apps which is a time waster. And this is even before I can begin to log on. The security of this computer is also of concern for me. I am hesitant to use it to pay bills and do my banking on it. I have resorted to using my phone instead that requires my sensitive, personal information. I got it on a good deal, but I guess I got what I paid for.
When will I learn? What happened to Lenovo? I still have a 2013 Desktop that functions great when Windows updates don't screw it up. The last Lenovo tablet I bought, the larger 10 inch, could barely function online. The screen would rotate if it wasn't PERFECTLY level, and it would freeze. After a year of dealing with it I threw it out, thinking it was an anomaly. Then I bought this. THERE IS NO BACK BUTTON. I have to go back to the website's first page if I need to go back. It freezes all the time. Even while writing this review. I also can't find the button to show all of the open windows, so the battery drains quickly. These buttons are usually on a line at the bottom. I don't have that line. So this is garbage. I'm using it only for the Kindle app now and have to find an alternative for my professional needs. So that's almost $300 spent in 13 months on Lenovo tablets that were absolute mistakes. Lenovo is done. Its glory days are gone. I love my desktop and wish the quality had continued.
By shopping on the website you get rewards points to use on your next purchase... BUT there's no way to apply the points to the items in your cart. Yo see how many points you have... but they're impossible to use. Staff is no help at all.
I've referred to it as my paperweight.
15 minutes after hitting the start - your selected program might open.
From the start it has never know speed. After a year, it's out of here.
Never Again.
I bought Lenovo All in One computer a year ago. It started shutting down by itself about 3 months ago, but it turned on after that, so we kept using it. In December 2021, it didn't turn on and since then it's dead without the power and that was a week after the warranty was expired. I tried to contact Lenovo, but I called a few times, and the machine says "request a call back" however they didn't make it easy for the one out of warranty, the page doesn't exist. I called again and finally talked to someone. She said that it would get repaired and a box would arrive to send it to the repair shop. Nothing was delivered after 2 weeks and called them again and they said that it was out of warranty so I should go to a local technician to get repaired. I also brought it to Best buy as I bought it from them. They didn't much do and said I should contact Lenovo. I decided to go to a local repair shop to get repaired. I talked to a few different places. They all said that this must have been a manufacture defect and the repair cost is almost same as a new computer. I called Lenovo again and they said that the case is escalated, and a manager would call you. Of course, no one calls me. I called a few times after that and it's always the same result. Few people hung up on me after they said please on hold. I also have another laptop a half year old. It already started acting weird... It takes 3 minutes to start... I would never ever buy any products from Lenovo again! Stay away from Lenovo!
Build quality is very Poor, Warranty is a Joke, and the software doesn't work with the hardwear, making your full time job trouble shooting why your laptop is broken and fighting with the warranty claim to just get something done.
If After spending over £10,000 on top of the range laptops this is how they treat their customers! God help any one buying any other piece of trash they sell.
Nothing but problems from start to finish will be looking elsewhere in future and making sure people know how bad the company and products are.
Stay away.
Issues include:
Screen falls out of a £2000 laptop...
HDMI dosnt work on a £2000 business laptop...
Keyboard feel is inconsistent from laptop to laptop
Laptop runs and works with a external monitor, laptop screen is blank...
USB-C harness broken so that usbc port is unstable for data transfer and unstable for charging.
And many, many other poorly optimised software issues...
I am having a horrible experience. I bought a IdeaPad 3 almost a year ago. Within the first 2 weeks I had to return it because the battery wasn't working. Now less than a year later, I have an important paper to write and the computer started slowing down. I called Lenovo for help but was told that I had to purchase additional service to have a technician help me with my solution. My sister had the same problem, but was able to return hers because she had the extended warranty. Not so lucky for me. I will never buy Lenovo again! Worst customer service! I am still waiting from January 4th for a response from the online inquiry.
Answer: They responded quickly to an online warranty claim, albeit with a denial of coverage. But the answer was very fast.
