I was expecting to find the chain of ownership for my home. Unfortunately, none was included with the report which is the reason I inquired in the first place. Otherwise, the report is factual, and useful but values somewhat dated.

I signed up for a one time lookup for one dollar. The information provided was all available on public record sites but it was convenient to find it all in one place. However, I have had $18.95 billed to my credit card for each of the three months since. I tried to cancel on line and by phone but they seem to be in no hurry. I would not advise using this service even if you only authorize one time only payment for a single search.

Quite an interesting service as to how they consolidate a lot of data about home into one nice report. The data seems quite accurate and from available public records. Saves a lot of time by their service. Slick website flow as well.

Legal Home Lookup did give me information I didn't have. Since this is an older home, I would have liked more data about former owners and details about possible sale value. I wanted to see photos on Zillow.

The site stated I would be charged a dollar. The dollar charge appeared on my card along with a separate charge of $23.95 which I disputed. From the reviews I am making sure they don't try to make this a monthly charge. What I ended up getting was someone's spreadsheet (not a legal document) showing my neighbor is the owner of my home. Also, the site stated that I would get property details, tax history, payment history, mortgage history, etc. none of which was on the spreadsheet. When I emailed them I was told sorry that is all we have on the property, but here's another site to go to. Save your receipt and we'll reimburse you.

I purchased a new home and started getting cash offers for the "12 acres" that i supposedly purchased. I only purchased a small home on a half-acre lot, so I tried to look up the property online to see what was being reported, the link for my county took me to this site and for $1.00 I was supposed to get a report. There was no info provided to me on the property unless I create an account and log in. After Logging in there was still no info, then I received a fraud alert on my credit card app. Not only did they charge $1.00, but then charged an additional $23.95. I disputed the charge. The next month they charged an additional $23.95. I cancelled the credit card and received a new number and I do not know how but they are now charging my new card 23.95 and I am having to go through the dispute process again and again. How to get FBI or someone involved to shut down this scam.

Everything in the report looks helpful. I am a widow who hasn't purchased a lot of homes in the past. It was always so easy to rely on my husband in these matters. But now that I've seen the information from LegalHomeLookup -- and I have the Property Inspection Checklist for referral -- I feel a lot more confident about being an informed buyer. Thank you! I actually got more info than I was looking for. What I was interested in was the physical characteristics, i. E. size, number of rooms, sq. Footage, etc. The ability to get the title info was a plus. I was not interested in the provided resource library, but I found the Home Inspection checklist to be pretty through and I may use it in the future.

When down sizing but wanting workshop space it was very helpful to checklist not just the space but access to utilities: HVAC, electrical outlets, and non conditioned space.
