If you're considering Leaf Filter for your gutters, please don't! I bought mine over 7 years ago and everything was fine for a while but a few years ago I started getting a "Niagara Falls" overflow when we got a hard rain and water went into the basement because of that. They claim it keeps everything out of your gutters. Yes it does, including the water! I had someone climb up and take pictures before I called them about the overflow. I had to pay them ($95) to come "check" them and "clean" them and was told the "gunk" on top of the screen was pollen and algae. He used a scraper and broom head to "clean" the covers of pollen but did not do anything about the algae. He said there was still algae covering them! He then said they weren't in good shape and should be replaced. "The newer covers don't clog as much." Why do they clog at all? I would have to pay for new mesh covers every 5-7 years! I was expecting him to use some solution or something to clean the mesh but he didn't. I had someone check them a few days later and the screens were not really cleaned at all. (Pictures attached of post-cleaning.) I didn't get a receipt for the cleaning but was told they would email it to me. He didn't take my email address and I doubt they have it after 8 years. I still haven't received my receipt. I had all the covers removed by the same man who took the pictures. I'm waiting for the next hard rain to see if I get any overflow again. We purchased the lead filter to protect our roof and to keep my husband off a ladder after dealing with health issues. We were assured that we would not have to worry about any maintenance. Since installing the leaf filter we have had nothing but clogged gutters. Have to clean them 5 or 6! Times a year versus every couple of years without them. I have called and they sent someone to clean the gutter 2x. When I called for the 3rd time they said I would have to pay for them to clean the gutters. What! I'm completely disgusted with their product. Everytime it rains the gutters run over the edges. I want them to come remove their product and refund my money. I will go to local fairs and farmers markets and see if they have their booth set up and warn people to no my purchase this product. This has been a problem since 2023 when it was installed. Have left review before. Hoping company will reach out to solve this problem. 12.29.24 - just cleaned the leaves off a few days ago and had to do it again today. Low maintenance … not, don't waste your money. Spread the word. Tell your friends, neighbors … everyone. We want them to come remove it and give us our money back!

It was a total rip-off, bait-and-switch sales pitch made by an ex-marine veteran. A guy you think would be honest. I thought I was getting gutters with filters but all I got was gutters! Not worth the price for just gutters! The salesman was misleading. Leaf "FILTER" means a filter system. The salesman told me all about the proprietary surgical material they use on the filter and never mentioned the fact that I was not getting the filter system, just the gutters. I paid $1,000 for 51 feet of gutters and two down spouts. Only ½ of the required ground tubing was installed. The job was completed in under 90 minutes by four non-English speaking men. Of course, I had no idea that Leaf "FILTER" made gutters without the filter. If I had climbed a ladder and seen that there was no filter system, I would have refused payment and told the men to remove the gutters. No, I did my part and paid for the work, but it was not the work or product I was led to believe I had contracted for.
When I complained online at *******@leaffilter.com, I got no response. Calling *******566 resulted in a phone call from a guy that says they did everything that was in the contract by installing just the gutters. The filters would be at least $800 more.
When I complained, he pointed out that the contract had written only "gutters." He denies any wrongdoing by the salesman.
Now after reading the reviews of the filter system, maybe God did me a "favor" because the filters just clog up. I'm lucky that I live in an area where freezing is not an issue, as the filters freeze and cause ice bridging.

/something didn't look right so I got up the ladder and found that the end of a panel was curled up, allowing leaves to enter the gutter. I called the LeafFilter office in Baton Rouge, LA. They wanted to send a man and charge me $95. I told them not to send him as I didn't see why I should pay when the problem was due to shoddy installation or defective product.

I'd rate -stars if it were possible. All they'll do is take your money & run. No 100% warranty and certainly no customer service! Scammers! Take advantage of senior citizens & veterans!

I had Leaf Filter system installed in March of 2023 and it failed in February of 2024. It's life time warranty does not cover snow and Ice that forms on the gutter screen. This should not be sold in the northern states that get Snow and Ice on the roofs. There factory representative told me to contact my insurance company to cover the damages. This company won't stand behind there Live time warranty. Going to court to settle this claim. Tom Anderson Elma, NY

I called to get an estimate and the guy named Rob came out and quoted me over 14,000 dollars and then he acted like he was giving all these discounts to help and brought it down to over 8,000 dollars so I got ahold of corporate which the guy named Ray called me and was rude wouldn't hardly let me talk just kept taking up for his salesman rob they both are con artist trying to take advantage of people and rip them off he even asked me what would I like to pay then if I could choose then why did you try to over price me in the first place see I could have brought them alot of business but I don't deal with companies like that they both need to take a look at there selves because you treat people how you would want to be treated and when you do people dirty it will come back to you I'm a firm believer in that I've seen it happen with other people I would have went with them but like I said they are a company trying to rip people off so DO NOT GO WITH THEM UNLESS YOU LIKE BEING TOOK ADAVANTAGE OF!

I asked to be removed from the call list, but they continue to call me twice per day even at night. I consider this a harassing sales tactic. They should stop calling me. When I block one number, they call me on another. I don't know what their problem is, but their behavior is really bad. Based on this harassment I would never buy their product.

I needed simple gutter repairs to existing gutters. I made the mistake of filling out a request for quote with what was represented as a local gutter service (nowhere did the site say LeafFilter), result from a Google search
My contact info was sent over to Leaf filter and I've been getting wake up calls every morning. Blocking the number won't work, you get another automated call from a different no. I called them and asked them to remove my contact info. I'll see if it works. I don't appreciate the bait n switch marketing. I can't afford thousands for gutters and have no patience for hard sell tactics.

I get this after they tried to buy me off with just $500. I didn't sign. THIS is why they have such a high rating!

Had a rep.come to my house for an estimate. After a sales pitch he offered new gutters for $14,700.
I have a 1 story 1900 sf home.
Almost 15K for gutters, really. I told him "no way". In less than 2 min. He dropped the price to $11,500
This is a total rip off company that preys on the un-informed.
Stay away from them. Don't know how they sleep at night

BEWARE! I thought I was getting gitters with filters but all I got was gutters! Not worth the price for just gutters! I would have gone somewhere else. The salesman was misleading. I think he knew I wouldn't have paid for that so sold me only gutters. Of course, I had no idea that Leaf "FILTER" made gutters without the filter.

If you have pine trees on your property, you won't benefit from Leaffilter. The pine needles collect on top of the screening and back up onto the roof, causing shingle damage. I paid over $3,900 for Leaffilter. When I called them, they want to charge me $95 to clean the pine needles off of the gutters. I am 77 years old. They advertise that you will never need to get up on a ladder again. Don't believe them. This product should never be sold to anyone having issues with pine needles.

2 months ago I had Leaf Filter come out to give me a quote. According to the less than professional salesman, he didn't drive an hour to "just give a quote". The filter part was going to be $12,000 ALONE. His gutter price started at $7700. We have an average size 2500sf home with an attached garage. We also have a detached 3 car garage.
When I said thank you for coming out, he got upset. Said the above quote and then said, "well, you're a contractor. I can give you a contractors discount". The price went down to $5800. I again said thanks and stood up. He started throwing his sales materials in his bag and stomped down our side walk, I didn't let him in our home. Then while I was talking to my painter, he came over and said "he could take all of his comission out, and at least the company would get the business". This price was $4400.
I told him thanks and to not hit our gate on his way out.
You think that would be the end. About two weeks later I get a text from the "sales manager". He says they have "left over materials from a big job in my area and the could discount my job". If you know anything about gutters, there are NO left over materials. The aluminum material comes on a very big roll. You just take it to the next job. His price now is $3632.14. Really... From $7700 to $3632.14 for, per his text, "the exact same material and warranty as quoted by the salesman". Can you believe their sales practices? How unethical is this? I am contractor, I own a custom closet business and I couldn't sleep doing what they are to customers, and I told him. I do feel sorry for all the people who fall for this. Oh, and by the way I had a small local company do all the gutters, with the same gauge materials, for $2500. Good luck.

They won't answer any phone calls or texts about missing replacing a downspout. They overpriced me of course

Salesman named Justin strong armed my wife with pushy sales tactics. When my wife told him she'd have to talk with me he had her sign paperwork as he told her it was he did an estimate and provided a quote. I got home and read the paperwork and found out it was an actual contract for installation of $3500. I had my wife called Justin immediately and cancel which he said fine. The very next day while we were at work Justin had the installers come to our home. They left an incredible mess with metal pieces all over our yards available for our dogs to get at. I called with a less than nice message informing him to come remove the crap off our house because we weren't paying for anything under such shady sales tactics. I received a certified letter from a Trina Williams stating since we didn't cancel the order we'd have to pay $3500. I informed this woman we did cancel with the salesman and not only did he say fine. He still sent the installers out the very next day. This is the absolute worst company I've ever dealt with. I've even called their 800 number three times and after speaking with three different people saying it would be dealt with, we're still getting harassed by this company!

Warranty is a joke. Doesn't cover anything and if you have your roof done and their service workers come to uninstall and reinstall it's a minimum of $450 or the warranty (that's not worth anything anyway---had to pay $150 after Ian took half my gutters and gutter screens out) is void. I'd rather let my roofers damage the gutter screens and replace with Home Depot gutter foam. Then the tech they send doesn't even have his shoes on all the way and wreaks of pot. Never again. Don't care if the warranty is voided. Not another dime will be given to these scammers.

I had such a great experience with Leaf Filter in Ohio that I also had it installed in my home in Florida. I was impressed with the salesman to the well-qualified and polite installers. Although it is expensive, I know it will save me from paying to have my gutters cleaned twice a year! I highly recommend Leaf Filter.

Yes, I had to leave filter stole gutters and leaf filter system in 2020. They sold the back gutter all the way up against the shingles. So now the water is flowing back underneath the shingles and then back into the house which is closing major damage if anybody is going to use them make sure that they do the job right and you have somebody there. They can look at it before they leave, now they've done all kinds of damage to the walls. Now I have to replace all the sheet rock. Now they don't wanna come out and do anything about it. They keep on telling you that they are.
