As a former Windsor office leaf filter installer I can tell you that the salesman will include a larger footage estimate by 20 to 30 feet often (salesman leif ingalls), the installers do not clean the gutters well, do not seal the gutters well, do not clear the down spouts ever & will damage your roof by their inexperienced walking on the shingles hot also tearing your roof up with the filters. If you had to have a service call for your faulty installation you will get a technician named eddy who doesn't know how to use half of the tools that he has got. This product is expensive and you'll get this service 9/10 times for around $7000 dollars. Its a poor office where not a single person there knows how to work with gutters & gutters are as simple as it gets.
Just over 12 months ago I had the leaf filter gutter guards installed on the front and rear porches of my home as pine needles blowing off trees and onto roof would constant plug the gutters. Ads on TV and displays caught my attention, especially the TV ads "Never climb a ladder again". Leaf filter guards were installed. Yesterday the first heavy rain of the year washed pine needles onto the leaf filter covers, where they are stuck and the water ran over the needles and off the front of the gutters. The service department of Leaf Filter doesn't have to be as charming as sales. They know they have you screwed and can't do a thing about it. Told me they would come out, but if it would be a $95 charge because they only guarantee that stuff won't clog the inside of the gutters. Wait a minute; the ads and sales people conveniently leave this statement out, so technically they can get away with it. Don't be fooled by their sales pitch like I was, Spread the word what a scam they really are.

This company is a joke. They arrived to put gutters on I was inside thought they knew what they were doing. Go out they are putting white gutters on. Totally wrong color. I live in a H0A development do you see any white gutters? Contacted them they did come back with the color I ordered. So now I have no gutter covers on a whole section in the front of house. Noticed it when the gutter was over flowing and we looked and pine needles all in it. They are saying they can do nothing. Asked for a bill I signed but so far after 6 calls none has been presented. Looking closer one of the gutters has a slit on the end. This company is a joke. See you in small claims court since I found my paper that says filters on the gutters.

I researched this product online and was contacted by them. I agreed for an appointment and found the representative very polite and knowledgeable. I was impressed with the demonstration and guarantee. The installation went great and the technician really knew his job. He was surprised that we had chipmunks climbing up the inside of our gutter drains. He installed screens at no extra charge. We just had a real heavy rain storm and I observed that these units work amazing. We are extremely pleased with our experience with this company.

They charged us to clean the gutters and left most Of the debris is on the ground how are you gonna charge somebody to clean something and leave the mess but just move it to the ground and out of the gutter it's ridiculous

I will start by saying that I think LeafFilter is selling a good product, and all of the installers I dealt with were very competent, courteous, and honest. Ultimately, I am happy with the installation, but your mileage may vary greatly depending on the quality of the local office arranging the jobs. The Albany, NY branch operations were terrible. It started off poorly with a salesperson who made a bunch of promises about job timing and process and made good on none of them. LeafFilter struggled to arrange my installations, struggled to provide accurate contracts that reflected what we discussed, did not send the right quantity of installers the first time for either of my jobs, and did not send the installers with the correct Bill of Materials for the job. When I was finally able to get installers on site, I had to re-explain both jobs to them as they had been sent without proper briefs from their schedulers and had been sent with extra materials that were not applicable. LeafFilter seems to be selling a good product, but their Albany, NY branch management is certainly not representing the company the way it portrays itself in terms of competence or professionalism.

My contact info was sent over to Leaf filter and I've been getting wake up calls every morning. Blocking the number won't work, you get another automated call from a different no. I called them and asked them to remove my contact info. I'll see if it works. I don't appreciate the bait n switch marketing. I can't afford thousands for gutters and have no patience for hard sell tactics.

BEWARE! I thought I was getting gitters with filters but all I got was gutters! Not worth the price for just gutters! I would have gone somewhere else. The salesman was misleading. Leaf "FILTER" means a filter system. The salesman told me all about the proprietary surgical material they use on the filter. When I complained he pointed out that he had written only "gutters" on the contract. He did me a "favor" because the filters are a "Cadillac" system costing twice as much. I think he knew I wouldn't have paid for that so sold me only gutters. Of course, I had no idea that Leaf "FILTER" made gutters without the filter.

Unlike their commercials, LeafFilter requires cleaning if you have any trees around the house. Even when the filter is clean, rain water runs directly over the screen and down the side of house. The system has damaged my home from rotten siding, soffit, eve, etc. to the cost of $20,000.

Yes, I had to leave filter stole gutters and leaf filter system in 2020. They sold the back gutter all the way up against the shingles. So now the water is flowing back underneath the shingles and then back into the house which is closing major damage if anybody is going to use them make sure that they do the job right and you have somebody there. They can look at it before they leave, now they've done all kinds of damage to the walls. Now I have to replace all the sheet rock. Now they don't wanna come out and do anything about it. They keep on telling you that they are.

The leaf filter's quality of product explains why warranty is worthless. I've had my filters for 8 months before hail damaged them. They sent service rep and was told warranty doesn't cover and wants to charge me the entire price I purchased them for 8 months ago plus additional $700 to replace! This company has the worst customer service for a subpar product. Warranty is worthless. And I can't get a superior like the owner of company to talk to me. Local Mgr says he's the authority and can't help me. Says pay the price or don't get them replaced. So I'm stuck with some filters that lasted 8 mos! $4800 down the drain!

I like the product and they boast about there install how clean and efficient it will be. Well reality is that the install was a slob and everything in the gutter was tossed all over the ground, old metal bracket tossed all over the place and screws left behind on the ground. Not to mention the stuff out of the gutter he threw onto my windows. Now i have to spend my time cleaning up there mess. Called customer service and left a message and what a shocker, no return call. I will definitely not recommend them to any of my neighbors or friends. Its a shame when even customer service leaves a bad taste along with the installers.

They are prone to clogging with leaf and shingle grit debris. Then when clogged the rain water runs over. We explained it to LeafFilter and they sent someone out to check. Cleaned off the debris. $95. After we had them installed less than two years ago. The shingle grit was part of what was clogging and forcing the rain water to pour over. That would not have been an issue with regular rain gutters. The overflow ended up in our basement. Lots of water pouring over the gutter.

The "sell" and installation might be an enjoyable, but Leaf filter has put the burden on me for any issue moving forward. Not only have they limited their responses, but they have duplicated "automated" emails to me within the same correspondence. Basically told me I'm SOL and buy a roof brush, hop on a ladder (for a 2 story house), or pay a service charge for them to come clean out their product. I would not recommend this product/customer service for the pretty penny we paid. It's unfortunate as I think the product has yet to prove it's worth. Water is overflowing on a portion of my gutter on two separate occasions, same spot, but 6 months apart. Leaf Filter's response was the burden is on me to clean it out. So clean out a patented product that's not doing what it was designed to do? It's clogged and not even brining the gutter's functions into play. By the way, I've only had this for maybe 1 year.

Salesman named Justin strong armed my wife with pushy sales tactics. When my wife told him she'd have to talk with me he had her sign paperwork as he told her it was he did an estimate and provided a quote. I got home and read the paperwork and found out it was an actual contract for installation of $3500. I had my wife called Justin immediately and cancel which he said fine. The very next day while we were at work Justin had the installers come to our home. They left an incredible mess with metal pieces all over our yards available for our dogs to get at. I called with a less than nice message informing him to come remove the crap off our house because we weren't paying for anything under such shady sales tactics. I received a certified letter from a Trina Williams stating since we didn't cancel the order we'd have to pay $3500. I informed this woman we did cancel with the salesman and not only did he say fine. He still sent the installers out the very next day. This is the absolute worst company I've ever dealt with. I've even called their 800 number three times and after speaking with three different people saying it would be dealt with, we're still getting harassed by this company!

Extremely unhappy. One year in and one popped off. Called for service and made an appointment. A guy showed up two days early when no one was home and said everything was fine. I called and told them it was not fine and that I wanted to keep the same appointment. Sat here all day and no one showed up. Customer service personnel argued with me on the phone. For what the product costs the customer service should be much better.

I spent over $5,000 installing leaf filter on my house and garage. They continue to clog, not the gutter, but the leaf filter itself fills with pine needles and of course they do not work.
I have called and they came out to clean them once, now they say I have to pay for the service. I have asked for a refund since the way it was sold to me was I would never have a clog again, and never have to clean them again, which is not true.

Answer: No success story here. They boast a lifetime warranty that is deceiving basically worthless just as the product. I've had mine for 8 months! I got some hail damage and they said they'd replace them for $5107! I purchased them for $4921! I mentioned the warranty and it was like there was no such thing. So I'm out $4900 for some 8 month old damaged filters. Unless I want to pay $5107 to replace them! That is so unacceptable!
