It's an hour to the closest store, which is why I didn't immediately rush out madly to use my $20 birthday gift the company emailed me. I had signed up for their rewards program (at the store) just after my birthday and was pleased that they'd still send this, but I had obviously just been to their store! As luck would have it, the store closed due to Covid two days before I would have been able to go again, and the $20 off expired another two weeks later. OK, fine, everything sort of went upside down during that time. Now that the store is open again, I went yesterday and they would not honor the expired coupon in store. I was told to call customer service, which would give me a new code - I did, but they didn't. Not only could the CS rep not find my account, but she said I'd have to order by phone in order to use the coupon. Today I chatted online with another rep, who again could not find my account or any notes from yesterday's conversation. Conveniently, and only after I told him that it seems Lane Bryant CS reps need better training because the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing, that most other companies are trying to be accommodating due to the Covid issues, that this runaround had cost too much of my time and I'd shop somewhere else, he found yesterday's notes and a case number. What a coincidence! I had worked in customer service a long time ago, and this is just BS (word to the wise: most times, when you ask for a manager, what you'll get is the person in the next cubicle, pretending to be a "manager"). He said they'd honor the coupon if I order a FULL PRICE item. Yeah, right. The gift was for $20 off ANY purchase. At this point, I neither want to order anything nor even check their store when I get there again. While I like the fit of their clothes, I find them a little overpriced, unless you can get them off the clearance racks (where I have, admittedly, gotten some killer bargains, so I'm giving 3 stars for the clearance section).
Firstly I must say this was the most horrible cx service I have ever called in to an establishment and gotten- I purchased an e-gift card and after a while I got lots of emails but not the actual e-card- so I decided to call in - after about wow! An eternity I eventually got a CSR on the line- this person apparently was new to this as she had no idea what I was saying she kept mumbling "um" to every other word she said - poor girl! - I then said I will call back - so I hung up with that person and called again- oh my! Why did I do that? This CSR- " Angelica" she answered like I disturbed her sleep- like she just jumped out of bed and the call disturbed- I know much of them are working from home but this girl was annoyed and angry- she kept saying she could not hear me when she clearly could - so I asked her what do you mean you cannot hear me? She yelled and said"I am speaking English and I said I cannot hear you? I then asked to speak to her supervisor and she just said NO! I was taken aback by this person - raw and nasty! - no cx service whatsoever ever! She was yelling and screaming at me- and yes! I did yell back! I then asked her her name and she yelled it out by spelling it back to me- very sarcastically- I did tell her she was acting like the "b"word as I was so annoyed and just wanted to get an answer to my question- she hung up the phone- I decided to call back again and after 30 mins hold she was on the line again- she is improper with her tone and very rude! Now I see why lane Bryant gets these reviews - these girls need training in how to handle the public! Disgusting behavior- and this Angelica needs to know it is a job and not a slumber Den - where she clearly was disturbed when the call was answered - I regret ordering from lane Bryant- and I am now looking for a refund of my funds as I want no part of them! Horrible! HORRIBLE! Cx service- I am so disgusted! I could not submit without placing a star- they deserve nothing!
Ordered gift for mom on May 3rd. Shipped May 6th. Will not be delivered until May 29. Last time I use them again.
They do not care about their customers AT ALL! THEY LOVE TO CANCEL ITEMS BUT REFUSE TO CANCEL PER CUSTOMER REQUEST! IF YOU WANTED TO BE TREATED LIKE CRAP THAN THEY ARE FOR YOU!
I purchase three panties and get 3 free online, when it was shipped I also received an email stating one of the panties were cancelled, I checked the order once I received it true enough I only received five. I called Lane Bryant because I was charged the full amount and I wanted my free panty no more than right! When I called Lane Bryant spoke to a representative he came back and told me the panty that I ordered was not in that color however I could choose a different color and size so I wanted to same size but a different color but they were going to charge me for the cost of the panty the promotional cost. My point is I shouldn't have been charged Anythink because I was already charged it came through my bank that I was charged the full amount that was not taken off since they canceled that panty. I was not rude to the representative I told her no I was not getting ready to pay for another one I did not want to purchase. She just said okay fine thank you have a great day. Like she did not care. Like really?
Totally my favorite store! Really love the jeans :D Best leggings around too-not to mention the adorable dresses! This is my "for me" store :D
Just received my first order, and I'm really pleased! Very impressed with the quality. Overall good experience.
Was treated poorly at the West Acres store in Fargo! Will not shop there ever again! Embarrassed poor service
Aside from dowdy and matronly, they're just not as well made as they once were. Add to that, their career wear is non-existent now. No real blazers, no real career wear at all. Most things are tops and slacks for a very casual office or work from home. Good luck with finding a decent suit. No real slacks. Then there's the clothing silhouettes. Everything is made for one type of body shape: apple. As a result all of their clothes have wide torsos and small arms and legs. The panties even fit weird because they're made for women with narrow hips. I have to say that while Lane Bryant has decided to become very anti-hourglass or pear shape, apple shape and rectangle shape women deserve waaay better than what Lane Bryant is attempting to foist upon them.
I have been shopping Lane Bryant since the early 1990s and have been through multiple company mergers and changes as a result. I still feel that the time period when they were owned by TheLimited was one of their best.
This current time period where they are owned by the same company that owns Catherine's is an epic fail. Fire ALLL of the designers who are churning out these shapeless basic looks with low quality materials and still expecting people to pay top dollar. Most concerning is the complete contrast to their lingerie. Let me get this straight, according to the designers at LB, I'm supposed to be this straight laced school marm UNTIL I whip out the lacy 1970s in Amsterdam red light district lingerie? The contrast is too crazy. I'm all for sexy but the clothes don't look as though they're made for the same consumer as the lingerie at all. I am just not interested in my clothing coming with it's own entrenched Madonna/whore complex.
Thought I would give them a try WOW was I I in for a surprise worst thing I ever did. I purchased jeans from them since Catherine's had gone down hill I didn't know they were affiliated but boy was I disappointed. Since I never ordered from them I was not sure what size to order so I followed the chart they have for size I even did a live chat which was not at all helpful the person I chatted with was very uninterested in helping me and said I would need to decide for myself what size to buy so I just followed the chart. It took over seven days to get my order and the jeans were so off in size that I needed to send them back when I called to see if they would just exchange them down a size they told me I would have to pay to send them back I told them I didn't think that was fair since the chart they had was so off they told me to hold on while they checked which was over five minutes then got back on and said they couldn't do that and I would have to pay the return shipping. I told her it was not my fault their charts are not accurate and she said she couldn't help that and I could return them to the store for free I explained that I wasn't going to the malls because of COVID and the holidays and she basically said to bad that she couldn't help I would have to pay I have now lost money and in this day and age with COVID and not working who has money to just throw away. I'm very upset and disappointed and will never buy from them again there are far to many companies out there that care about their customers and would accommodate so Lane Bryant never again
They ship to associated stores that are closer to home than an actual Lane Bryant.
I would give them a 0 if I could - had a sale counter buy 1 get 1 free on simple t-shirts. Checked out it was almost $47. Really for $10 t-shirts? Never thought to look at the price (my mistake) because I never thought a t-shirt could be 42. Horrible never going back
