DO NOT BUY FROM THIS VENDOR. After waiting 6 weeks for a $2500 order, I cancelled it by phone. They charged my account even though I NEVER received the merchandise and have been giving me the runaround for 3 weeks now, with no success. Customer service communication just gives BS excuses and thanks me for being "patient". About to go legal with them. Go to LUXE instead.
I was a great customer of LPs for years. That ended today. I ordered 2 matching lamps a while back and went to get a replacement shade when the original broke. They sent what I thought was the wrong lamp but I didn't open it until the foster child that broke it moved home. Then it was too late to return it. Ordered it again. Wrong again. Turns out LPs made the decision to change the lamp to a shorter shade that doesn't even cover the bulbs. No one bothered to tell me now I have to ship it back and no longer have matching lamps. Worse, I could not get a manger on the phone - HORRIBLE decision to save money on the shad, HORRIBLE management customer service, ILLEGAL ADVERTISING as the description still said 14x7 not the 14x4 they went to. Ugh. No longer a LP customer.
I called in to place an order on March 5th for vanity lights. I mentioned to the rep that we had an electrician coming out next week and the items needed to be in prior to Wednesday. She assured me that they could drop ship from the manufacturer and the lights would get there before Wednesday.
The week after they sent an automated email with the fact that the light is actually backordered and it won't get in for another month. I responded outlining that a month is absolutely too late and that id like to cancel and order something else. That email was sent on March 18th. They sent an email 10 days later. YES 10 DAYS LATER to apologize for the back order and that they'll get back to me if they can fulfill the order.
Any business that takes 10 days to respond to emails, especially after not being able to fulfill an order for over a month, deserves to go out of business. There are many businesses you can buy your lamps from who want your business. Lamps plus isn't one of them.
The Possini Euro Milbury was an absolutely terrible light fixture, when I opened it up, I already knew it was gonna be a hard setup. There are no well written instructions, and the light pedant does not sit correctly, it leans. Lamps Plus does not give even a small instruction booklet, it is just a wrinkled piece of paper with faded ink. It took forever to put together and finally when it was put together it wasn't done correctly due to the cheap metal pieces they gave us. I would not recommend this to anyone at all.
It is a very terrible experience to put this together and overall is just frusturating.

We bought the harmony River bronze waterfall. Paid $1,600 with tax. Thinking we would recieve this beautiful brown stone indoor waterfall.
But No. Instead. They sent us the waterfall with all these white scratches all over it. They completely take away from the waterfall. When we called to complain. The company claims that the white lines are called "veins and are natural.
Well if they are so natural. Why do none of the pictures they have online advertising this product. Not have any of these "veins"

It was on "back order" and didn't know it until they called me a week later to tell me. I still said I wanted the light. I received the light a month later. The fixture arrived in broken pieces! AND RUSTED! I couldn't believe they sent me an almost 500 fixture barely wrapped, with zero bubble wrap, rusted on some of the metal pieces, annnnd I waited a month! And I sent the fixture back for a refund and told them I refused to wait 14 days for my money back and they said there is nothing they could do! After I've already spent in addition to that fixture another $500 on other lamps! Needless to say I never complained about the other two although one arrived with some broken pieces as well! But I managed to make due w/that one w/out it looking bad, so I kept it! Don't shop here! Products are awful and so is customer service!
I shopped in store and got a great ceiling fan for my craftsman home. I love it so much I decided to go on line and order a second fan that I had seen in the store, or to look at other models since they only carry about 12 in store. The website makes it difficult to sort through the 1000+ fans they carry. Ie; if they sell the same style fan in different sizes, or a comparable style fan, they are listed randomly mixed in with all the other fans. I tried to 'narrow your search' function but found that some fans that fit my criteria were omitted.
I went on line thinking it would be easier than going to the store. I spent over an hour sorting through fans. Now I have to go to the store anyway.
Spent a $1000 for two outdoor lamp fixtures for our church. Sales took the order, but they did not know (for which I find incredulous) that there was only one of the lamps in stock. This was ordered in March, got the notice the other will be sent end of April. Our remodel project in on hold till then. They offered to take the other back, but by the time it got there and the church received credit it would be nearly three weeks, might as well wait.
IF their logistics were better, sales could have looked and said one is not in stock "do you want to wait or look at something else?" This is an easy fix for most companies, but after reading other reviews, I see that Lamps Plus doesn't know what the fix is.
They got us this time, but there won't be a second. If you choose this company, make sure you ask enough questions about your 'full' order.
I bought a decorative jar from Lamps Plus and it was shipped with absolutely no protective packing. Needless to say, it was received in a hundred pieces. I have bought several items from Lamps Plus, and the packing has always been more than adequate - except for this time. I called customer service and they were very helpful, and I received a replacement without any hassle. I was very pleased with the product and the customer service I received The only complaint is that they should have packed it right the first tie.
I recently ordered a 3 lite pendant light for my kitchen & 2 (2) pack bulbs for my light. My order came in & I am so happy with the light, but one of the four bulbs didn't work. I only needed 3 lights to enjoy my purchase, but bought 4. I called customer service & the rep said that I didn't need to return the faulty light bulb & that she would send me another 2 pack. I reiterated that I only needed one bulb replaced, but she said that she would send me another 2 pack for my inconvenience. I highly recommend this company & I have done business with them for over 5 years.
Ordered two matching fans and one remote (to control both fans). Apparently all were shipped separately. Received both fans with no problem. Didn't get the remote. Kept calling and they kept telling us it was shipped (this was the end of June). We have been on the phone with support no less than 15 times trying to get our remote (yes, our credit card was charged for it on July 3). Have been told a variety of stories about FedEx, etc. even though we have never had a problem with a FedEx delivery in the past (plus both fans arrived FedEx without incident). I don't know what to do. We have the fans already installed and yet have no idea if they work since we don't have the remote (can't connect and sync until we get the remote). We even offered to have the remote delivered to my work address - still no remote! These people are either lying through their teeth and have no intention of ever providing the remote or are complete idiots. I honestly don't know what I should do. Really too bad - if it were not for their TERRIBLE customer service, I would order a lot more from them. Ideally want to keep the fans yet No one will seem to help me resolve this! Extreemely frustrating!
Ordered 2 on the wall reading lamps to go in our bedroom, one for me and one for my wife. Really liked the design and it seemed to be of good quality until the cheap switch in it broke. I called support and asked about a replacement part and they said they did not sell it separately. Instead of replacing it, they recommended buying another one for full price at $150... instead of sending me a $5 switch. I got the switch replaced at a local lamp shop, but they could not get the lamp to dim like it did previously. I gave them 2 stars because I could not find what we were looking for anywhere else and you might be fortunate with their products. I wasn't and their customer support is not supportive.
Stay clear of this company. Customer service is the worse I have ever experienced. They take your order then 2 weeks later they send you an e-mail telling you the order is being shipped in 3 months. You try to cancel the order and they tell you it is in the shipping dept but they will see what they can do. Then you hear nothing - every e-mail is ignored. They still have my money so I can not go somewhere else and I do not have a gift to give- I value customer service. This company only values their pockets - Definitely on the naughty list this Christmas
For my remodel, I have bought a number of fans and sconces from LampsPlus.
When I decided to return a fan and pendant (just because I changed my mind) near the end of the 60 day return period, there was no problem at all. You do need to get an RMA number, and that was easy. I like LampsPlus, and the quality is excellent.
