Ripped us off in baggage had to pay twice. Delayed our flight by 23 hours
Useless staff nothing ever gets resolved
Sold me a non-existing flight then say it was cancelled. Never go refund or any replies. Crooks, scums.
Rob money, won't book you a seat with the airline. Just terrible customer support, horrible service. Pure trash
They cancelled my fight. Did not refund me Customer service was none existent.
It's a scam. Avoid at all costs.
Customer service not remotely interested in helping resolve an honest mistake. Avoid if you possibly can - book direct with airlines who will help.
They are scammers and will hold your booking for 3 days ( then force you to buy it more expensive). Be aware
Put all details in to book a flight. Screen said sorry something went wrong their end. Refreshed and the baggage had gone up by £20. Total scammers.
Please be aware of this scam company in modern days! They deliberately make things tricky so that customer fallen into their trapped.
They book you on flights that are full, then cancel it and offer only credits as refund. Very dishonest. Avoid at all costs
Cannot be bothered going into the details again. A truly scandalous company that is bordering on criminal.
Have been waiting 10 months for my refund.
Phone calls just deliver constant delaying excuses. Avoid!. You will ripped off!
I had a terrible experience with Kiwi.com and from doing more internet research it would seem that the trustpilot overall rating is a lot different from most customers opinions on other sites, it would not surprise me if most of the 5 star reviews are fake. It's possible that if nothing goes wrong with the booking you may get to your destination without issues but if anything does change then you're in for stressful time.
48 hours before we were leaving for our holiday I was informed that the interconnecting flight coming back was landing in a different airport so we wouldn't be able to make it home. As part of the "Kiwi guarantee", they say they will find suitable alternatives if there are any changes outwith of your control. The alternatives they gave involved either a 10.5 hour layover or I could spend an extra 330 euros and reduce it to 5.5 hours. I told them this wasn't a suitable alternative as I was travelling with a 2 year old and was even willing to land at a different final destination to try and reduce the layover time and give them more options but this was when the trouble started...
For most of the holiday I was stressed as they kept saying "give us 24-48 hours", in the end I emailed several times and did 10 international phone calls (spanning 10 days) to try and sort it out. In the end, I had to pay for another flight (last minute) in order to get home at a reasonable hour. It doesn't help that you speak to a different person every time and it is clear that English isn't their first language so communication can be a problem as well. Most of the phone operators were very friendly and empathetic but could never do anything to resolve the issue and would always say that it was sent to the relevant team (who you can't contact directly). I will never use this booking company again and I hope that at least someone sees this and thinks twice or digs a little deeper into the online complaints as I just went off the trustpilot reviews which led to a complete disaster of a holiday.
Still waiting on a refund for the interconnecting flight that I never used, can't say I've got my hopes up for that though!
Forget your refund even if the airline canceled the flight. I didnt search before booking with them but i know now
I bought 3 tickets through Kiwi.com. The only thing they did in timely manner was charge my credit card. I ended up having to change a name on one of the tickets, so went online and submitted all the needed paperwork assuming it would be taken care of. When I received a boarding pass (just 1 not 3) with the old name, I called them. Turns out they had sat on my request and done nothing for 1 month! With 5 days left before my trip they finally started contacting airlines to obtain costs for name change. By then it was too late to change the name on one of the connections, so Kiwi recommended I cancel that connection and re-book it and maybe they'll refund me the money. No, thank you! I was able to call the airline myself and change the name. Then, I paid through a link provided by Kiwi.com to get the name changed for other 2 airlines. You think they ever did anything with it? No! With 24 hours left before the flight I called them to inquire about why a name change is still not showing up on the account. The customer service rep tried to feed me some BS. I flat out asked him - "Have you done anything until now with my request?" The answer was "no". Then he gave me a 48 hour turnaround time to process the request. Mind you - my flight is scheduled to leave in less than 24 hours by then. I was livid. Then he changed the turnaroud time to 4 hours. 2 hours later I get a notice that additional costs are incurred due to name change request going through less than 24 hours before flight departure. I called them and told them that they will eat that cost because I submitted my payment in timely manner and Kiwi.com sat on it until 11th hour. That was received with silence from the Kiwi rep. Luckily they ended up waiving the additional fee caused by their own laziness. Paralell to that I never received boarding passes for the other 2 tickets. Had to call and $#*! them out about that too. More BS from the rep about some systems not working properly. Had to yell at them again to finally get the needed boarding passes. Bottom line- I will never book anything through Kiwi.com ever again. If you do, make sure you call them for anything you need because submitting information online means nothing. They are flat out lazy and deceitful!
This is a terrible company to do business with. Recently they booked me a series of flight with very tight connections and when I raised a concern they said not to worry, as I would be rebooked with another flight by them immediately at no charge if I missed the flight due to delays at customs or by the carrier. Naturally this happened. When I informed them they offered me their re-bookings. ALL of them required an insane amount of additional layovers (well over twelve hours) in terrible conditions and late arrivals with more tight connections. There were much better options available but they refused to book me on those flights without a huge additional fee (well over 800 USD additional). When I complained about layover time they said they would be happy to pay for my meals and hotel room that day. They claimed that the average hotel in Bogota, Columbia cost 24 USD per day and that was all they were prepared to re-imburse me. When I said that was ridiculous they offered a tiny refund, but only in the form of Kiwi.com credit that I could only use with them for another terrible flight. I ended up booking new flights at my own expense and losing my other flights with them. I am partially to blame, as I should never have allowed them to talk me into those short layovers and they should never have offered them (two hours per international transfers is simply not enough time), especially with airport staffing issues common now. I put myself at their mercy and got burned. But I will never do business with them again. I am a frequent traveler and am always on the lookout for good agents online. There are many of them. I would strongly recommend you find one other than Kiwi.com. I hope this helped. I should also say my booking number was *******, just to show I was an actual customer and am not a robot.
This company is a SCAM.
There is no way to contact them if you have a problem. ZERO chance of getting any refund from them.
This company is a SCAM.
If there's a 0 reviews option only. This website need to get reported! They scammed people. Happened to me right now! My plane departing from Phoenix to SFO is delayed 2 hours and that left me with connecting international flight with an hour. There's no way I can make it to my next connecting international flight because I have to pick up my luggage and recheck them. When I got into SFO my connecting flight already take off. I called this kiwi.com back and forth and asked them to give me the earliest flight. Instead they will send you an email with alternative flight and you will have to wait like half day! I didn't accept the alternative they email me and I called them and they send me another alternative and they asking me to pay extra $450! I mean it's your airlines that's why I got a delayed flight! So they should shoulder everything! Now I am stuck in the airport for another 12 hours till my next flight. I asked them if they can pay for my hotel, and taxi. They didn't get back to me after
They said they'll call me in hour. I have been crying in the airport because I couldn't make it to my Moms birthday. I really wanted to surprise her. I took off early
At work and didn't know I will be traveling for two days instead of 1 day only. I beg you not to book on this website. Right now I'm stuck on the airport and tired and sleepy. They will never reimburse you with hotel nor taxi or food. This website are bunch of scammer and fraud! They need to get reported! I paid so much for just one way ticket and come to find out that I will never get the flight that I had booked. Save yourself a headache and money. DO NOT BOOK INTO THIS WEBSITE!
Our whole return flight itinerary was completely messed up because of an itinerary sold to us by Kiwi.
We had a 1hr stopover between Copenhagen and New York, as it was a different airline at our stopover, we were not able to check-in for our entire flights back to New York. We were also not able to check-in online due to it being a flight back to New York with our work visas.
When we arrived at Copenhagen, we were told to leave security, check-in, and return back to the gate - but check-in for our WOW Airlines leg of the trip closed 1hr before the flight - so it was closed when we landed.
We were then told to just go straight to the gate and try to check in there. We were refused check-in, as it had already closed.
Then we had to spend hours on the phone to Kiwi to get a new flight sorted. We eventually flew out at 7pm - spending over 8hrs at the airport! NO apology has been made by Kiwi for booking us a flight journey that was never possible to make.
We've been instructed repeatedly to make a complaint on their website and only been compensated for half our costs of the meals and calls we had to make. They repeatedly deny responsibility and used canned responses.
NOT WORTH THE CHEAP FLIGHT. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.
If you need any further proof of this, just take a gander through their replies section on their twitter account. It's filled with THOUSANDS of awful stories. They really are a scam businesses.
Answer: I have reserved 7 flight through Kiwi with Spirit Airlines. Within 24 h I realised that I made a mistake on the flight date. I made a change and saw that Kiwi wanted to charge for both flights. When I told them I thought I could be reimbursed, they told me to go through the refund process on their website. I did. Just to make sure, I called Spirit and explained the issue. They said that they would fully reimburse Kiwi because the change was make within 24 h and it was an american law. Today, I received the answer for my refund request and Kiwi said they could not get reimbursement from the airline and I would have to pay double. When I tried to reach them to tell them there had to be another way, all of their contact information on their website was 'temporarily unavailable'. I feel like they have stolen from me.
Answer: I am sorry you are going through this, I checked but can't seem to find a record of it either
Answer: Kiwi makes money from air flight cancellations and mistakes they make because They will refund nothing! I even bought add on insurance. That doesn't prevent them from dismissing it will all sorts of unreasonable misdirection. They have no right to operate and be so big... at the expense of poor unfortunate customers who spend their hard earned money to travel. The give the aviation industry a really bad name.
Answer: There is no doubt that Kiwi.com is a scam. If you want to get your money back, then email the US Department of Transportation (douglas dot e dot davis at dot.gov) and CC the CEO of Kiwi.com (oliver dot dlouhy at kiwi.com), the Vice-President of Customer Services (Petra dot Reiter at kiwi.com), and the head of customer servcies for the EU (anna dot cavazzini at europarl.europa.eu) Good luck and do not use them again.
Answer: Because people don't know and they offer cheap flights.
Answer: Kiwi.com are crooks and charlatans. Avoid them. Dispute the charges with your bank if you can, and then spend 30 minutes online piling bad reviews till they are out of business.
Answer: Booking service... and a bad one on the market. Outrageous and not responsable to their customers
Answer: Yes call them threat them that you will sue them and also tell your credit card company that they made a mistake and are not owning to it. Get screenshots of everything including your calls to kiwi. Ask them for a voucher and on other hand contact your credit card to file a dispute.
