Hi there! Its really disappointing that such a big company like KIWI treats its clients like rubbish. I have contacted them so many times in regard of my refund, it states on their policy that it should be done within 6 months. Now it's February and finally after I got in touch with Airline company for a few times, I received an email from kiwi that I will receive may refund, so is over 8 months now. And surprise I have paid 133,7£For two passengers (66,85 per pax) and they are offering me 86,15£ refund for both passengers. What kind of math you they do there? I have bought another tickets, than waited more than 6 months for refund and now they offer me even less than I have paid for. Will never recommend this website to anyone. Worst customer service, I believe it doesn't exist at all, just a robot.
My flight ended up getting cancelled. I requested a refund and saw the alert that a refund can take 3 months to complete. I didn't have another choice though so I went ahead with the request.
It's now been OVER 4 months since requesting the refund and the progress has not moved at all. I've reached out to customer service three times with no response. I reached out to the airline I booked with via Kiwi who told me they sent the refund 3 months ago. I feel like i'm never going to get my money back and i've basically burned almost $2K trusting this site.
TL; DR: customer service is non-existent. No phone number to call, no one answers emails, good luck getting your money back if your flight falls through.
I tried to call support desk and explain that there's a whole new variant going around the world, and Germany is the epicenter of the new wave in Europe, with now tests required for every gathering on top of vaccination status. I explained that I didn't feel safe traveling there anymore and I requested a refund due to this phenomenon outside of my will. They were tone deaf and sent me off with an email address that doesn't work anymore, and no way to contact them. Scam company. I'll be escalating this.
This company is not worth even one star! They take money from you but provide no support or their so called guarantee if your flight gets cancelled/affected. They dont even inform you about the cancellation, yet when you claim your refund (for which they charge additional 20 Eur! Extra as a fee for assisting with the refund) they dare to write you "no show, no refund"! I havent seen a poorer customer support, never! I am still fighting with thousands of other people to get the money back, dont put yourself into the same situation, you would be mistreated as well in case of any problem! I would never recommend or use this company again as a mediator for a flight. They don't provide you with most important information, don't take any responsibility for their mistakes, takes them extreme long to answer a request, in my case they needed almost one year to answer my emails, lost a lot of money because of them. What a robbery. Bad customer service! Choose reputable companies and mediators, not Kiwi!
Booked a flight on Kiwi for the first time because it was the cheapest option… then we both read the reviews
We were very worried when we saw all the negative reviews and nightmare experiences, and resorted to regularly checking all the bookings to ensure nothing had changed (1 connecting for both leaving and return), but we actually had a smooth experience overall. We had no issues with checking in all our flights, even though we had to clear customs and self-check in for our connecting flights. It also helped that we had 3+ hours of transit time both ways, so we had time to spare. Sounds like we got lucky.
Overall, I would say this is fine to use, BUT, and this is a massive BUT, best to ensure your travel plans are fully firmed up and the carriers you are flying in are not notorious for changing flights last minute. That said, we will likely not use kiwi again, as the few extra dollars of savings were not worth the hassle and worry.
Self transfer, misinformation they gave 2 different info on the same ticket which mislead info for transit visa
Embassy of india was confused due to the part that indicates that transit visa is required while the other part says that it might not be required, ended up losing my money because of the misinformation given on the e-ticket making a complaint to get my money back and no one is helping
Don't ever book with Kiwi. They don't check simple info regarding connections. Twice in the last 3 days they have booked me connecting flights with Ryanair with a tight window to connect and didn't even mention that I needed to go out through passport control and through security again. An absolutely disgraceful booking company
Had a couple of emails saying they are still working on obtaining refunds from the airline who cancelled flights on 5 December 2020 - now I see people are waiting a lot longer, over a year, and still have yet to receive their refunds from Kiwi. I am going to contact the airline directly to find out if it's has been paid and also ask my credit card company to refund and see how I get on. I wouldn't use Kiwi again and will check reviews of other agencies like them in future or book directly with the airlines. My trust in this company is zero and would advise others not to use.
Kiwi.com is a total scam. My flights were cancelled and refused to give me any refund back, despite multiple rounds of requests and discussions with them! Would never use them again and advise everyone else against getting anywhere near close them.
Companies like Kiwi.com should go out of business immediately and face legal repercussions.
Cons:
1) No ticket number issued despite ticket being "confirmed". We tried checking in for our flight and only to be told by the airline that the ticket couldn't be located.
2) Rude and inefficient customer service outsourced to India. Customer rep had no clue of how to help and what to do. She was not only unhelpful but also condescending while not being able to solve the problem (problem 1).
3) They try to get you to pay more add ons for "guarantee" services, all of which are BS. They can hardly send me an accurate confirmation/reservation no., so I don't know what else they can "guarantee"
I used Kiwi last September for my first time. The company allows for 4 hour layovers. I had one ticket getting me to one end of Paris and an international flight out 4 hours later on the other end. I took a bus then paid for an Uber so I would be on-time. Nope. I missed my flight. Kiwi has been impossible to deal with, offering zero compensation. I had to spend an extra night in Europe and buy a whole new ticket home. I would NEVER use this service again. You are best to pay a little more and buy directly from the airline. Way better customer service. This site should be out of business.
Avoid booking through kiwi.com for your own good. I paid extra coverage for a full refund, my flights got cancelled due to the virus and I still haven't gotten my refund back, yet its been 2 months. No way to get a hold of them either, because when you try calling, they only prioritize people who fly within the next 3 days. I suggest paying a little more for a decent company to avoid the headache.
Kiwi.com's Instagram and Facebook are full of complaints like mine. I've been waiting on the phone with their customer service department for over 2 hours while at the airport because they refuse to honor the travel insurance I purchased and will keep my money without providing me with travel. I will have no other alternative than to ask the other dissatisfied customers that I see so many of to come together and sue Kiwi.com for the money we've lost and suffering they cause by not providing customer care or the travel accommodation we all paid to receive. I am disgusted with this agency.

Mind and the stress of trying to get to connecting flight. The check in was easy it was the two different airlines they booked me with. Terminals miles away. I hour to go back through security, Sky train, escalators, more walking. Got there with 3 minutes before door closed! Never had that happen.
FRAUD! I booked a ticket to flight in June worth £2000, they cancelled 2 weeks after booking and they won't refund the ticket, my advice do not book to this site, no customer service you can speak to.
This website is a scam and cheaters! Please never book your flights with Kiwi.com. They provide incorrect flight information on their website and later after purchase, change it just a day or two before the flight. So nothing can be done about it and no refund is processed. I read reviews after purchasing a ticket and I'm surprised many people faced the same issue. I wished I saw this before my booking. The worst ever flight booking website. Customer care is also trained to give same response. Unbelievable, not sure how they are surviving by scamming people!
I had booked my flight for international travel for $700. My flight got cancelled and I was unable to reach out to a person in their customer support. A robot keep repeating that they are assisting other customers. Looking at the feedback I don't think they assisted anyone. My flights got cancelled because of Corona virus pandemic yet they are not refunding my money. I was cheated by them. My suggestion is n]ever to approach these cheaters for your booking. I am sure they made millions because of this situation and soon they will change name and enter into another business and find way to cheat public.
In United States the rule if if yiu buy air line tickets, you can cancel them with in 24 hrs of buying them with a full refund. But kiwi.com does not honor that. They don't even mention that clearly. Its a big SCAM. They are very shady company. Never ever book from them. Just google and see their reviews online. They are already investigated by the airline authority of USA.
It's unfortunate but, i too, fell for the appealing deals kiwi had to offer. They cancelled one of my flights and said they would like to talk with airlines on the phone. The representative at Allegiant airlines told her you guys are a scam! She found the file in the system but it was cancelled through kiwi themselves.The lady on the phone said you're breaking up and the phone call hung up. She starts laughing because she was like "I told you they're a scam. We get lots of customers here with the same issue." However, moments later the kiwi representative called my phone again and she said I'm expecting partial refund which is partial. "Expecting." Either way, im disputing my charge. Answer: I have reserved 7 flight through Kiwi with Spirit Airlines. Within 24 h I realised that I made a mistake on the flight date. I made a change and saw that Kiwi wanted to charge for both flights. When I told them I thought I could be reimbursed, they told me to go through the refund process on their website. I did. Just to make sure, I called Spirit and explained the issue. They said that they would fully reimburse Kiwi because the change was make within 24 h and it was an american law. Today, I received the answer for my refund request and Kiwi said they could not get reimbursement from the airline and I would have to pay double. When I tried to reach them to tell them there had to be another way, all of their contact information on their website was 'temporarily unavailable'. I feel like they have stolen from me.

That doesn't prevent them from dismissing it will all sorts of unreasonable misdirection.
