They charge you for free services. Kiwi.com said I had to pay for any checked baggage, so I paid for 1 checked baggage and was planning to take my second one(smaller) on the plain with me. When I was doing the check-in, the person at the airline desk told me that my ticket fare included 2 checked baggages for free, that all their economy fare was like that, no extra charge for any checked baggage. So I checked my smallest one too, free of charge of course. After that I've contacted kiwi.com but they don't reply my inquiry, I've paid about 255€ to kiwi.com for one checked baggage, when there was no need to, this is how they make money, robbing you like that.
Our first flight of the total 10 flights are cancelled. The only option they provided is the most expensive one of the day even though I saw cheaper flights of the same time. However, we cannot event book our first flight ourselves because if we miss the first flight booked by Kiwi, the whole trip (all the other 9 flights) will be cancelled by kiwi. Isn't this stupid?! I will never use Kiwi. Also, after we use Kiwi to book the rescheduled flight, it needs a few hours to confirm with the carrier... our flight is about to depart tomorrow morning. How many hours do we have to wait until you tell me it is not working... never never use kiwi
I will never use Kiwi again.
I had 2 connected flights and almost missed both because Boarding pass didn't load.
It kept failing download.
When I tried to get a hold of someone it was impossible and still haven't heard back from anyone.
I will never use this company again.
I mistakenly booked off of Kayak which took me through Kiwi, typically I don't need to adjust flights but of course this was the one time. They don't offer cancellations of any flights, just a $10 credit towards your new flight. The airlines themselves would let me rebook for a fee so they're obviously scamming people. Flights were no cheaper than going directly through the airlines. There's zero added benefit to using Kiwi. When I spoke with a representative they offered zero help.
I wish this company will be bankrupt
Such kind of business model is totally a trap and stupid
The airline reschedule my flight and i cannot either contact the airline for help, and if i accept the alternative option to take another flight, i need to pay additional half of my original cost without gettting back the refund, and if i cancel the order, I can only get back 10 euros. Excuse me? I paid almost 700 euro and because you reschedule my flight, I end up with getting back 10 euros? Both the airline and the agency do nothing to me for my loss except cause me the trouble.
I am the only one pay all the loss
Everything that could go wrong did go wrong, and the company was not to be contacted. Also got 4 different booking references for 3 consecutive stops to get the final destination (which we didn't do). When we booked the trip, it was stated that we received checked baggage + hand luggage for everyone (6), when the payment was completed, there was no checked baggage and only 3kg max for hand luggage. For several weeks we tried to contact them about checking in luggage, but were unable to do so, and in the end they stopped answering both emails and phone calls. We were delayed on the first flight, which prevented us from reaching the next flight and thus we were stranded, while the company would not do anything since we did not pay even more when we booked for a guarantee. There was therefore no possibility of refunding the trip either. Is not recommended. NEVER TRAVEL WITH KIWI, they will scam you for money
Took our money for flight to riga.within 24 hours cancelled twice.wanted 216 pound for the other 16 options tried to cancel as we were within time frames as flights in ten months.wont give codes wizz air need to cancel as ita confidential despite admitting they use fake details not my own ha.liars illegal and fraud
DO NOT BOOK AS THEY ARW THIEVES
Not the first bad experience with kiwi.com but definitely the worst. Couldnt check me in due to some glitch and was told to check in at the airport before the flight. After arriving I was told no reservation made in my name and I have to pay to secure last few seats and try to get the refund. When finally got to speak to customer service to make a complaint they emailed me the name and email that was made to do the booking and they claimed it I had it all along. AVOID!
I recently paid around £8.50 to 'Lock the price'.
By the time I had put my holiday request into my line manager and HR, the 'lock the price' had been released resulting in the flight fare going up significantly in the time frame.
Disappointing service.
They changed my date forcing me to select a new date charged me again! 2 days later they told me to verify my flyer and told me allegiant wouldn't change his name I called them they changed it for free hours later they told me to pay another 300 to fix the name with Frontier. Frontier had a bogus email address and phone number. I tried to fix it by canceling and only offered me 10 dollars for refund. After I paid for the name change they put my name again trying to get more money!
DO NOT BOOK HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!' When you cancel a ticket with a regular airline you will be refunded straight to ur card or credit. Through kiwi I canceled $1000.00 tickets and was refunded ten dollars. I then called customer cervices to rectify this issue and they assured me that I was refunded a whopping ten dollars and they would keep the rest of the money!
I am writing this review to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the services provided by Kiwi.com. I recently booked a trip through this agency, and it was a terrible experience that almost caused me to miss my flights on several occasions.
The agency misled me about hidden costs, which ended up costing me a lot more than I originally budgeted for. I found out at the last minute, which led to unnecessary stress and frustration.
Furthermore, they failed to deliver some of the services that I had paid for, which added to my overall disappointment. The travel agency's lack of communication and inattention to detail made things even worse than they should have been.
I barely made my flights on time, and only because I had to spend extra money to change my itinerary and make alternate arrangements. I'm extremely disappointed about the entire experience and would advise others to avoid Kiwi.com at all costs.
In summary, my experience with Kiwi.com was a complete disaster. They provided misleading information, hidden costs, and poor customer service, which led to a stressful and expensive trip. I strongly advise anyone considering booking travel through Kiwi.com to look elsewhere.
Booked. My second flight, United denied my ticket. They said it did not exist. Had to purchase a flight on the spot to get to my location. After calling multiple times was called a liar and that I in fact missed my flight and so I wasn't denied I was just late. I showed proof on the ticket I had to buy and again was told I was lying and missed my flight as they could confirm I did have a flight through the airline. Asked for a supervisor multiple times and she refused saying they were not working. Save your money. They are thiefs and do not care to communicate with customers. Also if you purchase a ticket they will tell you you're lying and didn't make it to the flight even though it's a connecting flight they set up. Good luck do not go through them they will steal your money!
I had a trip from Melbourne to Tokyo, to Helsinki, to Switzerland, to Greece booked through Kiwi.com.
Melbourne -> Tokyo -> Helsinki got cancelled, and they refuse to provide a partial refund. So they probably just pocketed my money after the airline issued the refund.
Kiwi.com's deplorable pricing tactics and unethical policies are an outright scam. They lure you in with attractive prices, only to extort double the cost once you're locked in. Their lack of transparency, exorbitant fees, and complete disregard for customer satisfaction make them a company to avoid at all costs. Don't fall victim to Kiwi.com's deception – seek out trustworthy alternatives that value their customers.
It all looks wonderful! And then when you want to ask a question you cannot find customer service anywhere on their website. So you join their newsletter in the hopes of finding a person, Mistake No 1.
It tells you it cannot find your booking so you make Mistake No 2. You BELEIVE that they are the the best as they advertise and you lock into the price - payment and all
Mistake No 3. You search their website to find a person to confirm or make a change - they simply do not have a customer service page. It just does not exist! I have screenshots of the pages to prove it.
Buyer beware - the price advertised is NOT the price you are going to pay - there are many additional charges that they do not tell you about:
1) Additional charge for your CARRY ON
2) Additional charge for your regular seat - ON EACH and every airplane - coming and going
So, in conclusion - this is a scam! A very real and devious scam!
It is horrid that the airlines even allow them to operate
Not supportive at all for subsequent customer service even for some minor changes. Provide fake information.
I don't why consumers have to put up with these kind of scams and just plain robbery. If I buy a ticket to go somewhere it is expected that I get the service, if there are cancellation, changes or delays, you can not wash your hand, keep peoples' money and say you do have the "kiwi guarantee" other way of stealing money. I was traveling because of a death in my family, my flight got delay I lost my connecting flight and you fix it by charging me $300.00! That is just wrong. 0 starts! They do not deserve 1.
Full Robbery; rules are not clear pulling leg to make you pay another ticket to fix date entry error
We were dropped off the plane because Kiwi cancelled our tickets! For no reason! And does not return the money to us!
Answer: I have reserved 7 flight through Kiwi with Spirit Airlines. Within 24 h I realised that I made a mistake on the flight date. I made a change and saw that Kiwi wanted to charge for both flights. When I told them I thought I could be reimbursed, they told me to go through the refund process on their website. I did. Just to make sure, I called Spirit and explained the issue. They said that they would fully reimburse Kiwi because the change was make within 24 h and it was an american law. Today, I received the answer for my refund request and Kiwi said they could not get reimbursement from the airline and I would have to pay double. When I tried to reach them to tell them there had to be another way, all of their contact information on their website was 'temporarily unavailable'. I feel like they have stolen from me.
Answer: I am sorry you are going through this, I checked but can't seem to find a record of it either
Answer: Kiwi makes money from air flight cancellations and mistakes they make because They will refund nothing! I even bought add on insurance. That doesn't prevent them from dismissing it will all sorts of unreasonable misdirection. They have no right to operate and be so big... at the expense of poor unfortunate customers who spend their hard earned money to travel. The give the aviation industry a really bad name.
Answer: There is no doubt that Kiwi.com is a scam. If you want to get your money back, then email the US Department of Transportation (douglas dot e dot davis at dot.gov) and CC the CEO of Kiwi.com (oliver dot dlouhy at kiwi.com), the Vice-President of Customer Services (Petra dot Reiter at kiwi.com), and the head of customer servcies for the EU (anna dot cavazzini at europarl.europa.eu) Good luck and do not use them again.
Answer: Because people don't know and they offer cheap flights.
Answer: Kiwi.com are crooks and charlatans. Avoid them. Dispute the charges with your bank if you can, and then spend 30 minutes online piling bad reviews till they are out of business.
Answer: Booking service... and a bad one on the market. Outrageous and not responsable to their customers
Answer: Yes call them threat them that you will sue them and also tell your credit card company that they made a mistake and are not owning to it. Get screenshots of everything including your calls to kiwi. Ask them for a voucher and on other hand contact your credit card to file a dispute.
