I have been using this website for the past few years. The site itself is well designed, however my complaint stems from their lack of understanding. Amidst this coronavirus out break, unlike other companies that have adjusted their booking policy, they are refusing to allow me to change my flight. Instead I must loose the current flight, and book another at full price.
It seems they are more concerned with making money than public safety. I would understand a transfer fee, but outright refusal when a pandemic is out there makes no sense.
Never ever use Kiwi.com for any travel booking. Their customer support is horrible with agents eating food while on phone and talking profanity. They have such bad refund and rebook policies that if you don't read the fine print you will end up losing a lot of money which in our case we did.
Flight was cancelled and Kiwi didn't even bother notifying us. The airline has announced a refund setup that I can't even access because Kiwi hides away your booking information to force you through their garbage support. I've wasted hours on hold with them - their system has cut out or hung up on me twice. We're on hour 2 of hold time for now.
They want me to pay 20 dollars per ticket to "maybe get a refund in 6 months". That's insane. You'd do well to never even consider looking at Kiwi.com.
After choosing the cheapest flights, the site prompts you to upgrade various options such as baggage, flexible tickets and insurance. After avoiding all these I was hit with a 'price adjustment' during the booking process just before entering my card details.
Horrible airlines Horrible travel agent. I couldn't upgrade to business class. Air asia charged me $450 extra for bags. Terrible service. Buy your tickets directly with a good preferred airline. Don't buy from kiwi or air asia. They will rip you off.
I've booked a flight from bali to thailand, They sent me an conformation email with "FAKE" reservation number... I entered that number on airline's website and it doesn't even exist!
This is a complete scam... Don't know why it still appear in skyscanner...
Kiwi.com - the worst online flight search engine. Thieves, I paid £458.20 for 1 piece of 20 kg luggage, return flight on the London - Larnaca (Cyprus) route. Never book flights with them, they will rob you!
I have had my flight canceled by Virgin Atlantic, having had it booked with Kiwi.com.
I have even paid their extra fee for assistance and no response was ever given.
Kiwi is impossible to contact as they do not have any numbers available.
Terrible agency!
Avoid them!
They didn't put any disclaimer, so I thought I would update our flight with different connector city - clicked on "Change" and I got better connection, but my original tickets were cancelled and even less than 24 hours, I been told - money won't be returned.
Then on the second connection I paid for VIP bundle and never got that service and communicated more than 1 month, before flight - it was only texting back and forward - no result.
Lost money and time (approx. 10 hours in total)- will never use that company and do not recommend them to anyone.
No customer service or compromise offered after not being allowed to check in at the airline because kiwi.com failed to show that I required more than 1 document to enter 3 different countries. Thank you for taking all my money and refusing a refund including the flights that are still valid but you canceled them all!
Avoid this company complete robbers booked through them for my daughter and her friend received no confirmation and had to book again they then charged me twice a flight that should have been cheap cost me 320 gbp and not interested when I contacted them
One word: BEWARE. They will put cheap itineraries together but have no customer service, will not help if there are schedule changes or even call you back as promised. Do yourself a favor and use a reputable travel site or book direct with the airlines (using their fares), but don't use them.
I'd give a 0 if I could. Do. Not. Use. This. Website. Expedia is better, and direct purchases with airlines the best. Kiwi.com doesn't even provide the cheapest options yet have the strictest rules and unbelievable ctrl c + ctrl v 'customer service' options. I booked a $440 flight and then realized ONE MINUTE later that I needed to change my dates. The chat repeatedly said there's nothing that can be done because I bought the savers ticket, which basically means there's no mercy for anything. They could've told me that all airlines have to give full refund if requested directly within 24 hours. But during the TWO WEEKS of conversations I had with the chat, starting the minute after my booking, the only thing I was told was there was nothing to do.
Very disappointed with their service.
Our flight got cancelled and still waiting to see if they will refund the money. They said that it would take max 30 days to decide but they are taking more than this. Never again
Their customer service is an absolute disgrace - a shambles of dishonesty and outright deceit! I can assure you, I will NEVER do booking with them again! It seems they're more interested in hoodwinking customers and pocketing your hard-earned money than in delivering a fair, honest service! Beware - transact with them at your own peril! They've shown their true colors to me, and I won't stand for it!
I mistakenly clicked the refund button and the system informed me that this action is irreversible; the refund has been processed and no further reimbursement can be claimed. This experience has been incredibly frustrating, ranking among the most challenging I've faced. In an effort to prevent fellow Koreans from encountering similar issues, I plan to pen a comprehensive article shedding light on the situation.
Paid $650 for flights with confirmed booking. A few weeks before the trip and the "airline" removed the flight. Only alternatives they offer are 2 days later with minimum additional $500 upsell. There are flights online right now for same day as booking that match original.
Cancellation policy is 3 months with no guarantee of money back (likely "voucher" option).
Definitely save yourself the time and effort. I would pay a premium to book through another option.
Amid the pandemic, Kiwi has put in minimal effort to assist customers obtain refunds. They offer a few options, but none guarantee you'll be receiving anything significant back. They won't supply the credentials I need to contact the airlines directly to try to solve it myself. They're making it as difficult as they can to get even a decent refund. It has been frustrating contacting them about this issue. They don't appear to care that you may lose a large sum of money if you want to cancel. It would probably have been a better idea to book with the airlines directly, or to have booked with another travel company. I don't suspect Kiwi will receive many flattering reviews. It is in anyone's best interest to look elsewhere when booking flights. When times get tough, Kiwi doesn't truly care about their customers.
kiwi.com, I thought will be with European moral and ethic, but found out (1) they were selling tickets of the airlines which do not have permission to fly during lock down, (2) later the airlines cancel the flights, and (3) kiwi.com do not refund in proper way. For me it is now 5 months, still yet did not receive the refund. Also I will probably loose around 200-300 euro, where everything was kiwi's scam. Technically my life became problematic with lose of money. "Never Ever Buy or Suggest Anyone to Buy Tickets from KiWI.com"
Kiwi is a complete scam of an enterprise do not use them at all costs and please book directly with an airline. I booked flights to the dubai for around 1450 aed for 2 people which was a pretty good deal, however I received an email the next morning stating the flights had gone up by 1850 aed, basically doubling it to the same price found on my carriers website. Their customer service is also us... Not recommend!
Kiwi.com charges exorbitant fees and has terrible customer service. AVOID this scammer. Their "margins" and "service fees" are near of 50% of the flight cost, which could have been purchased directly.
Answer: I have reserved 7 flight through Kiwi with Spirit Airlines. Within 24 h I realised that I made a mistake on the flight date. I made a change and saw that Kiwi wanted to charge for both flights. When I told them I thought I could be reimbursed, they told me to go through the refund process on their website. I did. Just to make sure, I called Spirit and explained the issue. They said that they would fully reimburse Kiwi because the change was make within 24 h and it was an american law. Today, I received the answer for my refund request and Kiwi said they could not get reimbursement from the airline and I would have to pay double. When I tried to reach them to tell them there had to be another way, all of their contact information on their website was 'temporarily unavailable'. I feel like they have stolen from me.
Answer: I am sorry you are going through this, I checked but can't seem to find a record of it either
Answer: Kiwi makes money from air flight cancellations and mistakes they make because They will refund nothing! I even bought add on insurance. That doesn't prevent them from dismissing it will all sorts of unreasonable misdirection. They have no right to operate and be so big... at the expense of poor unfortunate customers who spend their hard earned money to travel. The give the aviation industry a really bad name.
Answer: There is no doubt that Kiwi.com is a scam. If you want to get your money back, then email the US Department of Transportation (douglas dot e dot davis at dot.gov) and CC the CEO of Kiwi.com (oliver dot dlouhy at kiwi.com), the Vice-President of Customer Services (Petra dot Reiter at kiwi.com), and the head of customer servcies for the EU (anna dot cavazzini at europarl.europa.eu) Good luck and do not use them again.
Answer: Because people don't know and they offer cheap flights.
Answer: Kiwi.com are crooks and charlatans. Avoid them. Dispute the charges with your bank if you can, and then spend 30 minutes online piling bad reviews till they are out of business.
Answer: Booking service... and a bad one on the market. Outrageous and not responsable to their customers
Answer: Yes call them threat them that you will sue them and also tell your credit card company that they made a mistake and are not owning to it. Get screenshots of everything including your calls to kiwi. Ask them for a voucher and on other hand contact your credit card to file a dispute.
