We purchased a Kincaid Studio Select sectional that was delivered to us in the spring of 2023. Within a couple months the upholstery started to degrade; seams were ripping, the fabric was fraying and the sofa looked terrible. We were very concerned, since we selected fabric in the most durable category. We brought the worst of the cushions back to the store where we purchased it and they were sent back to Kincaid and repaired, however the store subsequently closed their business. Since that time, we have continued to see the same issues on the rest of the upholstery. This is not the first sofa we have bought, but it's the first one we decided to invest significantly more money in so that we could benefit from quality craftsmanship that would stand the test of time. However, what we have experienced are far more issues than anything we've seen from sofas costing half the price purchased at a big box store. It seems that this issue is not just a mistake in craftsmanship here or there, but rather a systemic lack of quality throughout the entire job that is just revealing itself more and more as time passes. We contacted Kincaid and sent back a sample cushion cover for them to analyze. They came back and said that the warranty is not valid due to dirt and pet dander on the fabric. We don't let our dog on the couch, but of course our kids get it on their clothes etc and so some will transfer over. Clearly they are just looking for excuses to not stand behind their product, since what we experienced happened so quickly after we purchased the sofa. To pay this much for a sofa just to have problems from the start has left a very bad impression. I would never buy another piece of Kincaid furniture after this experience.
I'm very unhappy with this bedroom set. Mainly because the wood is so soft that it dents and nicks when you look at it! Additionally the drawers are not very deep. Meaning from bottom to top. Not back to front.
I has purchased the protection plan but they would not over the dents because I did not call right away. I waited a month. Also one of the nightstands that has a slide out shelf is dragging on one side.
For the amount of money we spent on this set I expected 5 star quality.
The bedroom set we bought 35 years ago is superior compared to Kincaid.
I will never buy this brand again. Which this was supposed to be our last set.
Purchased 5 years ago for home lived in only 6 months year. Have about 50 emails regarding welting unraveling and worn spots starting weeks after delivery. I live by myself and do not have pets; yet Kincaid blame both for what is just poor quality. I am medium stature but cushions wrinkle and worse cannot rotate. Each cushion fits only certain spot!
Decorator told me when I got sofa it would not last 5 years!
Purchased a Kincaid sectional a few years ago. Soon after purchase, I noticed a divot in the 1/4 round part of the sectional. The frame appears to be missing springs in the front or perhaps just be a defective design. As a result of the concave frame, the cushion has ripples and has become concave as well. I showed it to my interior designer and another furniture expert and they said it was defective. I filed a claim with Hickory Park furniture, the store from where I purchased it, and Kincaid, but they claimed that there is nothing wrong with it. On a minor note, I recently discovered the stitching coming undone on one of the cushions! I love the other parts of the sectional but am so disappointed with the overall look and feel of the quarter round.
