Absolutely awful. After placing an order online with clear instructions to contact me if my order, placed on a Monday morning, wasn't going to be shipped that day, they waited until Wednesday afternoon to inform me that the items I ordered were not in stock and would not ship for 10-14 days. This was time sensitive and I needed to know for my clients sake. Upon voicing my frustrations with customer service, and explaining that I would now have to order from somewhere else and use 2nd day air which cost me $170.00, they could have cared less. They offered no type of compensation through three ranks of command. Hideous way to run a business. If I drop the ball with my customers, I make it up to them and own my mistake.
I then contacted Websteraunt who was able to get my order out, 2nd day air after placing my order at 1:45 on Wednesday afternoon.
KaTom SUCKS
Do not use this company! My 3000 dollar Prep table had concealed damage below one of the doors which I did not detect when first arrived (until I tried to open the door a couple of days later) and they declined my claim and left me with mangled metal on a brand new unit even though I reported within the 5 days allowed for concealed damage. I'm 51 years old and I've been in business for 27 years and the so called customer service reresentative had the audasity to accuse me of altering the receipt after driver had left when I insisted she does something about the damage!
Very courtious when you are giving them your money, very rude and ignorant when problems arise. Do not trust them, don't let them do to you what they did to me! Very dishonest people...
My True fridge was giving me a bit of trouble. JamieLeigh assured me that True was a reputable company and they would back the unit. She made me less worried. They came out on Tuesday and the unit was fixed. Simple and quick. Thank you JamieLeigh for making me feel less tension. Thank you True for being a stand up company as well.
Placed an order with a 4-8 day timeframe, KaTom said it takes 3 weeks before shipping the order. Yes, you read that right 3 weeks. The rep on the phone says that's standard procedure.

I ordered a product which was never shipped. After 10 days I was only told it was on an backorder, thats only after calling and emailing. Than Katom extended the backorder another 30 days. This company is not reliable and very much illegitimate. They list many products on their website that they do not physically carry and therefore you are at the whim of their customer service. If you call too often they transfer you to a voicemail system and stop answering with a human. I was forced to dispute the charge. Not a good company to deal with. Stay away and fine the product at a honest and legitimate company. Such a sham.
Charged my card for an item they didn't have, tied up my card and lost my commercial account with my customer. I'd rate them a zero out of ten if it'd let me. Took them 2 weeks and me to call them for them to tell me they canceled my order even! Not a happy customer!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! If I could give this company less than 1 star I would. The customer service is absolutely atrocious, they caused a problem with my order that would result in me having to pay unnecessary fees that they refused to waive. I cancelled the order and will absolutely never be a customer of theirs in the future.
Katom restaruant supply shipped me a warped piece of equipment (slaw cutter $671.00) which they didn't want to replace... so they fixed the problem and shipped it back to me and then double billed me on my credit card.
Order dryfood dispencer, when i received the product it was a fudge warmer. I called company they told me it will be 24-48 hours before someone will contact you. In the mean time i need this product. Never again
We ordered a commercial can opener. Almost 2 weeks later we heard nothing. We had to reach out to them. They said it would ship in a week. It didnt. Again no communication. We had to reach out again and was told another 2 weeks. They are selling product they dont have! Very poor customer service and communication.
1) Place an order for 24 items
2) get delivered 6 items
3) Call sales rep; the other 18 are out of stock and on backorder
4) sales rep finds replacement items and offers to swap out
5) wait for days, no words, no items, nothing
6) call the sales rep;. On KaTom's website they accept Amazon Pay (great) but KaTom can't modify their order with this Payment Type (a warning would have been nice)
7) sales rep; cancels the order and creates a new order for replacement items plus Shipping Cost again
8) manager refuses to waive the shipping cost...
I am a negative net promotor... Their website doesn't know their inventory stock, their payment process type is compatible with their business process, and they expect the customer to pay for their mistake costing us Time and Money.
Really bad first experience. Never again...
I've order 3 times through them only because I was in no hurry for my items. But they apparently never have any item in with them. You have to wait atleast 2 weeks for them to receive the item and another week for them to deliver. If you can wait about a month for your item then go for it but other than that I wouldn't recommend it.
I ordered a single piece in late September. Still hadn't received it by January 1. When I tried to cancel the order in early January the only response I got (several days later) was that it had "already" shipped. When I called to reiterate that I had tried to cancel the order, the first customer service agent replied that she HAD SEEN that I had tried to cancel the order and even apologized for the mishap. Later reps denied there was any attempt to cancel the order prior to Jan. 10. What a SWINDLE! I don't want to give them even 1 star.
Ordered a product they said was in stock, when I checked on it in two weeks they said it was backordered for two months. I was charged immediately. I cancelled the order but they won't refund the money for a product I didn't receive until they get the money back from the manufacturer. I didn't order the product from the manufacturer but from KaTom. This is not how e-commerce works.
With all the bad reviews I am very happy with my purchase. I purchased a Univex mixer for around 9k for a Boy Scout camp. The item shipped faster than expected which is great. Item arrived today in great shape.
The customer service here is horrible and stressful. Don't waste your time trying to be cheap because the products are cheaply made as well. Glasses so thin they'll break after the second use.
The company has such poor customer service I was scheduled for a delivery took the day off did not get the delivery called was told I would get a call back never did got a message saying it would be delivered the next day pick the next day off still no delivery two days off with no pay and when I complained they told me it's not their responsibility
My name is Juan Hernandez, I bought a refrigerator with 3 sliding doors. My order number is: *******, I made the purchase on: 01/06/2021. On June 4, they called me from the Delivery company, who would deliver it to me on Tuesday, June 8. I was waiting all day and they never brought it, it happened on Wednesday and today on Thursday and I have no news of my product. I have sent emails to the seller Julio Lara, and he does not answer my emails, I call him and he does not answer me, I leave him a message and he does not answer. As it is possible that after the sale they refuse to answer the phone or the messages. I bought him the refrigerator, I bought him a walking cooler, and I had in mind to buy more equipment, but with this experience I will not do it again and I will not even recommend them on my social networks and the truth is I will speak very badly of your company. Sorry I'm very angry and will also put my review on google and BBB.
I ordered 3 sets of wine glasses - which I never received. KaTom wrote & said shipment was damaged & returned to them. Next they said it was delivered & signed for. Then they said shipment was returned to them because it was damaged in transit. I asked to cancel order & get my money back. They said that couldn't be done until they checked with FedEx about their claim for damage. I told them they have shipment which I never received - but they said that there would be further delay so they could verify. I spoke with Sarah who said she would confirm that they had the returned damaged goods & would process refund. I never got any email from Sarah or KaTom.
Particularly frustrating because it is next to impossible to get through to them.
This is a dishonest company. Wholly unreliable. Someone should contact the owner, Patricia Bible, to complain - but she is probably the mastermind of this horrible business practice. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS - OR IT WILL COST YOU.
I placed a order for a vacuum sealer 7/5/2020. I didn't receive a confirmation & my credit card wasn't charged. I was charged in October for the product that was allegedly delivered to my residence in October. I called KaTom & explained to them first I didn't receive your product secondly. I never received a confirmation that the product was on back order nothing. I purchased the item elsewhere. The customer service rep was very rude & condesending stating "we emailed you a in late September that the product has shipped" wait I minute o ordered this on July 5th & the first correspondence I receive from you is 4 months later. Horrible company horrible customer service. I'm out of $200 for a product that I've never received no lack of communication customer is never right with KaTom. Stay away
I would advise any business owner to avoid ordering anything from this site. The item that was shipped to me was nothing like the picture that was posted on their site. When I called to request a refund and complained that the item was not what was shown own their site, they stated that the picture was provided by the manufacturer and if there is a difference in the product, it's not their fault. I advised them that it's their website and that THEY have the RESPONSIBILITY to provide accurate pictures of all their products. The fault should not lie on the customer. When I asked to return the item, they wanted me to pay for shipping to return it to them and also charge me a restocking fee. I told the representative that I won't be shopping from this site again and I advise all business to stay away. You may pay less for the product on this site but you lose on customer service. STAY AWAY!
