Kate spade has cancelled my order for no reason for the THIRD time! HORRIBLE website! I was really looking forward to the items I had ordered. This is a real bummer. They could at least give me a reason, but they're not answering my emails. Never again
I ordered a bag on final sale from the official website, and had seen this bag in store. Received it quickly via international shipping but was horrified to find a USED BAG in the box! Not kidding! Large pen, ink and makeup marks throughout the inside, faded logo and blackish smear on back where bags tend to rub against jeans and stain. Final sale so can't return. Disgusting!
Sad to say that one of my favorite purse brands is totally degraded. I feel that 90% of the purses they sell are PLASTIC, expensive plastic.
A couple of years ago I wouldn't have bothered to write a review for Kate Spade. However recently, I have been ordering a couple of their products that have caught my eye and I totally love them! They have new things like water bottles and umbrellas that are totally modern and are aimed at, yet not limited to, a younger audience. It's so cute and edgy!
I ordered from their website for the very first time and my order did not go through so now I have to wait 3-5 days for them to stop holding my money and for it to be back deposited back into my account. I DO NOT recommend ordering from them it's very frustrating and I am so angry that this happened my first time ordering from them. They kept asking if I would like to reorder my stuff and I asked if they could use the money that they are holding to reorder and they can't. Do not order from them. Just go to the a store if you want on of their purses that badly. If I could give zero stars I would.
I ordered twice from them over the holidays. This was the first time ordering from this store. What a terrible experience. The first order was supposed to be gift wrapped... which they charge for online but not in the store... nothing arrived gift wrapped. I also paid for faster shipping. Then, three of the items do not show up? And they are christmas gifts. On top of that I signed up for the emails and was entitled to 15% off, entered the code that they emailed me and it never deducted the 15%! I was on the phone for 50 minutes the day before christmas eve about all of these issues. Its the 27th and I still do not have a credit or the merchandise that they charged me for! They said the items would be delivered before the New Year, what good is that when they were christmas gifts and I paid for expedited shipping? Then, I made a return in the store... WITH A RECEIPT... however, since I used paypal they wanted to send me a paypal refund check in 3 weeks! 3 weeks even though I had the receipt! Third time, I placed a order to use the gift card from the paypal debacle and they did not apply it to the order. When I called back they said that they can't apply a different form of tender even though it was there own gift card! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! BUY FROM A DEPARTMENT STORE IF YOU HAVE TO. AWFUL!
I bought my wife the Wellesley Camryn purse for Hanukkah online on November 25th, which was advertised with a shoulder strap (both the photo and description). When it arrived there was not a strap so I called to tell them and have them send one. I was told they had to submit my complaint by email to their supervisor but it should be sent within 5 businesses days. After calling back and being told there was still no resolution I called a third time and asked for a supervisor. It was at that time I was told that the purse was falsely advertised with the shoulder strap (which was something my wife specifically wanted). I then was told they would email me a shipping label (since this was a sale item it normally wouldn't allow for returns). Apparently they sent out something to their service reps letting them know they falsely advertise this item so they the person I spoke with agreed that it could be returned, but needed special approval since it was a sale item. Now after waiting almost a week I still haven't received the shipping label. I even asked if I could exchange it for the "Wellesley Camryn Small" purse since it was almost identical but slightly smaller with a shoulder strap (as long as that one was advertised correctly), but the customer service rep couldn't do that for me. I have now sent an email to customer service with no response. I have a purse my wife does not want, and can't get a response from the company. Terrible customer service! Very disorganized company, and false advertising!
Placed an order on December 12th for a Christmas gift under the guise that it would be delivered in 3-6 business days. After a week in "processing" status and numerous calls, have now learned that the estimated shipping date is January 2/2017! Merry Christmas!
Over the years I have ordered countless of times on katespade.com and even returned and exchanged many items, never had an issue with the customer service and never had to wait, the agent answered the phone almost immediately once you keyed in your correct selection. The only time I had an issue was about a pair of sunglasses, it could not be repaired because the model had discontinued.
I just ordered three times---My phone is still on hold 90 minutes later for customer service--- the chat line is faster (20 minute wait---but no help). Hope you really like Kate Spade if you are ordering here. Personally, I would opt for another designer! I am hoping they don't charge me three times for this order (the order would not go through and there was no explanation!--- So, they have all your credit card information and then there is no charge---- very disconcerting!) Same issue as Lynda S! I placed an order in and received no order number or email. After clicking the submission button the following page errors out... yet money was taken from my credit card.
Online chat representative said no order was ever placed!

Do not order online for their products. Their big 'special sale' is a rip-off. They take the money, then the website goes to 'error 404' and there is no confirmation number, and no proof of order... but the money is taken. Spent 3 hours on the phone trying to get answers! They have no order for me and yet I am out my money. My bank is currently filing a 'fraud claim' against Kate Spade because there is proof KS took the money from the account they say there is no order! Worst website I have ever used!
I ordered a bag on Black Friday and received an email on Dec 1 saying my order is being canceled. I called in to ask about my order status and they said it run out of stock. I chat with another person online to double check if what the first person said is correct. They both said the same thing.
We ordered a bag, the apartment number was wrong, contacted some one her name was Joanne to correct she said that she can't guarantee we asked her to cancel the order so we can re-submit she said no. Finally they got the money and we have never received the item. UPS said they didn't pick the item and we can't reach anyone who can understand. Really they are horrible and if you want to avoid scam and troubles please stay away!
Bought a purse in their Wrentham Outlet Store on sale but wanted to return it 9 days later, unused, tags attached and they would not refund my money back. Their return policy shows that items purchased on sale can be returned within 14 days. The store's excuse is that my item was purchased as final sale and sales noted as final sale are non-returnable. Nowhere in the store, or on the tag or on my receipt noted that my purchase was a final sale. Beware of their misleading, suspiciously long and contradictory return policy.

My new Kate Spade sat two months in storage in a plastic purse hanger behind my closet door. The red colour on the edge of the handle on both sides bled into the face of the purse. I contacted customer service and they told me that it was caused by "normal wear and tear" and was not covered by their warranty. I had never worn the purse and nothing had ever touched it but itself and it was only two months into their one year warranty. When I looked for the label inside the pocket that they ask you to send I realized that on the back of the Kate Spade made in New York label it actually says made in China. The cheap China dye had leaked on my brand new purse and Kate spade is denying any responsibility for their quite obvious factory defect. I bought 4 Kate purses and this is the last. It was obvious how the dye Mark fits perfectly with the purse handle.
I called because I encountered difficulty placing an order while traveling abroad. The service representative, Danielle, was genuinely sweet and worked with me to get the item ordered. Very pleasant and proactive.
Got an email for an item going on sale on KateSpade.com immediately went to web site and did a search the item was not there. I called customer service and they said oh the web site is down, which it was not. I called back and got another customer service person who said that is a popular item it is gone. Within 1 minute? Shame on you.
Kate spade has awesome products. You should never buy KS at full price. There's always a sale going on or there will be one soon. Also almost all the items end up at KS outlet.
KS should slow down on bringing out new products. It's very hard to keep up with all the new merch.
Answer: Good luck with that! Once they make a sale that's it. Good luck getting in touch with a person. The brick and mortar store maybe easier to deal with, but the website is the worst. Don't do business with these guys online
