As the title describes... I was mortified to experience wheel bearing failure same day installation was performed. I realize the product may have been slightly below my standards thus would adjust my expectations. However, I never would have had imagined a wheel bearing to fail within 30 miles of normal use.
I initially ordered two sets of front wheel bearings. One set destined to repair original aged factory bearings, and a second set for a spare wheel.
I've not installed the second set. Obviously I have concerns with using the same manufacturer of bearings. With that said, now that the bike has been towed home from the side of the highway and in my garage, there is no urgency to re-repair the front wheel. Especially with the same brand of wheel bearings. I will likely source a higher quality bearing from a quality proven manufacturer. Rg. Timken, FAG, SKF, etc.

Warehouse shipped one wrong tire, so had to return it to store and get them to order and ship correct one. It was received the next day, so that was great service.

The current lead time is listed at about 8-10 business days to receive the item. As for the material, I do believe that it is a synthetic leather material but I cant find a direct answer to that on Cobra's site so I am not 100% sure.
