I bought copies of MS Office for both my work computer (Mac) and my home (PC). Submitted my paystub for verification and had everything up and running inside an hour. I don't like that if my comp crashes that I have to repurchase if I don't have the download anymore, but having a cloud drive solved that. This is my second purchase from JourneyEd and I plan to make more. The prices are unbeatable.

I bought software from JourneyEd that had a 6-month term. The software was SPSS. About 3 months into the 6 months, the software stopped working with an error message that my serial number had expired. I e-mailed dozens of times and never got a response from them. Absolute ripoff and non-existent customer service.

They don't hold stock but will advertise items as available. I orderered 12/27 and was notified on 1/19 (23 DAYS LATER!) with a "we don't care" misspelt 12 word email saying that the item was not available. So that's 23 days from order date just to say they can't fulfil. Poor customer service, avoid.

Tip for consumers:
Use another site, these are just advertising goods they don't have

Great offers, super offers such as Office 2016 Plus for $29.95. As far as I can tell it's actually available (after plugging in college after college till I found one) in maybe 1% of colleges. Classic clickbait! If you do buy from them DO NOT use a Debit card, use a good credit card, keep records and then if things go bad, refuse the charge promptly. From reviews here about 50% go bad.

I purchase a copy of Microsoft Office Professional from them. I needed to reinstall it about 2.5 years later. Microsoft said at that time that the license key was likely fraudulent and not valid.
I contacted JourneyEd with this information, and they responded that the license was only good for 2 years. No where in the description of the sold product did it state that the license was Only for 2 years. I thought I was buying the standard product.
This is clearly JourneyEd trying to cover up that they must have sold me a fraudulent software license.

I ordered an Adobe software from this company. My credit card was charged twice for the same software. I contacted the company's customer service and was informed that they do not issue refunds for any reason. After the call, I researched this company and discovered numerous similar complaints. I will dispute the charge with my credit card company. This is an extremely dishonest company with a horrible reputation that changes its name frequently.

I called this place three times today and once on yesterday and with each callback, I was given wrong information and they would not stay on the line with me to complete anything I was told. I explained I was trying to purchase an office program and the first person directed me to where I could find them and asked was there anything else, I asked that he stay on the line while I looked and he would not. I called again and asked what is the best product for me to get and I was told the Microsoft office is better for me than the Office 365, I asked if he'd stay on the line and he would not. My third call was to advise that there were two Microsoft office programs, Home 2019 and Professional 2019 and I needed to ensure that I got he correct product and I was told to get the Office professional Plus so I typed in professional plus and came up with one software program Professional plus 2019 and one calculator and proceeded to check out. I was told I didn't need to create an account and I wouldn't be charged taxes. I was sent Professional Plus 2016 and charged taxes. I called and left two messages and get an email back saying I ordered 2016 so I sent a screen shot showing 2016 is not even an option on the screen and then I received an email stating I was not charged taxes. I asked both people emailing me to please get me a manager and they just kept responding stating I got what I ordered and I wasn't charged taxes. Finally I got an email stating they are closed all managers are gone and trying using the chat tomorrow. I had actually been trying to use the chat option all day and it never worked so that is why I ended up calling in the first place. Now I am stuck with no way for get this program on my laptop, I have a program for Windows 2016 which I don't have and I'm out $32.01. I don't understand how a company that works with so many schools could have such horrible agents working and just not care enough to help a customer when a mistake has been made. I would like the correct program I ordered and the taxes credited if I was not supposed to charged them

Web site is very careful to tell you there are no refunds for downloadable software. Only AFTER you make the purchase do they bother to tell you that your eligibility has to be confirmed before you can get the access to the download. If you need something quick on a Sunday, too bad. You just wasted your money. Despite two online messages and three voice mails to the "Customer Service" supervisor, I have heard nothing back.

I just placed an order for software as I am an Instructor at a local College. I get emails about seemingly great deals through Journey ed All the time. I just placed an order for software as I wanted to get the key and download it on my new laptop immediate. After I placed the order for the software key it charged me sales tax as well as shipping fees so now I have to wait for what was implied a downloadable software key-code. Also all sales are final from them. I was fairly upset about this event so I went to Microsoft's main page to see what the pricing was and lone behold it seems Microsoft has a better deal than journey Ed. I sent them a customer response to see if they will make this right and refund my money. As I am very displeased I will also let All my students and peers know that this is not a good deal at all.
SO... Dont do what I did and be wise, learn from my mistake and do not use journey ed to purchase a thing.

Most of the good reviews you see on here are by employees. Go with a big name trusted retailer or order from the software company themselves. Most software companies will have an education ordering option anyway on their website, like Adobe. No need to go through a crooked middleman.

I purchased some items in October from them. I wanted 2 additional items but couldn't find them. I know they had it because I saw it a few days earlier. After being on hold for an HOUR the representative have the audacity to tell me without the SKU number she couldn't help me. I could always put in a second order once I found it. What? I was speechless as I desperately needed the software I did find, I purchased it.

In November, I located the 2 items I was previously looking for. Left them in my shopping cart & logged out. The next day, I receive an e-mail that the order was processed. How? I did not enter ANY credit card information. I quickly emailed them back to cancel the order. Turns out, they used the card from my previous order. I called customer service, on hold AGAIN this time 1.5 hours. All the rep could do was send an email. I heard NOTHING back. Today, I telephoned, hold time 35 minutes, & spoke to the customer service manager and he said I had to have entered the card for them to get it. They DO NOT keep cards on file. Then he mistakenly informed me the card number & bank issuer. He then informed me that they had all my credentials on file so I wanted the product. I said NO the credentials were there from my October purchase. I proceeded to tell him I was filing a complaint and he lost a customer his words to me was SO and feel free to dispute the credit card transaction. I told him heard of Karma comes back TRIFOLD. Again his words were SO and he hung up on me.

Tip for consumers:
Use a prepaid or gift card with the EXACT amount. I've read that people where charged SEVERAL times for same product.

Never do business with Journey Ed/ Academic Superstore. They refuse to honor a credit thatI have on file. They mislead on price matching and as per BBB/Dallas they are not members. There are several other academic stores that are much better and honorable.

I purchased software from JourneyEd in the past and never had a problem. But I just ordered Adobe Software and my order has been in the "Shipping" rather than "shipped" status for two weeks. I have emailed the company multiple times about this, and have yet to receive a reply. I filled out their online help form and received no reply. Yesterday I called them, was on hold for over an hour... I was finally number one in the queue (according to the automated voice), but then, I suddenly got a message that told me to leave a message! So I left a message to have someone call me back. No one did. I called them again this morning. So far, I have been on hold two hours. Today, I am not even getting the automated voice that tells me how long a wait I have or where I am in the queue. It's just ridiculous.

Horrible service. Refused to cancel my order. Trying to talk someone on the phone is hell. Trying to figure out a way to get my money back and cancel my order- still. Sorry I'm a full time college student, I don't have money to throw around.

My computer crashed and I had to reload my Windows so I lost Microsoft office 2010. They resent me the link where I downloaded it and then went through the school to bill my financial aid to send out disks for the software too. I called to return the disks and the lady tried to tell me I should've seen where they had in red that it was non refundable. I didn't order the disks, but yet my federal financial aid was falsely billed for it. Biggest scam there is.

Made a mistake ordering the wrong OS version of Flash Pro for a class because their site is NOT clearly marked in the titles nor is it on the front page of the item, you have to click a second tab to get to the specs. Oh wait, it is on the page... a teeny, tiny 1/4 inch logo of the OS it is for. Their page is also very difficult to navigate and find information.

Customer service is a joke and extremely unhelpful. I was told I would have the RMA number within 24-48 hours and here I am three days later being told the same thing by a different service rep that I should have the number by Monday. I will never buy from them again and told them so after waiting an hour to speak with an answering machine.

JourneyEd and AcademicSuperstore are completely devoid of service or support. They have dropped to a low of scamming their customers for revenue. I ordered Photoshop from JourneyEd on Jan 18th, 2014 so my daughter could work on a school project but the box set never arrived within the stated time period. I called and they informed me that it was backordered and they could not provide me an availability date. I ask if it would be possible to get a download (my mistake) and they sent me a link via email. The link ran for a while then failed with a partial download "Photoshop_13_LS16. Zip. Partial". I called and was told that they were having trouble with the company who was providing this service for them and I should try again latter. I tried many times then contacted them to cancel my order as I needed to get the software without delay. Then on Feb 3rd I went to AcademicSuperstore to place another order and much to my dismay I received the very same link, which not surprisingly failed again at downloading the product. I then contacted both sites letting them know that they were NOT able to provide me the product and I needed to cancel the orders. At this time we needed to get Photoshop quickly as a lot of time had passed with no progress on her project. I placed the order with NewEgg who promptly sent me a working link with which we received the product quickly and even at a lower cost ($321.99 vs $348.99). Today after numerous emails and phone calls to their customer support center I have yet to receive a refund for the software which they NEVER provided. I would strongly recommend NOT placing ANY orders with these companies.

I ordered a product and received a confirmation it was in stock. They required proof of eligibility to get the price which I sent the same day. Weeks passed. When I checked i they claimed they never received the proof. I sent it the next day. They accepted the proof but then said the product was no longer available. They then tried to sell me the same product at a much higher price.

Stay away from this website. Thanks to the previous reviewer for the info about Academic Superstore being owned by JourneyEd. They have the worst customer service imaginable. I sent academic verification twice and requests to Customer Service for assistance. They cancelled my order with no apology. I waited four weeks for software I really need now. They are the worst shopping experience I've had on the web. Don't give them the business - they don't deserve it.

Total scam experience buying MS Office and training program from this site. Bought CD version, they sent corrupted download only version. Said they would refund but did not. Called back days later and they said someone in the other department does refunds (but it was approved before!) and would have to call me back to ask me some questions. What questions!? They have my money. Can't get a working product. Can't get the refund they already promised.

Horrible company and liars to boot! I bought Adobe Dreamweaver through them at their great low price and when I got the paid receipt noticed that they charged me $10.01 sales tax! They do not get sales tax since they are not located in the state I am in or have a presence here. I also noticed they charged me $14 for shipping a DVD case! Really? I tried to call customer service to find out why they thought they were able to charge for sales tax and was put through to a Filipino customer service agent who knows NOTHING about American tax laws!

As I tried to explain to her that they can't charge sales tax she just argued that they do and that is that! I hate companies that outsource! I filed a complaint with the BBB and the company first said I was not charged the sales tax so I gave them the proof, then they tried to say they have given me a refund and tried to make it right which is a utter LIE! I have never received an email from them nor was my credit card refunded. They are cheats and I will not do business with them again.

I have wasted soooo much time with this company. I called to cancel an order, and chaos ensued. Their computer systems were "down" for days, or so they claimed, then they shipped the product anyway, even though I canceled it, and then they charged me for shipping anyway (after one of their reps explicitly assured me they wouldn't do this). Now I am waiting on an email from some follow up team, and I'm already sure this email will not come.
I'm seriously considering calling my bank and trying to file a criminal complaint or something against JourneyEd as a fraudulent company to have these charges removed.
Terrible customer service, very unhelpful representatives on the phone.
Please, do not use this company, discounts or no.
