After ordering a simple 16 and it turning up a completely different red I asked to have a refund. After many messages toing and froing with them saying I was wrong about the colour they said I could have a refund but would have to pay 60% of the cost of the dress and pay for postage back to China! China is not stated when ordering and as it goes under a co.uk business name it does not imply it will be coming from China.
Know that I know I ve been had as it ll cost the same amount to return the dress to them as it did for the dress I ve realised I ll have to try and sell it myself. If all that wasn't bad enough I ve had a demand for a further £27 from customs saying I have to pay the import costs.
I am bewildered that this company are allowed to sell as they are unprofessional and completely immoral.
If anyone knows what I can do to stop others being conned please let me know!

Firstly i would like to say, any good reviews on this place are fake and done by the company themselves.

Now here is my experience with the company.
A few months ago i ordered a dress and cancelled it within 24 hours, This seems simple enough, no money was taken so they simply just had to cancel. However, 3 days later the money was taken out of our account and after contacting the customer service multiple times, asking why and when can we have a refund, they said " i am sorry for this, but dress was shipped, and it is too late to cancel the order". (including broken english) This surprised us as it was 3 days after the order was taken and it was also supposed to be custom made to our specific measurements, so we began to question this excuse and the overall quality of the dress at all. Then we agreed that we will wait for the dress to come so we can then send it back and get the refund we deserved in the first place. However, once again it wasn't that simple, its now two months later and the dress hasn't arrived and all kind of response from the customer service has stopped. They ignore our emails and fail to respond with any valid excuse. I have proof of all of this saved on my emails yet they still fail to take responsibility. This is the most obnoxious and unprofessional website i have ever seen and i demand that they contact me ASAP. They have also gone as far to delete my account so that i cannot see the order status of the dress.

To conclude, on a website like this even something that seems so simple can turn into a disaster

I am sooooo happy! Firstly, the communication was great, i was always updated of where my dress was, Secondly, i actually had my dress in my hands 3 days before the original set shipping date! Which is fantastic because i was worried it would not arrive in time for my party,, And thirdly, the dress is fantastic, it is exactly how it is shown in the picture! I am very pleased with Joannesdress and i will be buy in more items off here! So thank you very much, i know I\'m going to enjoy my night with this dress and i will recommend this site :)

Ordered 2 prom dresses. One was a 2 piece, the other was a full length dress. These were not 'made to measure' dresses, just the usual size 8 dress size! The 2 piece was great, suited and fitted but unfortunately, the full length dress didn't suit my daughter or fit properly. Emailed the company asking for details of how to return the dress. They replied if you could take a photo of how it doesn't fit and we can alter it for you to make it fit. I replied again to say, unfortunately it just doesn't suit her and fit her figure, also mentioned that I ordered two dresses hoping that one would suit. They then replied saying that they do not refund for made dresses? How can you try on a dress from the website? If it had of been a 'made to measure' dress I would have totally understood, as no one is the same size! I am waiting to hear from them as I type. Watch this space.

Having read the reviews, i was sceptical as to wether or not we would get what we wanted.
We found the dress on their website and sent the measurements using the guide provided on the the website.
We confirmed the measurement 2 days later via e-mail and 3 weeks after that the dress arrived. I now have a very happy young lady, who is delighted with the dress.

Wow, got this beautiful evening dress from this store in a really cheap price. I came to this website hearing they are giving up to 75% discounts on their dresses. I already read some great reviews about this store. So I was confident about finding the dress I was looking for. Totally fell in love with the details on the dress. Since the store is giving 75% discounts, everything was very cheap. My little sister also got her evening dress from the store. The store has prom dresses in really affordable price. The shipping time is perfect. If I have to write a review about this web store then I want to give them 5 out of 5. Everything was done with a very professional approach. Sometimes I had to face troubles ordering a dress that was on sale. I noticed that even though the store was giving a discount on the dress, the delivery charges they asked were more than normal. So in a way it was a marketing strategy to ultimately make the customer pay the full price. Since this did not happened here I had a great time ordering the dress.

Beautiful! My mind pictured all the horrific things you could possibly imagine, before the dress arrived.It is very pretty. I ordered it in ivory and it colour is amazing, its not powder like or yellowish, which was something I was afraid of. It is quite heavy and the material itself is not cheap at all. It actually resembles an Essence of Australia one that I liked, but it costs 140 Sterling pounds. I will probably buy a petticoat underneath it, its quite heavy to walk around with and I do not want to constantly move it back and forth with me. I know how risky it was ordering a wedding dress online. My only regret is the larger size, however other than that I would do it again. Overall, if you are a bride on a budget, and you are not a big fan of having to find your dress from the items on sale only, then try this out. Thank you so much Joannesdress.

I ordered a dress that I wanted custom made, I asked the company to forward me a measuring guide to ensure it was accurate. I measured the sleeves as informed. When the dress arrived and the sleeves were 3 inches too short they told me I had not supplied them with the measurements. I proved to them I had as it was in an email and they even replied to it. They now say it's my fault I measured it wrong although I followed their guide and they must have guessed if they supposingly didn't have the information. They will not refund or exchange we just keep on going in circles. The dress cost £120, it didn't fit properly anywhere, the colour wasn't right and it looked cheap. I am now trying to claim my money back, please do not use.
