I tried 4 times to reset my passed. And was rejected each time. Finally just gave up. I don't kno why it was rejected... should have explained? I finally got a card made... they are wonderful cards. I kept starting over because I didn't see an edit option. Once I get my password figured out, I'll explore making cards again.
I saw the renewal charge on my card and thought " oh no, I'm stuck for another year!" But when I logged on their site I easily found where I could request cancellation with a full refund! I soon received a sweet email that confirmed my request. Thank you for making dealing with your company so easy and friendly. It encourages me to do business with you again in the future.
It was fun selecting and putting the card together. I had trouble when i made mistakes already entered. I seemed like there was no way to go back and edit, accept by starting over. I took off 1 star, for what might be that I could not figure it out.
I enjoyed JibJab MUCH more when faces could be made to the actual shape of a person's face. I don't enjoy it near as much and may not sign on for an additional year. Some if the starring you videos are also not as funny as some.of the old ones.
Jib Jab is one of those rare companies which actually does what it says it will do to make sure that customers are happy and satisfied. Case in point, I opened an account and then closed it an hour later when I could not produce a card with more than 6 heads. The outstanding aspects of the process are that it was totally hassle free, took only a few minutes to do, and it was a pleasant experience.
I have been a long-time user of JibJab to engage students and make a tired faculty smile. I have seen it grow through the years and the hilarious creativity of the staff never fails to produce scenes that are enjoyed by adults and young students alike. No company is perfect, but this one listens to the customer and attempts to change what they can without breaking laws or the bank. It's worth making recommendations to them. They listen.
Signed up/paid to access Valentine's videos but despite trying four different times with four different sets of photos (in the same video) the mouth of one photo would always appear as just a big black hole. Disappointing to have gone through so many steps to end up with nothing usable.
Based on a jib jab card I'd received I expected the choices to be funny - not so many 'bathroom, bodily function, gross choices. I'm not interested in the personalize with photos of others either. Will spend a bit more time exploring but anticipate I will not renew - may drop, membership
7 days ago I ordered one of their video downloads. This is a virtual product costing just $4.99 and availability should have been quick considering the video card is already viewable with their link. Numerous email sent to them asking how long I should expect to wait and while I did get replies from support they never answered my question. I have now escalated my Paypal payment to a claim.
This was an impulse buy and this is long gone!
The whole concept is very cute... but I am looking for more that would be family friendly and not so suggestive. I have grandchildren who got a kick out of the one I sent their dad for his birthday and it happened to be the cleanest for children to view that I could find. I would be sending many more if they were more family and age appropriate. Thank you
P.S. I have several nephews (4) that are very talented ink sketch and drawing artists, as well as, a Printmaker. Also, excellent at captions with humor!
I wanted to make a few videos for my bosses on boss's day. My team thought it would be a good laugh. I actually went in to read the terms and conditions to figure out the pricing. All I could find was $1.50 a month. So I went ahead and signed up. Well apparently I missed something because I was charged $18 the next day... for 3 videos. I was really disappointed. Your website is very unclear and feels a little sneaky because you feel you can't confidently post your price. Even if I did miss something (I looked really well), customers want easy, simple interactions with companies. Not spending 20 minutes reading terms and conditions.
Sent the JibJab Tequila card and the Birthday person was very happy with it.
My only problem is probably the speed of my computer which is too slow to give me a continuous performance.
So it's a bit frustrating for me to look at the 'card'.
The whole thing is fun however, and your instructions were just fine.
Particularly good with our mix of serious adults, smiley adults, happy children, male and female.
Well done. Looking forward to doing another
I was unaware that i bought a year subscription when it clearly stated that it was under $2 for a months use. Additional to that if i had not cancelled jib jab would continue to charge me $18 ongoing until i cancel. Not very clear with terms and conditions. Almost felt conned. But as my kid enjoyed it so much i gave rating 2 rather than a 0!
I had been charged an annual fee though I had a free account. I requested that the charge be refunded and, after all my blunders trying to get them the necessary documentation (Daniel was very patient with me through it all), they refunded the erroneous charge. Few businesses handle such things as well so I'm very pleased and definitely recommend JibJab as a fun business that truly values their customers and their integrity.
The act of downloading the video does little to nothing to cost JibJab money and yet they want to charge $1.99 for each download. That is backwards. By downloading it that means the video can be deleted off their servers. I would say it makes much more sense to charge a monthly fee to keep all of a user's videos on the server indefinitely. I failed to show my sister's birthday wish to my boys in time and now it's just gone.
I spent hours last night trying to create and send a card to a friend for his birthday. I still have no idea if it was ever sent because the website was constantly shifting, asking for subscriptions, etc. All I freaking wanted to do was create an animated card, see it to verify, send it, and pay for it. That was too complicated though and today, on his birthday, I had to *ASK* if the card was sent. And, btw, when I go to jibjab.com and am presented with a web page that just says "Be Funny" for several minutes, that's not cute, it's annoying as hell. I'll never use this service unless grown-ups get a clue.
I wish there were more choices, for the video messages, especially. Just some fun choices, not necessarily having to do with specific days, holidays, or celebrations.
Like, I wish there were some 'friendship' ones you could put a friend or 2 or 3 in - just because. Or a 'wishing you a nice day' - something where the person(s) still move their mouths, or sing, cause those are the funniest.
The dance ones - where no one talks or sings and the mouths never move, I don't think they are as engaging. Just some few spots in them where the faces talk a little, would make it more fun.
Site worked great, and was a lot of fun for all the employees to see. Video quality could be a little better, the videos get fuzzy when using a projector.
Only issue was the credit card payment didn't work - had to run everything through Paypal afterward.
There is no initial trial. To use this service, you pay an $18 year subscription. Registration process sets up an auto-renewing subscription on your PayPal or CC without even asking. Even after paying a subscription there is a $2 fee per video to download it. Every video download is branded with a watermark which is highly undesirable if you want to maintain your own professional look for the videos. For this reason, I feel the service represents poor value and the hidden costs are likely to annoy customers.
A friend wrote back and said how talented I am. I told her it really didn't take much talent. The site does it all for you. People are always surprised and delighted to receive them. And they make you look very clever!
Answer: Unfortunately, now you can only edit your heads immediately after you upload them, which makes it a waste of time to save them because each head you upload will only work correctly for the video you uploaded it for. I was told they removed the 'edit any time' function so people could use their app on androids which sounds pretty absurd to me. Oh well, this will be the last year I ever pay for it again if they don't correct this outrage.
Answer: We've removed the fine-tuned shaping feature for now to make our casting process easier for all; we also made adjustments so that users can easily cast their cards directly on mobile devices. This is part of our desire to make sure that anyone can learn to use and send our cards! Please feel free to reach out to help@jibjab.com with any additional feedback and we'll pass it along.
Answer: No more than 30 min. Had to find and edit my pictures that I used.
