Iyogi team send me an email from <*******@gmail.com Thanking me for the purchase of a new technical support plan, when I I told them that I did not purchase anything from them in years, they asked me to go inside my computer in order to refund the money, I almost fell into the trap! But I hang up and check my bank account, nothing happened and I contacted my bank and found them what happened, Yogi still call me today if I wanted my refund, and I hang up my phone, I checked online and I found that Yogi is no longer in service, I'm worried they have my information

I purchased software and a 5-year tech support plan from iYogi in 11/15. Now the software has disappeared from my computer and I can't get in touch with anyone from iYogi despite calling 3 different phone numbers and trying to log on to their website as a member (my access code) was rejected as not valid. Has anyone else had this experience. Has anyone been able to contact iYogi by telephone? Would appreciate feedback.
Thanks,
Kathleen H.

I have used iyogi for years, but have recently become disappointed in their services. The last two times I have called, they do a hard sell for windows 8.1. Since I have Windows 7, I would rather wait for the free windows 10 upgrade. The said 7 was no longer support ed anywhere which also isn't true. My problem was not fixed and their price for software was higher than anywhere else I looked.

Sometimes they were good, a lot of times they would push to sell me things that I would just hang up on them.

I have been using iYogi for tune-ups on a computer between quarterly and monthly depending on the need. Their tune-ups have resolved problems that I had.

The issue I have with iYogi is that most times when I have gotten a tune-up the iYogi technician has tried to sell me another product, in a quite persistent manner, which I have to say "no" to multiple times before he finally gives up. The most recent time was actually amusing: In mid July 2015 he tried so sell me on upgrading my System 7 to System 8; this was after it was widely known that Microsoft was about to offer System 10 for free. It has also been widely known for several years that System 8 is a dud. I pointed all this out to him but still had to say no many times before he gave up.

Billing system, I was charge twice. They told to me to let it pend for a couple of days and I should receive my money. Its fishy, also software is not included and they do not reinforce that enough in the beginning. To me I was thinking this company provided a service of: providing you with, free software online, making your PC run better, smoother, and faster. Which they did so after paying them for the over priced software. Never the less I was charged. Today $169.99 Twice(pending), a $29.99 fee, a $162.99 upgrading to windows 8, and lastly a pricey antivirus software also $139.99. Before actually thinking of purchasing from these guys make sure to have some dough. I liked the knowledgable technician, and the sale person. Over all the experience was in my record a solid 8 out 10. The pricing on software is the real downside to this. Expensive and not enough emphasis in the beginning. Contrary to popular belief, It makes customer feel like the company is fishy, liars, and not very transparent. I hope they improve way to stress this to the customer before hand.

First of all, i had to wait nearly thirty minutes before being connected to a technician. The web site made it sound like I was contacting Apple direct, but only after asking three times did the guy admit that they were an Apple "agent", his word, not mine. The technician was located in India, and his English was only barely better than my Indian. He was courteous and knowledgable, but I had real difficulty understanding him. Once I learned that he was not with Apple, I asked him what it was going to cost, and after several questions, he finally gave me their rate structure. I ended up paying $149 for one year service on all my devices which probably isn't that bad. However, every time I have called them the wait has been ridiculously long. Although they did finally fix my problem after two calls and a total of nearly three hours (including waiting time), I will definitely not renew when my year contract is up.

I used iYogi about eight times and I found them satisfactory for the most part. Their technicians were generally knowledgeable, thorough and unfailingly polite (except for one time when I got a condescending technician who impatiently told me the answer to my question was obvious). They were willing to spend as much time as necessary to fix my problem. By the end of the sessions my problem was resolved. Unfortunately, this recurring problem that caused the printer to go offline was never identified and I had to pay an outside technician to come to my house and tell me I needed a firmware upgrade. I fixed it myself. My other complaint is that at the end of a session the technician always tried to sell me something using hard sell tactics. In fact, my credit card was charged for another year without my permission two months before my contract was up. This caused me to lose trust in iYogi so that at the moment I am not signed up for the iYogi service.

I have been a customer of IYOGI for about 4 years. They have always been able to get things back on track, but sometimes it takes longer than I would prefer which sometimes results in my waiting too long to ask for their help. Their technicians are always very courteous and for the most part are knowledgable

After receiving my e-mail exclaiming my dissatisfaction with the level of service, iYogi Customer Service is canceling my account and providing a full refund for a service agreement initiated in January 2015.

Tip for consumers:
Evaluate the reputation and service reviews of three (3) local computer service repair services before spending your money on computer repairs. "Home Adviser, Angies List, Better Business Bureau" are good resources.

I used this service to install antivirus software on my laptop. Due to a poor internet connection on my end, I spent two hours on the phone with a representative trying to get auto-renewal charge deleted from my account and trying to get the softball installed. After the antivirus software was installed I noticed I had a double charge for services on my credit card. When I called back and explained the double charge, the company said they had to wait 48 hours to conduct an investigation even though it just happened. After the 48 hours, I did receive my refund. I will say while the service can be slow and hard to understand at time, my antivirus software has kept my laptop safe.
