It's Just Lunch

I joined IJL after a heart breaking break up because they offered the hope I so desperately needed that there might be somebody out there for me. I'm not one for going out much, so I thought it was perfect. The sales person raved about how "we've got LOTS of guys who meet that description" based on how I described myself and what I'm looking for. Every single match was worse than the last. Nice people, but they met none of my criteria - the most important one being no kids. IJL completely ignored what I said I was looking for and matched me with guys where we had next to nothing in common, and weren't at all what each other was looking for. It was an extreme disappointment and insult to injury to the tune of $2K. I just received my settlement check from the class action lawsuit they're in, but unfortunately they're still open for business. You'll have better luck finding someone under a proverbial rock.

If I had the option of choosing a '0' as a rating I would have done so. This business is a complete SCAM! It has been 9 months since my investment of $3000. 00. I have had two dates, one with a man that was polar opposite of what I am looking for and a second with a man that was a bit closer to my expectations but still not a good fit. My matchmaker has set up additional dates but has canceled them prior to the first date. I was assured prior to signing up that IJL that they had a robust database of men that fit my profile requirements. I have expressed my concerns about IJL not living up to their agreement. Additionally, due to their very poor service I have requested a refund. To date, I have not received a response. This has been a very frustrating experience. Such a waste of money!

Carla is unequivocally the greatest matchmaker IJL has to offer. She has been so sweet, kind and patient in working with me and truly "gets" my wants, desires, dreams and needs and is matching me up with some amazing people, though it takes time to really cultivate an understanding of personality--and now, after a few "less-than-desirable" matches, she is NAILING IT!

Needless to say-Carla is a genuine pleasure to work with and I'm excited to continue talking/working with her, even if I don't ever match up with my soulmate!

My overall experience with IJL has been great. Working with my coordinator Debbie has been positive and has taken a lot of the guess work and rejection out of the process that one encounters relying on internet based match making services.

High pressure sales call. IJL contacted me. Started at a price of 10,000.00 dropped to 2,000.00 for 3 mths. When I said I wasn't interested they said " we have a guy we know you are going to love." they told me they had a match that spoke spanish and played multiple instruments. The match did not speak Spanish or play multiple instruments. They knew from a previous use of IJL that would perk my interest. I will never use them again. Impossible to get refund when they lied about the client.

IJL does the hard work for you! They find you a match and set up the when/where you meet. The rest is up to you! It's basically a blind date, except you've seen a picture and know a little about each other. If you want to see them again you exchange contact info. If not, you part ways. It feels so much safer this way! IJL verifies everyone so you know you aren't getting cat-phished. My matchmaker Anita W really takes the time to speak with her clients to learn as much about them so as to better match them. I've enjoyed the dates she's set up for me.

Tricia R was my executive matchmaker, and I think that she did a great job listening to what I was looking for and finding a great potential match for me. She has really good energy and was very excited to find the right person for me. Mike and I had a great time on our first date - we made a great connection and had a lot in common. We have been texting/talking since, and are looking forward to date #2! Overall, I feel I have met some great people through IJL, and appreciate being introduced to people I would not have met on my own.
