3 years i am still trying to file taxes I'm missing w2 for and don't know where I've worked. Can't verify who I am to get transcripts online despite having correct information, transcripts in maIL come blank when I worked multiple jobs. Im owed thousands and I im trying yo pay taxes but there is no way to do it because I can't access ANYTHING. JUST TAKE YOUR $#*!ING MONEY! The whole system is so $#*!ing flawed. How many years is it going to take to make this $#*! easier?

First and foremost, I recommend avoiding interacting with the IRS like the plague.
Second, the estimated wait time was 30-60 minutes, I was on hold for 100 minutes, only for them to transfer me to another estimated 30-60 minute wait.
Third, this is the 5th time I've called in 5 months since they ERRONEOUSLY intercepted my refund and each time I've called these "agents" do not understand what is wrong with my account and have said that the refund check will be sent out in 4 weeks and to check back then. I have yet to receive my refund check and it has been 5 months since my first request.
This system is inadequate, to say the least, and I have diminished respect and faith in the IRS system and believe that there are crooks in charge who take advantage of the American people's money.

Absolute worst.
February 23, 2023

Absolute worst company I've ever dealt with, zero acknowledgment of my REFUND, been 30 days & I have not received my refund. I received a letter that they took $1,500 of it but for some reason they won't send me the rest. Absolutely disgusting & unprofessional, they're thief's that steal your money ALL YEAR & then show you zero respect, gratitude or acknowledgment; and then they don't pay you back. WORST COUNTRY EVER!

I filled my tax return since February, my tax return still on processing, I am eligible for EIP payment but irs did not pay me. I have kids and am not working right now, I cannot pay my Bill's now. Am paying my taxes, we all have equal right to this EIP. I will keep cursing the irs everyday for suffering me and my kids. IRS hold my tax returns and also hold the EIP payment.

Back in 2001/2002, they stole my severance payout from a telecommincations company that i worked for (Bellcore/Telcordia Technologies/February). My severance was close to $11,000 - the amount that the irs said i owed them was the amount of my severance pay? Isn't that illegal? I know of others who were booted from the company too and they wanted to started businesses - i do not know if they were had too.

I'm a victim of Domestic Violence filed all the necessary paper work for the innocent spouse claim. The IRS is charging me back taxes that my ex-husband filed and signed my signature against my will. They sent letters stating we can't receive any money the tax returns were filed after 3 years; they are trying to charge late fees and penalties and my tax returns are getting intercepted because my ex-husband does not EVER file. How is this fair? They send you letters that your TAX REFUND has been intercepted and call this number if you have? S and you can't through Monday-Friday. It's back log of over 2 million people. The IRS needs to come back into the office and hire workers to service the people; it's not fair the Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted and government
agencies are still not in the office. I need HELP and I want my taxes to not be intercepted when I'm not the responsible party go after him and GET HELP NOW!

This doesn't even deserve a 1 star review. I contacted them and waited on the phone for nearly an hour. She pick up the phone and saying her name and ID number so fast that I can not even catch on to. I told her to slow down and she is just saying "WHAT DO YOU NEED" yelling at me. I called to see why I haven't received my stimulus check and she's like check online and then she says "ANYTHING ELSE" with an attitude. A day before that I called and someone else responded and he said I need to claim it. Its like as if they just want to give some random answers so they could just can move on and not to deal with you. At least the other person was a bit nice but she was extremely rude. I feel so sorry for her. Like get a life and if you don't want to deal with customers over the phone then quit your job. We are in middle of a damn pandemic and people losing their job and instead of helping this is how they respond to us as if were trying to get money from their parents assets or something. I have more to say but overall she should not be working there at all. I wish I had her name and ID number to expose her. You guys should do better and not hire a bunch of low life with an attitude to treat people however they want.

I called today to found out about a mailed payment, called first time waited for 2 hours, hanged up call, call again another hour waiting nobody answer, finally about 15 mnts for their closing time someone, answer, oh boy, this person was very mean with me, I just want to know if my payment got there since I mailed 10 days ago, and the due day is Feb 20, oh she started talking down on me, if I ask a question she practically tell me that I am not allowed to ask, nothing, until she ask me. President Trump, we need to get rid off IRS and just tax everything for whatever we buy and done with this nonsense department, everybody in there looks like they hate their job, Hey they forget who is paying their salary, oh, we the Tax Payers, I believe.

What a joke
March 16, 2023

How unfortunate it is to have someone take your money but then wont take your calls. I filed my 2020 taxes on time (IRS closed) then it took a whole year before I even saw the money. It came at the same time as my 2021 refund. Both returns were paper becasue for some reason the IRS assigned me an IPIN number but NEVER sent notice that they had done it so my returns were rejected forcing me to do paper returns. Fast forward to 2023 and its time to file again but I need my AGI. Access the IRS web site and what do I see, notice that I never filed in 2021...BUT I GOT A REFUND how is that possible? Now sitting on the phone AGAIN becasue Ms Sumpter hung up on me after 45 minutes. If you make threats they want to arrest you but it seems like threats are effective and get things done. From the Director down, the whole lot of them need to be fired. IRS employee's, staff, system, internal controls all are the worse.

I have spent the last 2 HOURS on hold, holding for a 3rd HOUR. 1st Hour I got transferred & hung up on. 2nd Hour I got transferred to another line to hold for another HOUR. This is RIDICULOUS! All these operators do is transfer you around to play the hold game. This is so unprofessional, unacceptable & unAmerican. This is what our government has to offer? SAD! All I need is copies of W2's for a former employee of our business. Something so simple. Yet so complicated. WHY? Why would anyone have a business in the US in order to go through this. NOT WORTH IT!

IRS states that if AGI is less than $72,000, you can use free file. However, they calculate AGI to be 100% of Social Security. And as anyone knows who has ever filled out a 1040, Social Security (for AGI purposes) is 50-85%. So IRS needs to develop a definition for AGI and use it throughout their correspondence with their CUSTOMERS. And quit lying to us.

We have tried several times to call the IRS to resolve an issue and either get a recording saying they are too busy and call later or the 2 times we waited on hold for a long time and finally spoke to an agent, they just put us on hold and then disconnected us. We have tried to go into our local office in Houma LA and were told we were not allowed in and to call the IRS instead. Duh, we tried that already. As a registered voter and tax payer I say defund the IRS and let's start all over again with all new employees who are not lazy and incompetent.

Well folks, when the news media hears about the UNAUTHORIZED Inadvertent Disclosure of Taxpayer Information that has been going on since Oct 2006, yep 2006 via the IVES (Income Verification Express System) of not hundreds, not thousands, but MILLIONS of taxpayer information disclosed to the WRONG UNAUTHORIZED party, then you know what is going to hit the fan.

ANYONE, can become an IVES participant through the IRS AND get taxpayer information on anyone they want. There IS NO verification process to become an IVES user and I KNOW that ALL the IVES users are scared to death about this becoming pubic.

Because, if it ever hits the news, the mortgage industry and credit agencies will be brought to a SCREECHING halt.

Freedom of Speach! It is our ONLY hope in this screwed up county.
