Tried to buy filter, CCP520, on their eBay site. Shows in stock, but never received tracking. Contacted right away to find out shipping details. No communication! After 3 messages, someone replied in messaging and said the item is Not in stock! And that I should cancel the order. After sending 2 replies back and forth. I requested they update their "in stock" availability - at the time 6 in stock. They never changed the status.
Worst company to NOT have dealt with. Buy from anyone else that will actually respect your purchase.
I bough their ultra 16ML pool cover in April of 2021. It states there is an 8 year partial warranty, 2 year full warranty. I sent them pictures of the pool cover falling apart after 1yr two months. It was falling apart and pieces were getting in my filter. They replied back and said they would give me 15% off on a new purchase. I paid over $200.00 for the one i bought from them and they don't want to replace it even after i sent in pictures and had my order number with the date. I will not be buying any pool products from them again. Poor customer service.
The timeliness of the delivery was ok. The delivery only came one day late from the day that it was promised. However the material/ the whole product was damaged and and when you call the company they have a really weird way of even trying to get you a refund or a replacement. Stated it would be another month for replacement. I am just not that hard-up for a pool that cost over$1300. Poor service as a company
So purchased a skimmer basket which was to be a replacement. Upon receiving the basket and placing it in skimmer, it was too small & tabs did not fit skimmer vacuum plate. Pictures were sent numerous times with explainations. All I got was their return policy which unfortunately could now not be applied due to their wording..
In the swim blocked me on Twitter; a customer trying to resolve a warranty case. They requested I send them a DM with all my info and they would fwd it to their logistics team... 6 days ago. I sent them another DM telling them I haven't heard from either warranty or logistics. They didn't reply, but they blocked me. I've been trying to deal with this issue of my liner shrinking in less than a year since 5/20/21. I've sent pictures, explanation to *******@intheswim.com and I have heard nothing. This comment will probably be deleted along with other customer complaints.
Ordered a pool cover from these guys paid for expedited shipping pool cover never showed contacted support and support basically said I was lucky because typically the covers are out 4-6 weeks and I was lucky that I was getting it. Still working with support to get refund for expedited shipping
I order aqua blocks to hold down my winter cover, the first set up 12 all had holes in them. They replacement order also had holes and one was broken. When I tried to explain the quality issue of the parts they were receiving from their supplier, they could care less. The accepted the return and will be accepting the 2nd return and I'm giving up and getting my money back. It's not worth my effort to try to make this work and I will no longer order from them. I will take my business elsewhere.
Customer service cannot understand english. Lesly's bought in the swim out and the business has gone to crap. Erased all previous order history. I am going to stay local and pay more. Never order from here again.
During a holiday promotion, I ordered an item that was on sale. It was a bundle that included a vacuum head, leaf net and a pool brush. When I received the the shipment, there was only a vacuum head in the box. I contacted them via chat on their website and was told that I only ordered the vacuum head and that my order was complete. I asked him if I could send him a copy of my receipt that they emailed me to show what I actually ordered. He send an email to which I copied my receipt along with a copy of what the website shows was the price for the vacuum head alone. My bundle was $30.78 on sale and the vacuum head was $24.99 on sale. I have not heard back from them timely so I reached out again asking for a status update. Again, no response. I normally buy all my chemicals for opening and closing my pool but am going to buy my chemicals from another site from here on out. If a company cannot stand behind its customer service, then I do not want to do business with this company.
Please, stay away from this place. Dishonest and unprofessional... do not spend your money here ever, they will take it, with no product ever intending to be sent. Uneducated customer service, don't even bother. It's a call center in Chicago, you will never speak to anyone, and if you do it will be the most unprofessional treatment you will ever receive. Unacceptable and should be out of business. Call your bank and have them assist you in getting your money back, it's your only hope. Read BBB reviews before you do anything! Reviews on their site are screened and only fake positive reviews are posted. Read the real people reviews, BBB is just one place to start. Please beware...
I searched for bromine on the In The Swim web site on a Sunday. Pop up window showed results giving 3 size buckets of chlorine. After selecting bucket sizes and ordering I realized I ordered chlorine and not the searched on bromine. I immediately tried to cancel. Web site had no way to cancel. Customer service number had no one working. Live chat said no one working but did allow you to send a message. I cancelled the order using this message and also sent email cancelling. Monday morning I called them when they opened and was told it was too late and it already was being processed. I also was told they would not accept returns, even if I left it in shipping package in opened
Buyer beware and avoid this company.
I placed my first order with In The Swim for 3 items. All 3 claimed to be in stock and delivery in 1 day. They all had the same tracking number but only one item appears. I call a couple days later and here another item shipped and the last items will ship in another day or two. Would have been nice to receive an email notification and how can they all have the same tracking number?. I guess I won't be ordering from them again!
Do not do business with this company. Despite the fact that on the website they say this is a husband and wife team that is dedicated to superior customer service, that is a lie. I bought products from them that were not right, because their marketing material was misleading. And their customer service response was impersonal and borderline rude. I went on a three week vacation, came back and I was two or three days outside of the return window, and they would not wait. Bad company
I bought an new Heyward Sand filter last year n May, and i bought a 2 year warranty with it.
It started throwing sand into my pool the first week. Heyward send an new mandrel, that i had to put in my self. No easy deal. It did not stop the problem. This year i started up the pool in May and sand is once again all over the pool and clogging up my rubber solar panels.
I called in the swim- they do not answer the support phone, i send email to no result. I called and got a man once, he sent me email to be sure i had the right place. I sent all my info to him a month ago and to date have never heard back from him or other wise- So much for a paid warranty..
I received a quality product but had to wait almost 2 weeks for delivery. I contacted them 3 different times, spoke to 3 different people and received 3 different answers. They advertise quick delivery on their website but I wouldn't bank on it. I was charged a handling fee on an item they didn't even ship. It was drop shipped from the manufacturer. I could have paid a few dollars more on at another site or Amazon and have it in 2 days. Your choice and money, just my opinion.
Absolutely the worst company ever. Ordered an expensive ladder. It came with a missing part. I called immediately upon delivery. Rep said missing part from was submitted and request would be expedited. Received an email confirming and advising to call back on July 8th. Called back 3 times. No help. Called back next day and was told I would have to wait another 72 hours for form to process and another 3 to 5 days for part.
Item show instock but when contacting company to clarify shipping time they said they "should" be getting stock soon so they are trying to build orders on items they do not have yet as if they have them instock
I bought two of the Skim-It's for my in-ground pool. They do not work. Very little debris goes into the skimmer. Some stays around the Skim-It and most gets directed back out to your pool. I asked for a return label so I would not have to pay another $9 something for shipping. They would not do it, even though the product does not do what it states it should do. I let them know I will not buy from them again. If I sent it back, I would be out $20. I paid $43.98, so I would loose $20. I say if it is advertised to do something and does not, the company should honor all your money back. It should be false advertising. I have to take my own advise, and stop trying all these stupid gimmicks these companies get rich from. Most things we don't need and most don't work as they state. In the swim is a poor company to do business with in my opinion.
I know for a fact, they cancelled my order and did not honor the original order/agreement. I placed order thru Amazon on 7/1/2022, website claimed product was in stock. I received a confirmation that order would be delivered between 7/13/2022 and 7/15/2022, then another between 7/13/2022 and 7/18/2022. I needed the pool motor ordered as soon as possible, so I emailed the Seller "In The Swim", thru the Amazon website and asked if my order could be expedited. I received a message back from Hanna A. At In The Swim, who advised me that my order was lost and I would be credited on my credit card. I contacted Amazon, they couldn't help. She attempted to search for another motor, but pricing was crazy high or no stock. I was told if I wanted to re-order price would be $417 with 10 day delivery. I paid $317 on my original order. I've been in Sales/customer service my whole career, when you have an agreement, you honor it! Be cautious, I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.
12' x 24' OVAL Economy Above ground Swimming Pool Winter Cover 8 Yr. Warranty
The cover broke down in a week and has contaminated my pool with carcinogenic tiny pieces of plastic. The pieces covered all swimmers, clogged my pump and filters. I am back and forth with the seller and the manufacturer and no one will take responsibility. DO NOT BUY
