Months and Months to get technical support (level 2) to call back. After finally getting them to realize the device was bad, getting the mailing label to be emailed is like parting the Red Sea... yes, you need an act of GOD! There customer service people are very nice and friendly but have no power to do anything but talk to another department. Spare yourself the pain and do not do business with this company.
I have an hotspot, purchased at Walmart and used it for three or four years. It worked wonderfully. Battery died, I finally replaced and when I went to reload they told me the device was "expired" and can't be used anymore. What a crock.
When I bought 2 gb's 2 month ago, I was told if I use it at least once every 30 days, it would carry over. I had about 1 gb left when we got home from our trip. When I tried using it today where there was service, there was no time left ( don't even have service here at home). When I called today, the guy said it expires every 30 days - no matter how many times I use it. So I ask if the rules changed since 2 months ago and he said no. At least I only lost about $10 instead of a lot more like some. I guess if you know you are going to use that amount in 30 days go for it. But it is Sprint and coverage was very minimal when we took our winter trip.
This company is a rip-off. First, they sent me a defective device and it took me two weeks of constant phone call until they concluded that the device was defective. Now they promised me to send me an email with the return information; I have called them three times and they keep saying that it takes 24 h. The email is nowhere to be found. They are not going to keep my money, I am sending a letter to the Attorney General.
Device doesn't work when we need it... I constantly need to call them to have the device refreshed? Also, we signed up with their $5 plan since we only use this for emergencies... we don't use must data. Every time I turn around they say we have zero data and must pay $15... it's a constant fight with them over the amount of data used and now I find a $30 charge on my card and have to call yet again!
Although I bought device due to never expiring data with at least one use per year, they have since changed their 'rules' that any data not used within 30 days expires. Beware of this company, a true ripoff if I ever saw one.
I purchased this over a year ago. I had more problems with these devises since I had it. I tried 3 different devises and none work any good. The worst part is that when I first started using it I was told that you will NEVER loss your data. I had 6.2 MB of data last month and now I have none. I called and was told that the company changed it service to a monthly service so I lost all my data I had. You have to buy service every month. I only purchased this for occasions of when there was no wi-fi while I was traveling. This is such a rip off. They never even notified me that there was going to be any changes in the service. Don't waste your money on the devices or service. STAY AWAY!
Worst service I have ever experienced. All representation is from India. They did not provide non expiring data as advertised. All data was dumped at end of month. I was only able to use. 19 Gb of the 2.0 that I purchased before it was erased to zero. Complain brought nothing but an argument from people that can barely speak English. I canceled the service. DONT GO HERE. RIP OFF!
I would like to start this by first of all addressing all the repair vans out there 24/7 repairing to no avail. Second it the worst internet that one can have in Malta especially if you are considering using "Go Wifi". Cannot online game, stream a video, the ping is too high (over 1000). Only reason why I am still using Go is because I move a lot, But I am thinking its better to go out and use all other available wifi.
Please think before you apply to their Wifi SCAM and tie you to an at least 1 YEAR contract.
I would have given the rating a 0 star but that is not an option unfortunately
What a ripoff. I bought the Internet on the Go hotspot at Walmart several years ago to use when I travel. The main reason I bought it was because the data GBs never expired. They changed the rules and if you don't use at least 1 mb every 60 days they take your balance to zero. I only bought this for travel, I don't need it at home. So I am out my purchase price plus what I paid for 4 GB of data.
Bought never expire GB's and the company changed the rules with no warning. Not sure where the representative was but only spoke broken english. Sent email to Customer Service with no reply. My device and service was perfect until this.
I had a perfectly good 3G hotspot. They lamed it so I could no longer use it. Forced me to buy a 4G hotspot. Somebody hacked it TWICE and stole over $80 of data. They just laughed and said they couldn't help me. No Hotspots are good hotspots. Stay Away from this company. Internet on the Go > is a No Go.
They told my 3 gb of data lying to me that I consumed it all, there isn't any american representatives it's all in south america and india. This is the worse service I have ever experienced in my 56 years on the planet. THIS SUCKS DON"T BUY
If I could give them negative stars I would. First, the hotspot was supposed to come with SIM card loaded and ready to go. I was told on multiple conversations this would happen. When the device arrived, the label on the box stated that the SIM card was pre-loaded. It was not. Then called support and was instructed to take the SIM card out of the card and install with the square corner to the left, metal side down. Did exactly that and the SIM card disappeared into the device? When I told the customer service rep, he stated: "I didn't tell you to put it in, you didn't make the correct size." Not true. Asked for a manager and he was rude and dismissive. Wouldn't make the situation correct my sending out another device. When asked why it wasn't pre-loaded he said "for that device, we cannot preload" and I asked then why does the label state it is? Tried to cancel and have had to call back to see where the return label is.
I order service with them on the 9th of October my device came in the mail on the 18th of October so I paid $35 for the device and $45 for the monthly service. Now I check my account and my card been charge on the 21st and the 22nd and I have one in progress for the 24th. I call them and they going to tell me I use the data so the system charge me because I use the data. It no way that I use that much data in one day and 2 days later be charged again this company is fake and a scam. Now I have to go to my bank about this because I never authorize these transactions back to back like this. God doesn't like ugly these people will get there's for destroying people money and wasting their time Promising a False dream.
Bought Internet on the Go for when I traveled. The card states "no expiration of megabytes" if used once a year. I fulfilled that requirement & then they changed the policy to once every two months. I did not meet that & my PAID FOR megabytes disappeared. They want you to use time just to log in even if you do not need the internet through them. SCAMMERS.
I had their service for over a year before getting back on ATT... ( That's another bad story...) Anyway, I had over $50.00 in data and went to use it after 2 weeks off and my data was gone... I got ahold of customer service and was told that I hadn't used my hotspot in over 30 days so I lost all my data... I pointed out that even on my account online it showed I had used the hotspot just 13 days ago... It was like talking to a stupid person and I lost it when they said they could nothing about it... I asked to talk to their supervisor but there was none there at the time... They took my account number and promised to have someone call me back, I'm still waiting! ( So don't hold your breath...) I started with this company because it was run by WALMART, I guess WALMART is out of the hot spot business... Like I said in the beginning I was with them for over a year and spent $100.00 a month on them and the system worked great, but like someone else said they changed their policy without any notification what's so ever... The only thing they will get from me any more is a bad review, online and in person to everyone I know... If WALMART has any say yet in this company they should get off *******@ss and make the customers happy, new & old!
First thing, I gave this horrible company 1 star because the website will not let me post this without giving a star rating. As you will read this company is so bad it deserves negative stars.
I purchased an Internet on the Go mobile hotspot in December. My problem began when I tried to register the device. Although I purchased the device directly from Internet on the Go, I could not register the device. The registration process locked up after I submitted my credit card information to purchase data as part of the device registration process. On the advice of their tech support I tried to register again and my card was charged for the data plan again. Their tech support tried to register the device and charged my card again. They eventually suggested I return the mobile hotspot. I'm still waiting for them to post one of the data plan refunds and the device refund on my credit card.
Every time I call customer service I'm placed on hold. I often hear that they can't help me at the moment because their computer is down. I'm asked to call back later.
This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I have disputed the credit card charges with the credit card company.
If you try to deal with this company I would suggest that you keep a copy of everything and note every time you call customer service. This information will be helpful when you try to get your money back.
UPDATE: I finally received a refund on the data plan charges in early March. I'm still awaiting the refund on the device.
Defective unit and very poor customer service. Took several phone calls to receive a label to return the unit.
After some initial setup problems, for which customer service was no help, I registered a credit card with them and set my account on auto refill. Service was acceptable for a while. Then they charged me $270 for 3GB! That's six $45 charges in one day, and they only gave me 3GB. They eventually refunded five of those charges, but I spent much time trying to resolve the situation, and I was unjustly deprived of the use of $225 of my money at a critical time.
I still continued with their service until the last 3 GB I bought for $45 only lasted about a week. I know I didn't use any more than usual during that time. 3GB usually lasts me 2 to 3 months. They gave me some phooey delayed billing explanation, but that doesn't fly, because if that were the case why would it not be delayed again so that I would have approximately the same amount of time as usual before needing to refill?
This constitutes a pattern of fraud, and they would not remove my credit card. I had to have my credit card canceled and reissued to avoid further fraud from them. Avoid at all costs!
Answer: They did the same thing to me. Keep track of every call. I would contact the credit card company and contest the charges. You should consider returning your modem and getting your money back. This is a bad company. The best thing to do is cut your losses and find a reputable company to deal with.
Answer: This is a bad company. I would suggest contacting your credit card company and contesting the charges as being fraudulent. There are other companies which offer free or pay as you go internet connectivity. Internet on the Go is a bad company.
