I am very excited about the product, but was extremely disappointed in the customer service and shipping aspect of the company. If you are a residential purchaser and delivery to a residence, it is an extra charge. Also, as a residential customer, ours went through a different shipping process which was not at all fast as advertised and touted all over the insulation4less site. We based our order on the information off the website and reviews and product arrived much later than expected. Not a good experience at all trying to track down where our shipment was and when it would ever be delivered.
While I worked construction 35 years ago as a teenager, neither my wife nor I have ever installed insulation.
The actual install went very smoothly, our teenage daughter helped putting down the dual sided tape and running glue.
The install went very smoothly, we got all this done in an afternoon.
It looks great, it was easy, and I can't wait to work out in the shop this winter.
Response to initial enquiry was direct and informative. Material and delivery was as indicated on website. Installation was easy. I tested the thermal efficacy with a thermal gun and it does significantly insulate the garage door on which I installed it. Do be careful, however, on how much you order. Measure carefully. I ended up getting more than I needed, but am using the excess elsewhere.
WARNING! Do not order from this sight. They have a number to call for customer service, you have to leave a message or email. I have a shipment that is lost that was shipped from insulation4less.com I have a very hard time communicating threw emails on a lost shipment, then when I received and answer they told me its on it way? Still didn't come. I reached out again to the seller and they told me they did everything right and that it was the shippers fault. I have been getting a big circle jerk. When I asked for a refund they refused and that I am wrong? Also has delayed my job very bad company, they don't respect clients I still have not resolved this issue, So people take your chances and hopefully you wont get burned like I did!
Facts:
1. He placed order on October 11. He submitted the negative review on October 23 - it became public on October 25. HIs review was submitted 8 business days from his order date. Our shipping page and the order confirmation email state: “LTL shipments typically arrive in 8 business days.
2. His shipment is not lost. The shipper routed it to the a terminal that does not serve his delivery area. We communicated with the customer on Oct 18, 20, 22 and 23. The communication of October 23 read:
"Note from the shipper:
I am working with Old Dominion and with National Delivery to have this picked up and moved asap. If all goes as planned for pickup today, freight should be delivered by Thursday the latest. I apologize for the delay and issues this has caused but know we are diligently working on getting shipment moved out for delivery.”
Facts do not require hyperbole.
Very fast delivery, and the product appears to be everything the Co. States it is. I just installed it on my walls in my ranch house metal building, and ordered more for the ceiling - Will have to wait on the summer heat - 95 deg to really see how well it does. Will give another survey later. Thanks
So far, all I have to say is great things about Insulation4Less. They have delivered a top quality product, and one shipping problem was solved very fast as far as I'm concerned. Their product is going to work well in my building, and I would highly recommend them.
I have seen this type of insulation for sale in Home Depot and Ace Hardware, but nothing close to the quality offered by Insulation 4 Less. Also, it is much less expensive than the hardware stores.
I will reorder soon because I found so many other uses for this product that I do not have enough to finish my RV anymore. This may be the sort of product that is simply useful to have on-hand. Great Stuff.
The radiant barrier insulation these guys sell is second to none.
After installing it in our home between our electric and our gas bill we dropped around $70 in the first month (this was about a year and a half ago) and the bills have never gone back up to where they once were. Our 7 bedroom 2500sf house was killing us on AC in the summer, now the heat just doesn't penetrate the house anymore. In fact our upstairs was unusable on hot days without the AC on and now its tolerable with an occasional 15 cooling. This product does what it says.
However...
The problem with the site is not what they sell but how they market it. They will run a sale for buy 1 get 1 free but then turn around and double the price during the promotion. So they are very dishonest in that regard. I have noticed also that the price of their products an shipping keep climbing higher and higher since we installed it. So in hind-site sign up for there emails and monitor the pricing.
We installed this insulation in a new metal building last fall. It was easy to work with and easy to install on the walls. The ceilings not so much just because of the need to work over your head etc. This fall we have torn down the ceiling insulation and paid to have spray foam put in the ceiling. We could not keep the building warm and when we did get it warm, we had dripping from condensation. I asked for help and they did let me know that somehow we did not have all the holes filled and air was getting in from the outside. I'm sure they were right, but we were not able to fix this problem. I would say over all we are very disappointed in this insulation. I read all the reviews and everyone was so positive so I felt I needed to add a real life fail. Hopefully they will keep this review on the site for future people to read.
95% complete.
Crawlspace in the northeast.
From sill to sill. Sealed with zip tape.

Crawl space temperature is 57°
Note; no heat in crawl space
The floors are much warmer.
It is working, I am a satisfied customer. MB 1-4-2022
I purchased 4 rolls of this product and have installed 3 rolls with no issue. Unfortunately, the last roll is separating and flaking apart. I contacted customer service and was told that this roll must have been exposed to moisture and there was nothing they could do for me. I assured them this product has been stored in an enclosed garage since we purchased it in sept 2016. They responded that it had been too long since our purchase for them to do anything for us. So if you are building and not going to use this product right away DO NOT PURCHASE! They do not stand behind their product.
Summary of case:
1. Customer did not install insulation for over 8 months.
2. Insulation left if plastic packaging.
3. Insulation was exposed to moisture - The moisture was trapped in plastic packaging - The insulation was not allowed to dry.
This issue does not occur after insulation is installed. Proof of the accuracy of this statement is the fact that you will not find more than one or two such a cases reported anywhere (This review site, reviews posted on product pages the BBB etc.). Any reported case includes the following common facts: Insulation was not installed for at least 6 months and the insulation was left in plastic packaging. The consumer may not be aware of the moisture being trapped in the plastic packaging. The moisture can enter via small tears in plastic packaging.
Details of case:
September 10,2016 Order placed
June 17,2017 Customer wrote: " I ordered 3 rolls of insulation back in September 2016. I just got around to installing the last roll and the radiant barrier is falling off the insulation along one side of the roll. Can you contact me back on a resolution.
June 17,2017 Reply from I4L: " Unfortunately your issue has to do with the storage of the material. The insulation was stored in area with moisture at some point in the last 8 months. The moisture was not allowed to dry (product still in plastic bag)."
Ordering was smooth and great, just like it's supposed to be. Can't wait to actually have product installed... if it's anything like ordering, I've hit a home run!... 4 stars just bcs. Product hasn't been installed yet.
Needed extra product on a job, asked for expedited shipping. They shipped within a day, but after 3 weeks I still don't have my product.
Facts:
1. Order placed on August 27th, delivered on September 11th - That's 11 business days. NOT 3 weeks!
2. NOWHERE on our website does it state we can expedite LTL shipping!
Unfortunately, businesses are forced to respond to blatant and easily provable falsehoods.
Easiest install of the Prodex+ product and no protective clothing needed. Product is lightweight and easy to work with. I'm not even done and my air conditioner makes it colder in here than it's even set for.
Easiest insulation I have ever used. No protective clothing needed. Goes In quickly and is amazing. Will never use any other insulation again. Thank you Prodex and insulation 4 less.
This co is selling a product they claim on their site to be R-22 Do not Believe this its actually less then 2 I wanted to send it back as it was delivered ant my expense and they said no returns. Also they said good luck disputing the credit card payment. Completely unprofessional. And misleading advertisement
The following will help you understand Mr. Kevin Perron. He sent us the following email when we asked him to show us where we misrepresented something: “I have a better idea anyway. Eat a $#*! See ya online.” His disgusting language was edited by this website.
Ironic, his use of the term “unprofessional”.
What value is a review disputing an R-value if the review fails to support its claim?
What value is a review from someone that has NOT used the product?
Unlike fiberglass and cellulose, we link all values posted to the parameters of the testing. We’re more transparent than other insulation types. Mr. Perron is merely regurgitating propaganda from “wolves in sheep clothing” (disguised pitchmen that host blog sites pretending to be energy experts).
The following information is supported and can be easily verified with a google search:
“The parameters of the R-value test for fiberglass and cellulose insulation involve no moisture or wind. Even in the desert there is humidity. All buildings and houses leak air and water. Water vapor from the atmosphere, showers, cooking and even breathing move back and forth through the walls and ceiling. Those of you in humid areas may lose half of your R-value with fiberglass or cellulose insulation.” For more see page: https://www.insulation4less.com/insulation4lesstechnicalarticles-267-reflective-insulation-fact-vs-fiction.aspx
I usually don't write a review before I get the product. But that's the problem. Between Insulation 4less and the trucking firm I have yet to receive my product. When they tried to deliver the product it was not what I ordered and while the trucker was here his dispatch called and said the wrong order was shipped to me and bring it back in. I reached our to Customer service with Insulation4Less and all the would do email me. What's wrong with making a call and let me know what's going on. To find out any thing I had to email them as they would never follow up. Here it's been over a week and I have yet to get my order. They are good at taking your money but not helping when an issue comes up. I hope I get my stuff someday. I would suggest finding this insulation from another supplier.
I don't know why they need your order number when you write a review as they don't contact you anyway. Customer Service is the worst I have ever seen.
Facts:
Order placed on April 9.
Order delivered on April 24 – Only 3 business days more than the website states is the typical delivery time for LTL shipments. When you consider the fact that this was an order that had to be rerouted due to a shipper's error, that’s impressive.
Our customer service responded immediately to ALL his emails. If he disputes this fact we will provide email evidence of response times.
We provide facts minus hyperbole. Our facts are backed up by a written record.
In regards to his complaints about having to email. In today’s world of “alternate facts” a vendor is well served to have a written record of what occurred and when.
Great product works as advertised, installs easily, difference is noticed as installation proceeds, no mess, and virtually no waste. I installed this in a 60 x 40 x12 steel building by myself in one day. Will be purchasing more for several other projects. BTW price shipping and customer service were fantastic.
This is a horrible company to deal with. When I questioned the shipping charges I get a rude, unprofessional response and am berated like a villain. The customer service responded with this quote verbatim " You agreed to the brief easy to understand terms - period. If you didn't like the terms you shouldn't have purchased. That's how adults proceed. We will block your email address. We won't see any more of your responses. Your adolescent opinion has become tiresome. Grow up. The terms of purchase were buried in some obscure tab in fine print and included no returns for any reason including damaged or incorrect product. So once they get your money you are toast with this company and they will dump you like a lead balloon. BEWARE and don't buy from this company.
FACTS:
1. He agreed to the charges twice in the shopping cart. Then after his order shipped, he wrote the following:
"CANCEL this order as I don't want to deal with your outrageous prices."
2. Our terms of purchase are NOT “obscure tab in fine print”.
In addition to the Terms of Purchase being DISPLAYED IN FULL (no scrolling required) in the shopping cart, you’ll find the Terms on the bottom left of EVERY PAGE of the website:
"To speed up delivery, processing of your order is immediate. Labels are printed instantly and orders can be loaded on to trucks in a few minutes. We are not able to cancel or modify an order once loaded onto a truck because it is almost impossible to find your insulation rolls on a truck full of identical insulation rolls. These are OVERSIZED shipping items. We do not get a special return shipping rate. Our pricing structure does not include the costs of return shipping, restocking and administrative fees associated with return requests. All orders are final. No refunds will be granted. We do not guaranty a delivery date and are therefore not responsible for costs associated with a project delay. If you are concerned with any application, please consult your contractor or code official prior to purchase. Please make sure you have selected the product and quantity that best meets your needs.
3. The Terms DON'T state, nor can any company make you pay for wrong or damaged products. No credit card provider wouldn’t honor such a charge.
4. We have an “A+” BBB rating and and excellent rating on this site for a reason - Obviously, we live up to our agreements. It’s unfortunate that some consumers don’t feel they need to live up to theirs :(
The education on what to buy, your website, the ordering and the arrival was all wonderful! The installation went extremely well! I'm a 45 year old non-athletic single woman and I did my entire un-floored attic rafters over my bedroom, April 550 sq feet. (Yes I measured) With my order of 700 sq feet I was able to add some up the sides. I used a roll of foil tape and lots of staples and was thrilled at the results! It's not too cold yet here in central PA but I am confident in the product and application. The price couldn't be beat either btw! Thank you!
I received the garage door kit within 3 days of my order. It was nicely wrapped and included: installation instructions, Prodex insulation, double sided tape and reflective tape; all of which were cited on their website: www.insulation4less.com. Nice product, easy to work with and clean look when finished. Their sales department was easy to contact and they quickly returned a reply.
