THIS COMPANY WILL RIP YOU OFF!
February 8, 2023

BUYER BEWARE! Would rate a 0 if possible.

I am currently in a chargeback dispute against Insulatio4less.com for misrepresentation of product and fraudulent claims in an attempt to enforce "terms of purchase" stated by merchant. I filed a complaint filed with BBB with no resolution.

At 10:01am on Jan 17,2023 I placed an order online with Insulation4less.com for (5) rolls of White Prodex 5M Plus insulation. After placing my order, I learned that the product ordered was not as marketed on their website. The merchant states the product has an R-value of 15.3 when in fact the true R-value is 1. Product is made from a cheap mylar material (same as a metalized potato chip bag) that will apart in short time.
At 10:44am on Jan 17,2023 I sent an email to the merchant requesting a cancellation of my order, only 43 mins after I had initially placed order. I was then given multiple rude and blanket responses about their terms of purchase. Their terms of purchase clearly states that ORDERS CAN NOT BE MODIFIED OR CANCELLED ONCE LOADED ONTO A TRUCK. The owner claimed the order had already been loaded onto a truck to be shipped before I attempted to cancel the order. This claim from the merchant will prove to be a fraudulent as detailed below.
At 2:24pm on Jan 18,2023 I received their response to a complain filed with the Better Business Bureau. The merchant states "This person requested cancellation of his order AFTER the order was loaded on to a truck 53' truck full of identical rolls of insulation." I requested from the freight company the Bill of Lading, signed by the owner of Insulation4less and the freight driver, that shows/proves four things. (1) Insulation4less did not load my order onto a 53' foot truck as stated just minutes after placing my order. (2) The driver for Daylight Transport was the person who loaded my order onto his transport truck the following day at 1:47pm on Jan 18,2023. (3) Tracking shows that Insulation4less did put the request for pick up until 6:16am Jan 18,2023. (4) My order was not picked up or shipped until 1:47pm Jan 18,2023. This is 27 hours after the initial request for cancellation. Their fraudulent statement is an attempt to force me to pay for their product, or pay an outrageous restocking fee. Their terms of purchase states "We are not able to cancel or modify an order once loaded onto a truck because it is almost impossible to find your insulation rolls on a truck full of identical rolls." So why was my order not cancelled at the time of my request when clearly the truck had NOT been loaded yet. The freight company also verified my order was the only oder picked up at that time.
I will be refusing receipt of this order. I do not wish to have any ongoing relationship with or purchase from a company who (1) lies about their product (2) lies about when they load their trucks in an attempt to justify their terms of purchase (3) utilizes scare tactics and threats in order to force a customer into an order, after that customer clearly communicates they wish to cancel that order (4) does not honor warranty claims against their product as evident on countless independent reviews.
Look at the other poor reviews that others have posted about Insulation4less.com and the way this company responds to customer concerns. What kind of business berates and slanders customers on a public site instead of trying to resolve concerns. They are very unprofessional and no absolutely nothing of the concept of proper customer service. Save your frustration and money. There are other companies that have a better product and are transparent about what and how they sell.

Tip for consumers:

Don't do business with Insulation4less

BUYERS BEWARE! - COMPLETE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE
October 10, 2016

I ordered two rolls of insulation on 10:30 Thursday morning which is well before the 3:00 PM deadline they clearly state "Same Day Shipping" on the website. I am in the DFW area so I know FedEx is only 1-day transit and I needed the insulation by Saturday to install it over the weekend. Friday morning I requested tracking information and was told to expect an email later that day which would have it. Clearly that meant that they failed to ship it the same day but I was never told this piece of information. Later that day I received tracking information which would have been ok if the shipped the insulation FedEx Home Delivery (Delivers Tuesday - Saturday) as I paid an additional $9.00 for. Instead, they shipped it FedEx Ground (Delivers Monday - Friday) which is where the problem lies. The insulation is now scheduled for Monday delivery which is too late for my schedule and the www.insulation4less.com customer service is through email only and lacks any resemblance of professionalism. I asked to cancel the order based on their shipping mistake and was immediately threatened with return shipping, restocking fees, etc. They continued to reference the terms and conditions that all sales are final based on "Labels are printed instantly and orders can be loaded on to trucks in a few minutes. We are not able to cancel or modify an order once loaded onto a truck because it is almost impossible to find your insulation rolls on a truck full of identical insulation rolls." These are their words, not mine so I am unsure how tracking information took more than 24-hours to generate or how they mislabeled it Ground vice Residential if it is automated as they tell us. In Kathy's last email to me, I was told "You fail to understand what our other customers comprehend. We will not respond further." I ask you, what is not to understand about SAME DAY Shipping or charging me an additional fee for Residential delivery and failing to provide either service?

In response to Insulation-4-Less' comments on 11 October 2016: They are either misinformed or consciously trying to mislead customers. In my opinion, if you are in the business, you should understand the shipping policies of the carrier you chose to represent your business, especially if you are charging additional fees based on these policies. FedEx Ground is delivery to businesses and runs Monday-Friday. FedEx Home Delivery, for which they charged me an additional $9.00 runs Tuesday - Saturday and there is not a weekend delivery up-charge. Feel free to visit http://www.fedex.com/us/service-guide/choose-service/package-shipments/us-packages.html for all the details where this is CLEARLY ILLUSTRATED "STANDARD SATURDAY DELIVERY: FedEx Home Delivery delivers packages on Saturdays, 2 days earlier than UPS Ground, which doesnt deliver until Monday."

With plans in hand to build a 4,600+ sq' custom designed...
November 18, 2014

With plans in hand to build a 4,600+ sq' custom designed barn the last thing I wanted was a beautiful barn with the constant condensation drip that goes with metal roofing/siding and temperature changes. I've seen way too many barns, outbuildings and commercial buildings that have structural water damage and staining and/or rust as well as damp interiors and damage or degradation to stored items like hay, tack and tools from the regular drip of condensation. I couldn't find a product that had the qualities or guarantees I wanted until I stumbled across Prodex insulation during an internet search. It seemed to have all the qualities I was looking for so I took the plunge and ordered enough 72" Prodex to do the entire building shell, 7200 sq' plus the recommended tape. It's easy to handle and installed easily. It's also a tough material and didn't blow off in the wind if I didn't get the metal on it immediately. I believe it has helped to keep the interior of my building significantly cooler than it would have been otherwise and I have had none of the condensation issues I've seen elsewhere. I will recommend it be installed in every barn, outbuilding or similar project I build and have even been asked for an installation quote by someone with an unprotected barn to remove their roofing and siding and re-install the metal over Prodex after they saw how well this recent project performed. I waited a while to post this review so I could see how it performed through the summer/fall/winter temperature changes and it has exceeded my expectations in every regard.

In addition to the great product at what I now feel is a very reasonable price for how it performs, I also got excellent customer service when I needed it most. I found the product while the project was under way when I had to replace another substrate material I was sold by the metal roofing company. A close review of the warranty information for the rolled good they provided showed it to be improper and unsuitable for my type of construction. It's warranty information said it could only be installed over sheet goods and I already had purlin/strapping style framing 2' on center mostly installed. I returned it improper material, initiated my internet search then decided on, and ordered, the Prodex. The insulation shipped same day and arrived quickly but some of the material was significantly damaged by the trucking company during transportation. As this barn was going to be the site of a large wedding reception, the project delivery date was absolutely inflexible and a lot of people would be disappointed if the project wasn't complete on time. Kathy at I4L immediately saw to it that the damaged product was replaced via FedEx within just a few days so my job's progress wasn't slowed down in the least. We finished on time and delivered the building to the bride and groom for their finishing touches with a few days to spare thanks to Kathy and her prompt attention to my service needs. I am a 100% satisfied Customer/Owner/Builder.

Tip for consumers:

The insulation4less website is self serve without a call center for the most part but not to worry, Additional service, if needed, is excellent. Order with confidence.
