Hello, i currently have a vaulted ceiling with r-19 fiberglass insulation in between the 2 x 8 x 24" o. c. i will be re-roofing soon by removing the existing cedar shakes and leaving the 1 x 6 spaced sheathing, i am considering placing prodex insulation atop the existing 1 x 6 sheathing and then top nailing 4 x 8 sheets of osb to sandwich the prodex between the 1 x 6 and the 1/2" osb. do you see any problem with this application? thanks, ben (530) 979-0487

Question:

I have installed a french drain in my basement and the dimpled drainage board is extended up above the floor slab. the block wall is still moist. i have already purchased prodex insulation can i install it on a moist wall and place behind the dimpled board so any moisteur would weep down into the french drain

I honestly don't know. It is used on garage doors and water heaters, I would try it.

I would like to insulate my 170ext sprinter cargo van. what do your recommend? do i put smaller pieces between the ribs then a contiguous layer on top of that? i found the sprinter page but could not find detailed instructions or quantities.

Question:

I have a metal building used as a barn. it will not ever be sealed against weather. i just want to eliminate condensation forming on the interior metal ceiling and creating rain. roof is already in place over 2x6 framework. is prodex still the best product attached to the underside of the studs?

How accurate is the r value... im interested in purchasing over 10,000 sq ft of the 48" x 175' taped rolls but need to confirm the r value and prove it to my building dept to get an approval to use it for my metal framed metal building. can anyone help?

Everything posted on the website is accurate. Please click any R-value for the parameters of the testing and regulation. Please also email sales@Insulation4Less.com for a more complete response including a technical pdf that may be helpful with your building department. Provide the width, length and height of building.
