Interview process
January 2, 2020

The instacart interview process seems pretty easy but once arriving and going through the interview and getting the job I was then turned away due to not meeting the age requirement when the job description stated you only need to be 18. Wasted an hour an a half just to be turned away.

Terrible service
December 30, 2019

This service used to be excellent. Now it is TERRIBLE. I have had several poor experiences from orders cancelled for no reason to missing an item. I took a break for a while and came back to see if they improved. They have not. Tonight, my order arrived 30 minutes before the earliest scheduled time I requested. So, I had to race home when I received the notification that they were on there way. Then, they only delivered half of my order. The driver was long gone by the time I realized it and customer service is impossible to get ahold of. They have no problem taking your money immediately but can't be bothered to handle problems in a timely manner.
NEVER AGAIN!

They overcharged our card one with the initial sign up cost and then again with one of our orders. Their customer service is terrible. Sketchy seems like a good to describe this company.

I will try to keep this short and sweet. I gave specific instructions where to deliver my groceries when I placed the online order. It came an hour late. My email told me it was delivered, but it wasn't at my door. He delivered it around the front where I could not retrieve it. When I called customer service, she tried her best but could not get the driver to come back and deliver where he was supposed to, or get me any kind of refund for groceries I paid for but could not access. I had to walk out in the road at 10:00 at night with my walker and painfully get my groceries. I only used this service while I was out of commission and they were of no help at all. As a matter of fact, I would have been better off tipping a friend to do this THE RIGHT WAY, NOT THE INCONSIDERATE WHO CARES ABOUT THE CUSTOMER way. I certainly hope they were able to remove the tip that I had to pay for before the goods were even delivered.

For an unknown reason Instacart cancelled my Christmas Day meal order from one store, the "main portion of my holiday meal" then after asking for help a foreigner read me a scripted answer and my account was shut down to investigate. Meanwhile I attempted to reorder my account is frozen for suspicious international activity - duh! Instacart outsources the customer service OVERSEAS! Really? Instacart you RUINED MY CHRISTMAS MEAL PLANS!

Let it be put on record that I am not a member of Instacart never used instacart for years and will not use Instacart. Instacart got away with charging me 2 years of membership that I never enlisted in and they continue to send me emails and harass me. They do not deal with Amex or Discover because these are the companies that will back you in a dispute. Visa and any other card will not. They will charge you regardless of cancellations. Be warned - They are a Fraud

Horrible customer service
December 20, 2019

I did a trial for free delivery and after my trial was over I canceled. I was charged for a subscription of $99 anyway and when I called to have that removed they did it no problem but the money would not be back into my account for 5 to 10 business days and this is right before Christmas. When I called about this I was told that it was the bank and there was nothing that they could do and offered no other form of compensation. I have deleted my account and will not longer use this company.

Ok so i found out about instacart today. Pretty much free to try so i figured why not. Signed up, made an order to m&m for $300. Tracked and arrived fine. Decided to try with the superstore. Well, instacart cancelled that as suspicious. I could not log back in with the password that had previously worked and was stored in my iphone password lists. Got an email about resetting. Through my multiple attempts to sign on the message varied between bad email and bad password. Finally found a number to call and the guy said the account was frozen and their fraud team would be in touch for more information. Ok so now my fraud radar was pinging. They'd send me an email with links asking for information. Signing up didn't ask a lot of info and payment was apple pay so what other information would they want. I told him to cancel the account and i wanted an email confirming the cancellation. Said the fraud team would get me that - yeah. Went to hang up and i couldn't! It was like one of those fraud calls that stay on the line when you go to call the authorities and pretend to be them! My phone looked like i could call out but i could still hear him. He eventually hung up and i called a number i know to make sure of the disconnect. Might be a legit service but so are gas stations and credit card fraud and theft is high at them! So buyer beware!

Don't use insta cart

I ordered insta cart from Food universe they gave me sardines instead of Ackee. To add insult to injury Costco charged me 38$ to have a 12$ box of beef patty's delivered so angry never again HORRIBLE! Please save yourself a head ache and don't use

I've used instacart twice, once for my work and once myself. For my work it was supposed to be delivered between 5 and 6 and wasn't delivered until 6:30 so of course nobody was there when the order arrived. I had to wait until the next day late afternoon to get my items, they wouldn't let me pick up the order from the store the next morning. Bad experience.
Second time I used instacart me and my son were both sick and I didn't want to run to the store so I ordered groceries on instacart. I was immediately charged $180 twice for my $150 one time order. This was on a Saturday, on Monday the two charges were still pending in my bank account and I had no money to use in the meantime. So here I sit with no money in my checking because Instacart charged me twice.

RIP Off

I had used Instacart twice before with no issue, the last time was the wknd befoe Thanksgiving. Which I never received my groceries yet they took the $71 out of my acct and I never received a refund to this day. I highly NO NOT RECOMMENDED THIS COMPANY

Never again!

Delivery was suppose to arrive at 5:40 and 6:30 we complained to Instacart and it appeared our groceries were delivered to some other address! Delivery person never returned calls or texts! Instacart said groceries were delivered elsewhere and deliveryperson has not returned calls either to the company. Will find out tomorrow. 92 dollars better be refunded!

Driver CALLED and told me she was on the way and NEVER should up also said that "Instacart gone have to give her more money" I had a lot of groceries but she could have asked me to meet her or anything but she canceled the order and took my food from me and my family I spent $208 on food and Instacart customer service gave me the run around and I do not have another $208 to spent on food for family this is the worst COMPANY ever never use Instacart and I tip her on the app and she never showed up. CONTACT ME INSTACART!

Do not use instacart! Your credit cards will be unsafe. I had many fraudulent charges to my credit card - by instacart only. People are able to access your private financial information from their unsafe site.

Messed up orders. Horrible customer service, unable to communicate w them due to language barrier. I've had to ask for refunds a few times to messed up orders. I have to call customer service at least 4 times before the money is refunded. They charge more than what the Instacart website shows. If you call, they tell you they charge more than the store price. I tell them I understand that but the Instacart website should show the correct price. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR $!

Instacart screwed me
December 12, 2019

I was a shopper for instacart
Did a big batch, and the app crashed at checkout,
I took my own efforts outside the app which is totally down to get customer address and made the delivery
The next day the supervisor Rachelda at Instacart refuses to make things right with a bunch of excuses and nonsense, basically as a shopper your a number and can go kick rocks,

Instacart pretty coldblooded

Never got paid for my time and work and that was that

Troubles at Instacart Grocery Delivery Service
I've been a subscriber to Instacart for several months and while it's convenient having groceries delivered to my home, the unprofessional, rude and often hostile deliverers have led me to cancel my account. Today, the deliverer insulted the $5 tip that I had given him, adding some additional negative comments about "how rude I was" by being so cheap. Done with Instacart.
