There was no problem entering my order; however, it has been 2 days and no sign of order. I ordered through bjs, but only select items are available for order. Called instacart customer service and was told my wait time was more than 109 minutes. Not worth the effort. Also, they are a third party provider. No relation to bjs
On march 12,2020 I received an email that my acct was to be reactivated. I called and explained to them that I was unaware that I had been paying for the $99 subscription all year long (since March 13,2019). I explained I had only used it 4 or 5 times the whole year and I was under the impression that I had paid for each delivery individually. The man I spoke with was nice and told me that he would cancel the subscription for the new year and also give me a refund for the $99. I have waited around 3 weeks and have received no refund. So I have waited on hold for 2 days for a total of 7 and a half hours to get a hold of someone. They will not work with me at all. I am getting no refund and they wont even credit me any time at all. I explained I am not trying to take advantage, I had no idea any of this happened. It's not like I used the service every day or even every week. And then try to get a refund. I literally used the service 4 or 5 times over the course of a year. I have received no understanding or compassion from this company and I will absolutely not be using their company anymore. I wish I could give them 0 stars.
I was charged for only part of my groceries. I don't understand how people have contact with their shopper -- mine did whatever they wanted, charged me for everything and only gave me half of my purchase and no contact not even a receipt. If they don't have the item, that's fine just be honest with what you are scanning. I didn't mind that they were late even, take your time. But I had substituted items that were not listed on my order on the computer. I was on the phone for 3 hours waiting for my call in line and the kept increasing the time.
Seriously how is your his company even in business. It's utterly horrible. Can't get a pick up date. Can't reach anyone in customer service. I'm glad I've figured this out sooner
I ordered from Wegmans which I mostly do my shopping. When I got my order, I realized they charged me for 4 items which I didn't have. Then, they charged me for two items 4 times more because the one I paid was large and they gave me the small with twice as much. I called them 3 times, the first time, time estimate was 45 minutes. When 45 min was almost over the system said: "your estimate time is 355 minutes"! Second time I called, The same and for third time they didn't even answered my phone. PLEASE WAIST YOUR MONEY AND TIME.
We cannot go to the grocery store at this time as we are quarantined returning from another country. Our order arrived. It was NOT our order. It was someone else's order. We asked that it be picked up, cancel our original order and refund our order. It has been over 8 hours, 4 messages, with no response except to say they received our message. We have a bag on floor ready to be picked up, and a bill that far exceeds what we received. Not to mention I now have a bag of food that needs cleaning due to the virus. This is disgusting. AND we don't have our necessary food. ROBBERY by Instacart! ROBBERY!
I had Jessica B as a shopper for my order for Shaw's grocery store, Hooksett, NH. She was nice enough to text me as she was shopping for me to alert me to substitutions, etc. I specifically left directions for the order to be left at my apartment door on the 2nd floor. I am an older woman and going up and down stairs can sometimes be a challenge for me. Instead I get a text from her AFTER she dumps my order in the apartment building's foyer downstairs and just leaves it there.
Missing 60.00 worth of items from a 279.00 order. I had an extra item that I recieved and missing 7 frozen pizza's that I was charged for. When I called the young girl back she said that she had to call INSTACART for a credit but no one was answering. 12.00 mandatory tip and 12.00 service charge and 3.95 shopping fee. DON'T DO IT.
Worst company will not deliver your groceries may deliver to somebody or employees take it home, you have to pay
The delivery was sheduled 7 days ahead. However, after one week + 1 day I have not received any notification. After day 8th Instacart sent me email stating that delivery was postponed for another week.
They substituted items that we did not want (Kellogg's All Bran for Wheaties), substituted more expensive items without our consent, left the groceries on the door step with no notice or receipt, and overcharged us by $40.00+. I have attempted to contact them three different times by email, and once on the phone, and after 45 minutes of waiting, I gave up. I have heard nothing from them whatsoever. Their customer service is non-existent and they are essentially thieves! I will NEVER do business with them again. I have taken this up with my credit card company.
Great concept during these covid miserable days, so despite bad reviews, thought we'd give it a shot. One thing that really pissed me off. If let's say your groceries are $200, without asking or telling you, they hit your account for an extra fifty bucks (in case you add anything?! Or substituted items are more?) - with elders living so carefully, how dare they? Maybe that fifty dollars was in their account for their prescription, or a bill payment already scheduled, or gas to whatever! They did that to me! How did they assume I had an extra forty bucks in my account? Who said I ever agree to that? How is that legal? My order hasn't come yet, it's going to take four days - and I've heard canceling and getting your money back is impossible!
We paid $30,00 for a $53.00 delivery from a store a mile away. They refused to resolve the issue. No
I am having trouble with shoppers using a smaller, small town Price Chopper, rather than shopping at the store near my house. The selection is poor, and I am never aware until most of my items are either not available, or subsituted. I realize with the Cova 19 out there, its now harder to get everything on my list. But my local store is still stocked much better than the one 15 min away. ALSO, shoppers will pick up my order, mark them as being shopped, but 5 hrs or more later, someone else finally starts my shopping. BAD Communication.
3/30/2020 I was charged $2.99 for sourdough bread. It did not arrive with the order. I can not find the pathway on their web site to report this.
Used insta cart at Publix. Did not get my full order but was charged for items. Tried to contact them but unable to get threw to them for a week. Stay away from this.
I used this company for the first and last time this week. I just wanted a few items from BJs. I was getting text from the shopper saying they didn't have any of my items (which was only 4). One of the items I wanted was toilet paper. He said in one of his text they were out, but then it was magically delivered to me at 9:35pm at night. However, my family and I were up well past this time and no one ever delivered anything to us. Then we get charged for the item, delivery, tax and I had already included a tip. You can send an email or go to a support site to get this resolved. If you try to call their help line, it says there is a wait for over 2 hours. It is a joke. Don't use this company.
So, first time instacart user. When I placed my order on 3/30 I thought I was going to have to wait until 4/4. Get a text on 3/30 saying good news, your order will arrive by 3:00pm. Really, wow. Going back and forth with the shopper all afternoon so I think I'm good. Then I get a text saying shopper en route. Their website says in-transit. A few hours pass and I ask when will the driver be here. He finally texted back saying "I don't have your order, you cancelled it." What? Did not cancel. Never got food. Should have checked the reviews first. And, they had the nerve to immediately put $75 pending on my credit card. Order was only for $50. It's still there and better disappear soon!
They delivered over $300.00 of groceries to the wrong address and never verified the receiver, who gladly accepted the multiple free items. Had to get the police involved. Customer service was a 2-hour wait on the phone. Terrible Service. Terrible Customer Service. Terrible Management.
Their shopper messed up on the time costco closed so my delivery didn't happen. The text link they sent to reschedule went nowhere. Tried to reschedule through my cart and there were no options available. So calked the "24/7 help line" was on hold for 4 hours. My original wait time given was 104 minutes. Every time the wait time was up dated more time was added. After 4 hours I was disconnected by this supposed 24/7 help line.
Answer: Instacart does not give you the sale prices from the store. So if the peanut butter is 3.50 on sale. Instacart will charge you 4.80 regular price. Their prices are all over the board but on average you are paying 20% more.
Answer: You can't! The only way I got a response from them was when they emailed me to rate my driver and I gave a bad review for her and Instacart. I got an email back. Otherwise, there is no Customer Service! I tried everything under the "Help" section and got nowhere!
Answer: Seriously? They have already scientifically proven that is not spread that way. How many strangers & kids and semi drivers and warehouse people touch your stuff before it even leaves the store.
Answer: No, they don't by policy. But I've found they don't deliver anything else either. Last two orders were cancelled. I dumped my account and told them to keep the gift card balance. Done with InstaCart.
