They rescheduled the delivery time 4 times in a row and at the very end just cancelled it. When you come to their website to reschedule the delivery it shows no available slots. The service like this doesn't deserve to be on the market.
Placed my first order several days ago for delivery today. Food never arrived. No customer service availability. Already cancelled my future order. Credit card already has a hold on my money
I know we are going through a crisis and I really wanted to give Instacart some slack but they messed up twice. The first shopping order, I was billed for items I never received, about 20 items. That is a lot to screw up. Second shopping order got delivered to the wrong house. I was on hold for 4 hours! And they disconnected me. Needless to say, never ever again.
If I could give zero stars I would. Insta cart does not even deserve 1 star. I have a charge on my card for 225.00 and 42.00 and no groceries. The driver delivered all my groceries to a red house with a white fence. I have a tan house with no fence at all and my number on my mail box. The app said delivered we said we have not received any groceries. She sent us her number and when we called her. That's when we found out she delivered to a red house. My husband found a red house with a white fence and the lady said she had no groceries. I spent over 5 hours on hold and sent two complaints online and got an email back that they would get back with me. That was yesterday and I've heard nothing back and still have no groceries delivered or charges taken off my card. The driver was not trained on what to do when she delivers to the wrong house and had no way to contact anyone at insta cart to let them know of the error. I've never had a driver deliver to the wrong house before so I've never had to deal with their customer service. After this incident I will never use them again and I will highly suggest against anyone using them
I understand that they have a flood of orders and they cannot meet the demand. They should not have allowed those orders to go through. They texted to deliver at 9 t0 9:30 PM yesterday but no news yet.
My order was placed through Publix.

So my wife order from them on the 28th. March. They said it would be delivered on the 30th. She got a notification the same day it was delivered already. WELL NOT TO OUR HOME. Still not sure we recieved $150. Worth of grocery. Unless the unnamed delivery person keep them. U never know these days. I am right now on hold. 3rd time keep hanging up on me. When I called this time I had a 51minute wait time. No. Lie they just got on the phone and told me I. Now have a 146minutes of wait time. ( INSTA THIEFS) AVOID AND USE A REAL FRIEND OR GET SCREWED AND HAVE YOUR MONEY TAKEN OR YOUR GROCERIES.
Delivery person seemed to have difficulty deciding which order is ours. Then left things that belonged to someone else. Spent several hours trying to rectify the problem. Email went unanswered. 2 hour Hold on telephone before being disconnected, and so on. Their call back got disconnected before I could talk to anyone. Total mess.
I placed a Costco order with Instacart which I had done before. The order was placed on March 24th with soonest delivery March 27th. I agreed to everything, placed order. Was very thankful for the service left shopper a $25.00 tip. The shopper contacted me while at Costco and then when they were on their way. I instructed them to leave on porch. My husband has some high risks factors. When bringing in the order I was missing a package of ribeye steaks costing $51.08. My order total was over $300. I had already agreed to pay higher price per item, paid delivery charge, and left a generous tip. I was not going to loose $51.08 in steaks. I had thought maybe my shopper would realize their mistake and drop them off. But no, I tried to call Instacart customer service was on hold for 4 hours then disconnected. I sent multi emails, filled out Instacart review stating I never received this item. No response. So I filed a dispute with my credit card deducting only the steaks not the whole order. How does Instacart respond? By suspending my account with them that I have had for 3 years. Photo is a screenshot of my landline phone on hold with Instacart for 3 hours 54 minutes. Then at 5:00pm my call was disconnected.
I placed the order on Wednesday for Friday in Northwest part of Washington, DC. On Friday, spent 45 minutes with the shopper approving replacements on the app. The shopper, Corine called my cell from a local number to inform me that she arrived to my building and was about to drop the groceries off in the lobby. I called the concierge who was in the lobby with a couple of the leasing office folks and asked them to accept the groceries. They told me groceries were never delivered and that they did not see any vehicles pulling in from of the main entrance. I immediately called Corine and texted her. Needless to say, she never answered. I informed Instacart via their app that the groceries were not delivered. I called the bank and disputed the transaction. I will file a theft report with the local police station. It was a pretty clever theft. It will be very easy for me to prove it as there are several cameras in front of the entrance door as well as the lobby. They will show that no groceries were dropped off. I will get my money back, but I am holding tears back as I am typing this as the groceries were for my elderly parent and she is very upset now and I have no back up plan on how to provide the groceries to an 83 y. O.
Like some others, we waited until 11:00 p.m. for a grocery delivery that never came, ordered a week before. (The store closed at 9:00 p.m. but the app kept updating the times.) Instead of keeping essentially my place in line and rescheduling for the following day, I was somehow rescheduled for a week later.
Of course, they don't respond to emails and I'm not willing to wait 156 minutes on the phone. Do they ever answer? Now, I have zero confidence that I'll ever receive the order.
Further, the schedule that is visible before placing an order is different from the one that pops up (usually "unavailable") after you've spent time shopping.
I understand this is an unusual situation, but this software needs to be fixed! We might be forced to use this company right now, but I suspect they will go out of business once we are no longer in a pandemic situation because they are soooo bad!
Used Instracart services twice so far, 1st time - $193 worth items from Wagmen, cut down to $31 worth items delivered, but they still charged service fees based on $193, in the end, $31 worth stuff, I paid over $22 fees. 2nd time - they charged $81.64 + fees/tips, but the actual shopper's receipt shows $71.35, if the over charged $10 goes into tip to the shopper/driver, I'm OK with it, but I think Instacart pocket the over charges. 3rd time, just ordered through Costco, and they use Instacart too, will see how much Instacart over charge this time.
My mom ordered Aldi using instacart on Monday, March 30. She has been rescheduled several times now. She was rescheduled to Wednesday evening. Then changed to late Wednesday, then to Friday afternoon and now Sunday! My parents can't get out as they are the vulnerable population. My mom has been unable to text the shopper, who apparently does not exist. She has tried changing her password to see if that would help, but it has not. I sent an email on her behalf last night, but found out this morning she could hardly sleep she is so upset. This is no way to treat a client. And there is no direct phone number that she can call the store. In the meantime, I discovered that a friend used Aldi instacart yesterday and got her groceries that same day. What is going on! I am so angry with instacart and Aldi right now!
I live in Lake Mary Florida, and due to the current pandemic I was trying to figure an easy way to have a small purchase of groceries delivered to my grandmother who lives in Orlando. So, I coworker suggested Instacart delivery from Publix. After doing a bit of research, I saw that the Instacart website states that - First Delivery is Free - which is essentially $7.99 off. Selecting your items can take a while, especially when half of the stuff is not even available. There is also a noticealbe mark-up on the prices, no problem.
Well, after picking up the items and all, I was being charged the $7.99 delivery fee at check out!
I tried calling the customer service number, but the wait-time was understandably too long. So, I wrote to the customer support email - *******@instacart.com - yet, I never got an answer. After browsing a bit more I noticed that the Instacart website offers Free Delivery, if you order $25 or a particular brand, so I went ahead and order $25 worth of Cliff Protein bars, and finally the delivery showed as FREE at check out. The total included a tip, and even though my purchase was about $60, instacart advised they put a $80 hold on your credit card... I was fine with that.
However, to my surprise, once I pressed submit and they charged my credit card, the next window showed a confirmation that included a $3.99 delivery charge WTH? So I just cancelled the stupid order right away.
These people are taking advantage of the situation, and a reputable company like Publix Supermarkets shouldn't be dealing with such scammers.
The shopper did not followed the instructions regarding the replacement items and ended up saying that gave my order to the wrong person and asked me to claim the company for refund. To report the issue I am over the phone for more than 4 hrs and still nobody pick up the phone
I checked my bank account for the debit before i tipped him $20 under the door, not having seen my groceries. I had already tipped online but wanted to be nice because delivery people are doing a hard job these days. So basically i paid $40 to have $55 worth of groceries delivered.
Our first use of instacart (thru the Fred Meyer app) two weeks ago went ok, aside from items not delivered. (Out of stock?)
Today, the order had quart s of milk (8) instead of half gallons.
Driver says " the app said quarts" call Fred's.
I call Fred's, "sorry, you have to speak to instacart" and gives me the wrong number. I call IC and, "151 minute wait time". Ok I get it, we're all busy. I try to go to IC online, and, no way to report a wrong item, cause, I didn't buy on the IC app, I bought on the Fred's app. WTF!
Not a real happy camper.
First order was not right and took forever to get it corrected. Since still in quarantine, tried again, once credit came through. This Second experience was much better, but still not sure if I'll use this route again. Nevertheless, wanted to give stars where due.
Instacart do not care about customers. I am waiting for my order 10 days and I don't know, can I receive it or not. No any email, calls, impossible to call them, because waiting time more than 2 hours. I will not use this service anymore.
I am so disgusted. I placed an order one week ago with Fresh Market. It was confirmed that I would have delivery on April 1 between 5-6 pm. I got a text confirming this. Then I got a text - running behind which is understandable -they'd deliver between 7:15- 7:45 Then a text saying between 8-8:30. Then another text saying between 9:30 - 10. I tried calling Instacart since the store claimed they could not do a thing. I was told it would be an hour wait on the phone. So I out it on speaker and waited. Towards the end of the hour, the recording let me know my new wait time would be 131 minutes at which point I hung up, almost breaking my phone. I got a text saying I could cancel or reschedule. I was going to reschedule but the text said if I rescheduled, the delivery would be no later than April 7th! Needless to say, I cancelled! Not only am I trapped in the house like everyone else is, but I also just had a full knee replacement so I can't go to the store if I wanted to. This is such a disgusting way to do business.
Answer: Instacart does not give you the sale prices from the store. So if the peanut butter is 3.50 on sale. Instacart will charge you 4.80 regular price. Their prices are all over the board but on average you are paying 20% more.
Answer: You can't! The only way I got a response from them was when they emailed me to rate my driver and I gave a bad review for her and Instacart. I got an email back. Otherwise, there is no Customer Service! I tried everything under the "Help" section and got nowhere!
Answer: Seriously? They have already scientifically proven that is not spread that way. How many strangers & kids and semi drivers and warehouse people touch your stuff before it even leaves the store.
Answer: No, they don't by policy. But I've found they don't deliver anything else either. Last two orders were cancelled. I dumped my account and told them to keep the gift card balance. Done with InstaCart.
