Rip off

It is by far the worst out there. It lures you to order whatever you want and then it rushes you in a half an hour period to constantly replace your orders and also puts orders on their website that for fact they know its not available and the shopper person cancels them immediately. The shopper also doesn't care at all, which is understandable based on the foundation of the business.

AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL

On April 14, my Instacart account faced a major security breach. More than $4,000 in charges were racked up in less than three hours. The first one ($1,200) I saw and canceled immediately. The rest, I didn't see until later in the day. Immediately, I called, emailed and sent online messages to Instacart. I heard nothing. Not one response beyond a series of automatic replies. More than 24 hours later, still no response. I contacted my bank and filed a fraud claim. I also asked my bank to reach out to Instacart, since clearly my case wasn't important enough to warrant a simple reply to one of its customers.

Not happy

I used it for the first time. My order came 2 hours late. I was charged for items I did not receive and instacart is not responding to my messages.

Never use

I have tried instacart twice. I notice some small differences on prices from what my package said and what instcart charged me the first time. It was very little that I didn't make a big deal of it. So I tried it a second time last Thursday. My cheese was moldy which they gave me a credit for to use the next time, which I ask for credit on my credit card. Which didn't happen. They charged me for chicken breast, chicken wings and toliet paper but I did not get them. They have not refunded me for it worth $95.11 with Gst. The guy that delivered it was rude. I have tried many time to contact them with no success. I will not be using this service every again they are stealing from people nor will I shop at a store that using this company. I also had to throw my salad mix away it smelled. My rasberries moldy as well so they went in garbage. Do not use this service it you don't want to throw your money away.

Buyer Beware
April 15, 2020

I placed my first order through Costco. I saw the blurb at the top saying prices will be slightly higher so I went to look at their website. The website says they charge 5%. I would have been okay with that. I received my order 5 days later and was charged 20% over the total on the Costco receipt! $305 for $241 worth of groceries, of course you can't contact anyone because their site is experiencing "higher than usual" traffic. Probably a lot of angry, soon to be ex-customers. I will NEVER use this service again. How do they get away with this? Such blatant misrepresentation.

The website is hard to use and the customer service is poor. They can't even keep two different orders straight. Someone with good business skills please start a competitor to this poorly run company.

I never received my order, sent about 10 email I was advise that I would receive a response in 24 hours that was on the 4/10. As of today 4/14 I've received NO RESPONSE. I gave the girl who did not delivery my order a 1 star and advise them once again that I did not receive my order I got back NO CALL, NO EMAIL, I DID GET A BIG FAT NOTHING. But Instacert did charge my CC today and now I have to dispute it with the CC company. I guess their customer service dept does notor know how to read emails.

Horrible customer service. Unfortunately Aldi has selected instacart as their delivery partner. Before COVID-19 I shopped Aldi weekly. I have a compromised immune system and my physician said do not go out to shop. I will never shop Aldi again because of instacart. They delayed the first order a week because of issues they said they had with their app. I missed having some groceries I wanted for Easter. When the order was finally delivered they sent a duplicate order. Today they are trying to send me a triplicate order. The shopper told the instacart rep this. The shopper went out of her way working with instacart to try to cancel. The rep she was working with said he couldn't help. I needed to contact customer service. They no longer answer their customer service phone. They instead have a message instructing you to go online. Online there is no chat. I'd advise customers to find a grocery store that does not use this service.

I placed an on line order, they accepted my order, charged my card, but only delivered half of my order while charging me for all of my items. Have been trying to contact customer service for two weeks, calls get disconnected, emails never answered. They are flat out criminals!

I was overcharged on my initial grocery order and was charged for an item I didn't order. After contacting CS twice I still haven't heard from them. I am now past their 7 day window for refunds. Obvious that this company is overwhelmed with the current situation but if you can't handle the extra business you need to let go of it.

Guy that got assigned to deliver our items from Costco told us that our card is not working and if we try to give another card our current order will get cancelled. He further offered to pay from his side and asked us to give cash when he comes to deliver.We agreed to that and paid him $200 cash when he delivered. Later we were also charged on our card from Costco. It looks like there was never an issue with our card abd rhe guy cheated us.

We ordered groceries from Costco for delivery using InstaCart in Powder Springs GA. The markup on each item was outrageous. The shopper needlessly substituted cheaper/lesser products but the price difference was not reflected in my final bill. Example: We ordered chicken breasts and received chicken thigh meat. The package price was $15.24 but InstaCart price was $37.60, a difference of over $22.00. We notified them through their order/issue option 5 days ago but have not heard anything from them other than an acknowledgement of receipt. We will never use them again and would not recommend them to anyone! As a senior citizen who suffers from chronic asthma, a grocery delivery service at this time seemed to be a godsend, but this experience has proven to be more hellish than necessary. Our Costco groceries totalled $343.10 but our InstaCart Bill was $452.40 for a difference of over $109.00.

I gave one star even though the delivery driver did his job well because I feel robbed by this company!

NEVER, EVER again!

Terrible Policy

I just ordered Instacart for my first time. My total bill for groceries when I placed the order online was $126.77 however due to missing items /substitutions it was actually only $88.92. When I called to see if my credit card would be reimbursed the $37.87 difference I was told by Instacart that it WOULD NOT! I'm disputing the charge and will never use Instacart again!

Missing merchandise

Ive only ordered a few times. They replaced one of my items with a much more expensive item then stole it. The paper towels never came to my house. Ive tried to get ahold of instacart and nothing. Im out 30 dollars. Will never use again

I tried Instacart in the Chicagoland area and their shoppers not only decide on their own to substitute a product that is not available with whatever they want to buy when I clearly defined when placing the order what option I would like as a substitution. Also they never delivered the order to my house even though it shows as delivered. Good luck trying to get through to customer service. Terrible experience and shoppers that either are in-competitive or are thieves. I should have looked up their reviews here before using them. AVOID!

It is unacceptable to me that a company would maintain ridiculous fees during this Coronavirus crisis. People are at the mercy of delivery services and charging outrageous fees seems predatory at best.

Great Service!

Constant contact throughout their shopping progress. Great communication on items not available or substituted for. An absolutely necessary service for us elderly shoppers. Our driver, Boun, was very courteous and helpful. This is our third time using Instacart and the service gets better every time!

We ordered food thru publix upon completion of order they gave us a delivery time between 4-6p. Then moved to 6-9p. 9:30p no show. Also no more correspondence. Upon calling customer service the wait was 190 minute wait. The food came 6 days later no call just showed up. Customer Service no longer takes phone calls directing you to website. Do not use this service if u can even get an order placed. BAB BAD ORGANIZATION PERIOD! Incidentally we tried to cancel order it would not allow u to do so!

Waited three days for delivery and they left the food on the side of my house by garage. It sat out there for an hour and 15 minutes. I tried to call but the hold time is 59 minutes. I had to discard meat and milk items, who does this? I thought they would leave it at my door and ring the door bell or knock and then leave.
