Rip off! My $367 groceries cost $515. No wonder its against their policy to give you the store receipt. If you have extra $$ to throw around it is convenient but for their up charge of $148 Ill do future shopping myself. They also charged tax on non-taxable items.
I purchased something from them long time ago, and all of sudden, $149 was charged today. How the $#*! did they just decide to $#*!ing scam my card and pull out money like this? They really work hard to get sued. I didn't even apply for any plans!
Store groceries $45 total charge $61. $16 x 52 weeks = $832! I'll shop myself thank you! The delivery person was outstanding my wife and I got everything we ordered, but we would have sacrifice over $800 a year on something, Maybe food, maybe heat. We're 73 and 77 my SS $185 a month wife's is $457. We will find a better way!
Instacart is not cheap. They regularly mark-up prices. I have received boars head turkey slices with the store deli label on it for $9 and instacart charged me $13.49. Thinking it was a mistake, their customer service confirmed it was business as usual. Spice mark-ups are often even more.
Wow thought this was a great deal being unable to get around temporarily! Then the receipt showed I payed over 25 dollars with their elaborate prices! Never again! I think they own door dash! Same concept! Plus a delivery charge and tip! Bye bye
They could care less about you or your orders.
My last one was given to a complete stranger. Will never know what happened to my 2 gallons of Alkaline Water and Turmeric. I'm done!
The worst possible service you could ever expect. Don't fall for their BS, if you call on the phone. This company screams, Scam.
Uber Trash.
As an Instacart Shopper of 300 batches, I have more than sufficient experience with their app to say that their mobile app not only is fraught with bugs (Navigation frequently send me to wrong customer and store locations, Care Agents unable to speak English and lacking basic human intelligence, numerous instances of customer fraud, predatory Shopper exploitation etc.) it also enables theft of Shoppers personal data and identity theft. My account was hacked by scammers posing as customers who were able to steal my mobile phone number and email credentials. Do not use this defective, worker exploitative app. You will regret it.It deserves rating of zero.
First time user today. Asked us to substitute items, which we approved. Picked up order, substituted items missing. Store then surcharged for supplying more of another item than we requested, and charged us for a "delivery fee" for our pickup, despite representing pickup was free. Once they have your credit card, apparently this company feels it can do whatever it wants. Cancelled our membership and deleted the app. Be careful. Stay away. If this is how they bring new customers in, imagine what they'll do down the road.
Horrible! Been using since March very good in the beginning. Last few times not so good. Delivery later than time requested without contacting me. Crediting my account for freezer items delivered warm, placed my order they showed they were deducting my credit viewed my receipt credit never went through. Was told by a supervisor I have to wait 3-5 business days. Horrible customer service!
Several weeks ago we were told on web page 'Free delivery until 11-20-2020", but did not try to use until today, but note disappeared. Tried online chat, but they said 'sorry you cannot get it'! So apparently this outfit has Dirty policies, and refuses to fix their mistakes!
Hired instacart to pick up and deliver our grocery's which did arrive! Checked my credit card site the next day and they had stole 100.00 twice from my account, fraud! So there you go again, thieves among us at every turn!
Zero Stars. Said they delivered to us an hour ago, but I guess shopper/thief Jennifer M. Is enjoying our $150 order. Thanks for stealing from my family with three special needs minors, you C#N*! Perhaps you will get sick.
Unbelievable experience with customer service. No help, they have no clue where to check and how to help. After 10 hours wait got information about unlocked account (not clear what originally was locked), but when tried to place my order - the same thing? Shane on you, Instacart! Poor business practices!

Point #2: My (conspiracy) thinking is, ditch the brick and mortar. Use these guys instead. My answer, "Nope!"
Very disorganized
Charged $12 for a pint of cherries
Driver showed up 7 hours early, when
I complained the idiot in customer service blamed me. Had to tip 2 different ppl + they charge extra for "potential" problems w/ orders... never again!
Purchased items valued at $152.07. This amount was taken from my account on May 18th. A day later, Instacart, then place a hold for $225. Now I am told it will take 2 -3 BUSINESS days before I receive the held funds! Never experienced this type of online transaction for retail purchases, perhaps its common in the Hotel industry for reservations. Crazy!
First off, how in this day and age can it be that so many services are short staffed? It's almost like everyone wants to make big bucks but no one wants to work... anyway, I have ordered a few times through instacart and gif the third time now, my order has been pushed back and rescheduled to ridiculously late times, resulting eventually if not being delivered at all. The burden was then on me to reorder. The excuse is understaffing, really? Why do they even offer tine slots? None of my orders were actually adhering yo the desired and chosen times. Mostly they were late but one was even so early that the store has not yet had done items due yo deliveries yo them were not in yet. It's extremely frustrating! So yes, I got a 5 buck credit, but guess what... I have not yet found any instructions as to how to redeem it...
Able to log in on one computer, but not another, saying my account has not been set up.
Contacted their support and got little more than a shrug.
For the record, I work in IT and have tested in several browsers. Cannot continue with this nonsense as there are better services for cheaper.
I've been charged a whopping $78 for tri-tip that was not included in my delivery. I made complaint on 'order problems' 5 days ago without any responses. The website complaints and concerns button circles around, hard to find a clear complaint section, no phone numbers, no chat room. That's a lot of money for no product.
I have been using Instacart in the Dallas area for 2 years and almost all orders, especially from Whole Foods have problems. It's convenient but I'm tired of over charges and problems. It looks like items are not scanned. I was charged for a 42 oz item and received a 16 oz. How is that possible? No common sense at all is packing groceries either. 3 pound bags of apples stacked on soft fruit, etc
Answer: Instacart does not give you the sale prices from the store. So if the peanut butter is 3.50 on sale. Instacart will charge you 4.80 regular price. Their prices are all over the board but on average you are paying 20% more.
Answer: You can't! The only way I got a response from them was when they emailed me to rate my driver and I gave a bad review for her and Instacart. I got an email back. Otherwise, there is no Customer Service! I tried everything under the "Help" section and got nowhere!
Answer: Seriously? They have already scientifically proven that is not spread that way. How many strangers & kids and semi drivers and warehouse people touch your stuff before it even leaves the store.
Answer: No, they don't by policy. But I've found they don't deliver anything else either. Last two orders were cancelled. I dumped my account and told them to keep the gift card balance. Done with InstaCart.
