It took about six weeks for the shipping box to get to me in Hawaii, then you could only digitize two of the ten reels of film I sent in.
I sent a large number. They were returned on hood shape, most of the scans are except reproductions but a few are overexposed.

All the things I ordered were done correctly and some vague areas were interpreted correctly. I sent a VHS with some dubbed movies from 1995, but I really just wanted a high school video project that I did that year. Technicians figured out what I really wanted and only converted that video for me due to copyright issues, likely. Still, I wish they would have asked for clarification.
There was no way for me to explain what part of the footage I wanted to digitize during any part of the process. That part should be included.
Hi Lawrence, Thanks for your review! By law, iMemories is not able to digitize copyrighted media such as Hollywood movies, television shows, and news broadcasts without a copyright release. When we do the digital conversion we will remove any copyrighted material and upload only the home video that was on the tapes. What is online to view is all of the home video that was on the tapes. You can further edit and save just the parts you want!
I had hoped to upload all my pictures to a single location, but instead, I received an estimate of $1,000. It didn't assist in downsizing my pictures into one convenient location; I could only view a few and wasn't able to choose the ones to upload. Now, I have only a handful of pictures, which I refuse to pay a monthly fee to access. It was a waste of time and money.

I have loved viewing all my old videos digitally now. What a blessing. Although, some of my media was not converted and I do not know why? It was just sent back with no explanation. I would still do it all over again to have these beautiful videos to see my children again as babies
I am happy I can access the films online. I'm just not sure how to save them with what type of jump drive?

I understand that 30 year old Super 8 video tapes should be lower resolution than we have today, but the digital version that I have received is unusually grainy and dark. The audio, however is very clear.

As we discussed these are standard definition videos that are being viewed with today's high definition screens, so they will not be a clear and crisp as we have become accustomed to. Our team does review, research and repair (if posible) all issues we see with the tapes, in order to get the best capture possible. Just so amazed we are able to send in so many videos and have them digitized very quickly. Also to receive our old videos back to keep is very comforting. I'm so happy we found iMemories, and will surly be sending more videos in little by little.
Photos that contained a human face were digitized with true color. If there wasn't anybody in the frame, the color was wildly off. All of my outdoor scenes wee an ugly shade of blue.

When we do the digital conversion of slides they are dry cleaned, scanned through dust filters and put through a color correction process to ensure the colors look natural. We do not however do any digital enhancements or restoration services. The images you see online are how the original photos were taken. Made the overwhelming job of digitalizing my parents and grandparents slides, photos and movies so easy. It was so rewarding to view them on my phone through the I memories app! Amazing!

We have been clearing out our parents' home after they have both passed away. I found lots of film footage in a variety of formats around the house. I sent three boxes of film to iMemories and took advantage of the 50% coupon. We are so very happy to have these precious memories preserved in digital format. Many of the videos were completely unknown to us and date back to the 1950s and 1960s.

I sent in multiple vhs tapes to be digitized. Some of these tapes were over 30 years old. I wasn't sure if the staff at iMemories would be able to convert them. I had tried playing them on a few VCRS with no luck. I could hear sound but no video. IMemories came through and did a great job converting them.

Hi George, Thanks for your feedback. The iMemories Safeship kit is an optional shipping box that customers can purchase to send their memories into us. Customers can also ship in their own box and we email out a prepaid FedEx shipping label. That way we are still paying for the shipping to us. We did offer this option to you when you contacted us regarding your order. Once we received your films and started the digital conversion, it became clear that the majority of the film reels were too damaged to process. The film was warped and would not run through the projectors smoothly in order for us to get any quality footage off of it. We want to give our cusomers the best quality capture possible for their memories. Since we were unable to do that, you were refunded for the films.
