The Sound and video quality transferred was very low. Some of the videos even don't have sound.
I received most of the content digitally. But one of them you said had copyrighted material and couldn't digitize. I understand that. What I'm disappointed in is the lack of communication. I never received any communication about that and had to go digging through your website to find anything about why that tape wasn't digitized. I also thought you should have refunded the $30 I paid for that content. I also thought your communication about how long the digital content would be available was poor. I got an email 1 day before the content was expiring. I had to go in and emergency download everything which tied up my computer while I was trying to work. I also tried to contact customer service and your website is impossible. In general you could work on your communication. So I'm disappointed in the experience and wouldn't use your service again and wouldn't recommend it to others.
Hi Heather, Thanks for your feedback. IMemories is in contact throughout the entire digitization process, via your own Order Status page plus regular emails. During your 30 days of free access there are emails sent out every few days, letting you know how many days you have left and the different options you have to save memories. We appreciate our customers and want to make they are informed throughout the process. By law iMemories can not upload any copyrighted material to your account. This is noted on our website as well as in the Starter Guide that is included inside the Safeship kit. The extensive digital conversion work is still completed on these tapes, so we do not automatically refund the charges. As a courtesy, we have issued a refund for you. It was a good experience, feel like the price for short super 8 movies was a little high. Should have different pricing.
Hi Deb, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review! We do charge a flat rate per item for the digital conversion of all videotapes, DVDs and 50' of film. This is because each item is given the same care and attention regardless of the length of the recording!

IMemories provides a user-friendly process to safely ship your items to be formatted digitally. Although I consider myself "technologically challenged", the process was easy from start to finish. It is a joy to share these priceless moments with the family!

Imemories did a great job converting my old vhs tapes to digital. I love being able to access those memories via my phone whenever I feel like it and being easily able to share these memories. Another amazing feature is when I have a question about anything, I can call imemories and speak to a real person! Hallelujah!
My 35mm slides seem to be slightly out of focus. I need to display them on my slide projector once it's fixed as eyeballing them isn't sharp enough.
The iMemories product does what it says it will do; it turns your old tapes into digital files. I wouldn't have chosen this option if I weren't moving to a place where I can't take my tapes, but alas, I didn't want to lose them. The cost is exorbitant, however. If you can find a cheaper alternative that is almost as straightforward, go for it.
Very easy. Good communication during the total process. Great to see all the old videos of our kids growing up.
There was a problem with three of the tapes. One VHS tape had audio from a TV station in the background throughout. They said it was already on the tape, and we taped over it. Not sure who's right.

This is my second time to send memoriabilia to this company and have been so pleased. I have sent articles from the newspaper, sent notices encased in plastic, old pictures, new pictures, dance recital videos, graduation videos, war pictures and anything else I wanted saved for my children and grandchildren. They are careful with everything you send and when they are finished you get everything back. It is so fun to to watch the good ole days of your life with your family on your tv screen.
Quick turn around. Easy to use with ease knowing my videos were safe with tracking numbers. Highly recommend
