I have been told the transfers are only as good as the videos being transferred. The whole purpose is to preserve the memories, but if there is no way to improve the quality of the videos, why do it? If there is anyone out there that has questionable footage, don't expect it to be improved. Just expect to see the same poor quality for $12 per item.

When converting from tapes (analog) to digital, iMemories uses state-of-the-art equipment and techniques to minimize quality loss as much as possible. The quality is still dependent on the original condition of the VHS tape. Use of extended record time, recording over TV and/or re-recording footage can affect the quality of the conversion to digital.
My photos were safely returned and the photos were quickly available on iMemories web site.
The is a very convenient and efficient service.

I now have 6 precious movies containers that were converted to a DVD that allows us to view special movies of our now 37 & 34 year old daughters as little babies. Safe and secure.

I'm really glad I went with iMemories. I like the ease of sending everything in one box (prepaid) and the way they sort the different segments for easy viewing.
Pretty quick and easy. No problems with the process or downloads. With the exception that the Review comment box requires that I expound and further elucidate on my experience which I would have preferred not to be bothered with, however to appease the software that dictates this procedure, I have added this brief epilogue. Again, my thanks for the process of recovering these memories by transferring the data onto a digital platform for my ease of use. I hope this is enough words to satisfy the software. And a quick note on the irony of being required to confirm that I am not a robot after being imposed upon to provide a lengthy diatribe about my current/recent experience. (PS: I can only hope that dual-purpose words separated by a virgule are counted as two words vice one to assist in placating the software gods, and for that matter, parenthetical statements as well.) So, in closing, thank you in spite of this ridiculous protracted summary statement that I am mandated to perform. Thank you!
I picked a format, I mailed the originals, you converted the originals to digital, you told me it was online, it was online, I saw it, you mailed my originals back.

My parents recently passed away, and as I was going through some of their things, I found a box of 8mm tapes. Some of the tapes were over 50 years old, so I didn't hold out much hope that they could be digitized or even recovered at all. IMemories made it happen, and I am so pleased with the results.
