The directions online make it seem like it is a simple process. It is not at all.! I have spoke with customer service 7 times with various issues. Sierra was wonderful & helpful. Too long to type here. Being a retired person I needed more clear direction. How do you move the videos so they are in order on the hard drive when loaded to it. How to rename the videos? No one informed me they were sending my original 37 tapes back. They arrived on a very rainy day when we were out to state vacationing. Fortunately, they were in plastic in the box. Someone could have stolen the package with my videos inside but luckily my neighbor just happened to see the box and go tit. Being retired and on a fixed income, there is not information as to the price. Oh yes it say $14.99 for shipping videos. No where does it say I am billed to ship them back developed. I had 2 damaged tapes totaling 37. I received a bill on line. No where did it say "Oh yes we were able to repair your damaged tapes and we digitalized them". I had to call customer service and ask if they were able to be used. Also in the beginning it talks about digitalizing them. What does digitalized mean? No explanation for us order folks. I wanted my videos on a thumb drive. The price and information emailed to me said your "hard drive" will cost XYZ. I was not informed why I couldn't have a thumb drive? Much easier to carry when using my walker. I had to call customer service to inquire. My tapes were returned to me with a lot of bright green or orange stickers all over them. What id that mean? Were they unable to do what I signed up for? Are they tagged on broken tapes? Unable to be developed tapes? What? I could go on and on with my unhappiness. No one kept me informed about my valuable 37 takes of my family, dead parents, growing children, etc. The ads makes it seem like a great deal and 50% off but it wasn't.
One tape had a spanish speaking family and their children on my loaded videos. I told Sierra and she removed them after I again had to call customer service., I could go on and on. I spent over $700 on this. The hassle was not worth it. No clear at all.
I've used iMemories for several projects over the years. Recently, I had two of my projects completed and as always, they did an excellent job.
I sent 140 slides from 1963 to 1978, along with a few VCR tapes of family adventures to IMemories and am completely satisfied with the results. The pictures and videos are of very high quality. I would recommend this company to everyone. It was worth every penny spent.

They converted my files quickly, but I don't think they did anything to address the tracking on the video tapes. I watched the videos not very long ago and the quality was much better than the converted digital files. Also the audio on many of my mini-disc and mini cassette conversions is really poor and some of it doesn't seem synced with the video. I'm not sure there was any quality control. Just plug it in and convert without actually looking at the product...
Using Imemories was so easy! We are in the middle of moving, and I found our old VHS tapes and some camcorder tapes. I did a quick Google search to find the top rated company to convert to digital and Imemories came up. I followed the instructions on their website, and within a couple of weeks I received my first email with my memories. Some of the videos I had forgotten we had taken and it brought back so many wonderful times in our lives when our children were little. Vacations, birthday's... One video in particular I was anxious to get back was my wedding day. I lost my father over 16 years ago and getting to see him again on video was very emotional. I got to hear his voice and see him alive. I can't describe how grateful I am to Imemories for bringing these wonderful times in our lives back to us. In the midst of our move I have found additional items and will be using this company again and again. The process was extremely easy, they took exceptional care of my items. I made specific notes about where I needed my videos to be returned and they paid attention. Thank you Imemories. This company and what they do is fantastic!

We are sorry to hear about the trouble with some of the online functionality. To move media in the account there is a button that says "Arrange". The titles can be re-titled (like any type of computer file) by clicking on the name of the title. We understand that account functionality will not be obvious to every customer. This is the reason why we strive to offer detailed and thoughtful customer service. Our team is here to act as a guide and fill in any gaps, especially when a customer is confused. While many of our customers are familiar with the term "digital", there are some that reach out for clarification and to discuss how it applies to their particular needs.
When iMemories returns or ships anything to a customer, an email is generated from both iMemories and FedEx. We do not hold onto original media once an order is complete. We do take several steps to ensure that original media arrives safely, such as water-proof plastic bags (as you mentioned), packing material, and sturdy boxes.
IMemories does include pricing information on our websites and ads. We also include a detailed booklet in the iMemories SafeShip Kit. This booklet breaks down pricing, how it works, and includes FAQ's as well as our customer service contact information for questions.
As an order is processed, iMemories sends regular updates via email. These emails direct customers to their order status page. This page has details about specific items that may be having issues. The information on the order status page updates as a customer's media goes through the process. With these updates, we highlight when the first tape is online to view and when processing on all items are complete.
IMemories does use stickers for internal processing purposes. Similar to the barcodes, these stickers help us quickly indicate actions that are needed in order to move items through our process efficiently.
We would love to call every customer at the different stages of their order, but as it turns out we do have to rely on email and system notifications. Please know our customer service team offers top tier, prompt, customer service to assist with all facets of our process, website functionality, or status updates.
