My experience was great! I had studied multiple companies and saw that iMemories' track record and information were the best. I called several times before ordering and ALWAYS received helpful information. Shipping, tracking, and the process to digitize were all kept to the expected schedule. I am very pleased and currently am enjoying seeing family movies not seen for 50 years! Edit options are clear online and I expect to be able to combine sections eventually on a flash drive. Lorraine was the person I always spoke with. She's awesome! Highly recommend!

I hadn't seen these videos in twenty-five years. When camcorders came out, I chose the Hi-8 formula. That did not become the standard. And when my camcorder died, I could no longer watch them. IMemories converted them easily. I liked the box I night from them to mail the tapes (with prepaid label). I liked how the videos appeared via a link in email as they were ready. And they are so easy to share with people.
I had small VHS tapes I could not view. As it turns out, the quality of our tapes was not very good, so of course the digital transfer is not as good as we had hoped. I don't think IMemories is responsible for this, but it makes the result somewhat disappointing. Know the quality of your tapes, etc. before you send then in.
Everything is done in a timely manner. I'm always satisfied with the service.
The mailing process was easier than I'd imagined. I have also received the original items back.
I paid over $400 and the upload quality was not great. Beginning of each video had a short snippet of another video I have seen this in a few of my videos. I have to send an email to get these fixed. The cost is high but I needed it done. Also, having to pay for keeping them in a site is also a bummer.
Everything went as explained. Memories have been shared with family members near and far! We will be converting more media soon!
I sent ( and paid for) two tapes for digitizing. One couldn't be done because it was copyrighted (it was a tape of my son's first college basketball game that was televized). So, they returned the tape, but I was not given a refund for that one, because of what they "had to do"... I didn't see anything on their website to indicate that tape would not be able to be done, either. I will not recommend this

The digital conversion work is done on the tapes, so we do not automatically refund. You were given a refund in August for that tape. I am excited to finish reviewing and seeing the memories that were digitized for us. The video quality is more than I expected. I wasn't sure how the video tape would hold up over the years, but the results were amazing. The audio quality was equally sharp and clear. I'm very pleased and grateful for the results, Thank you, iMemories!
The only issue I had was that the negatives weren't adequately clean of dirt, hairs & dust prior to digitization. I had to do a bit of editing to delete unwanted marks from the digital photo to make them acceptable. Please spend more time to make the negative particle free before digitizing.
This is the 2nd time I've used your services and both times my films came back wonderfully. I do wish you had a decent hosting service, but you do allow to download our films and/or pictures. Just loaded them all into Plex and watched them on my 55 inch TV. Thank you!

I had 4 VHS tapes from 1993-1996 from my old high school marching band years, and from my All State concert my senior year that I needed to convert to digital media before the VHS tapes physically deteriorated, and I also don't have a VCR to watch the tapes. The online order process was easy, and the prices were more than fair because of a sale that was happening. They sent a very sturdy and scure shipping box where I could securely send in my tapes. It took a few weeks to process the order, but that is ok because they actually have quality controls to make sure you get the best available product. Their website also allows you to check on the status so you know what's going on the entire time. Watching the tapes was amazingly nostalgic and reminded me of how old I really am.
Only 3 out of the 4 tapes were converted because I guess the 4th tape has some sort of copyright on it. They make you pay for the tapes as soon as you ship the order which is also fair. The only negative ding that I give them is that even though I paid for 4 tapes to be converted, I only had 3 tapes actually processed. I had to actually message their customer service to inquire and ask if I was going to get a refund for the 4th tape because it was not converted. The customer service person made it sound like it was an inconvenience, and that they do not normally process refunds because of the work they put in. Um...what work...you didn't covert my 4th tape, and that's what I paid for. "We normally don't do this, but I'll refund it this time." That slighly irked me, but the rest of the experience and having the other 3 videos converted made up for that minor hiccup.
I had three videos that weren't digitized supposedly due to copyright…. But the copyright had long expired and I had a release anyway. So I am very disappointed
Hi Janet, Thanks for your feedback. By law, iMemories is not able to digitize copyrighted media such as Hollywood movies, television shows, and news broadcasts without a copyright release. Copyright laws are in effect for 70 years. The tapes we received were all copyrighted recorded TV shows. If there was something that you are able to get a signed release form for we could certainly process the video and upload it to your account. I was very worried about sending in the videotapes that I had been keeping for over 20 years. But the iMemories process was easy and they did the conversion and sent back my films in a very timely manner. I would highly recommend their service.

Hi Sheila, Thanks for your feedback. The issue you are seeing with the video clips is a glitch in the website. That short clip you see at the beginning is not on the actual video. If you download it or save it on DVDs/USB drive you would not see that issue. This does only happens occasionally and is something our team is looking in to. The iMemories cloud storage subscription is optional. It is one of the four ways all customers have save their memories.
