I have used this makeup line for several years. Decided to try other products in the line as well. I have used the Power Recharge Cream and the night serum as well. I have absolutely no complaints about anything. I have very sensitive skin and have had no issues with anything. Plus they give you the option of trying it and returning it if it's just not for you. Great products backed by a great company.

While browsing the website for a new blush color, I came across your "Real Life" photos of colors on real people and different skin tones. I thought that was fantastic! I continued browsing for lip color and was very interested in the sheer colors. There were reviews by verified buyers showing the product on plus they were holding it up in photo. Their reviews were just singing their praises about "loving the color I got" but no mention of actual color. The "pink" category looks so similar. I was hoping for names with buyer's photo, instead of scrolling back and forth wondering, "Is it this one?" I ordered it anyways. Fingers crossed.

My second order was sent without an email informing me and giving me the opportunity to change the shipment. I rarely use make-up and won't need another for quite some time so I immediately tried reaching customer service. The emails didn't not go through and the phone number I found was no longer in service. Really makes you question the reliability of the company. I did go to their website and was immediately given a log in where I changed my next shipment and was given the choice to cancel so I am hoping they honor the change and don't ship me more in a month. I was also able to leave them a message that is supposed to be answered within 24 hours, so time will tell if that worked.
The makeup itself is the absolute best I have tried so I did not want to completely give up on the company. It gives a natural even tone and the brush is excellent. Great product, lacking on the customer service.

As a lady of a certain age I often feel disposable or ignored- or simply commodified. This may sound hyperbolic but my experience with Il Makiage is the complete opposite. I've been treated with care, all my questions answered. They even ASKED ME how things were and when I explained that there was a minor defect in a product I was using (in the packaging) they replaced it. I love the products, I am grateful for the care. I never write reviews- I'm slightly embarrassed with how grateful I am— but I really feel like this company does things differently and that's worth sharing.
PS I proudly make my own skin care products but they don't compare to the stuff I use here. Big ups!

Answer: Yes! I believe they are anyway…but the problem with asking different peoples opinions and that is you will get MANY different opinions! The reason I say go for it and try them out is because regardless of if the products suit YOUR skin and style their customer service is amazing so you aren't really taking a risk as if for whatever reason you don't like what you buy they will fully refund or exchange with no problem at all. They are really quick with responding to enquiries too so if there's anything you want to ask them before buying I suggest sending them an email and you will soon see what I mean…they really go beyond to try and make their customers happy!
