The company enjoys a generally positive reputation, with many customers praising the quality and effectiveness of its products, particularly in terms of skin care and makeup performance. Quick delivery and effective customer service interactions were frequently highlighted as strengths. However, concerns emerged regarding the ordering process, particularly issues with auto-renewals and unclear promotional offers that led to unintended charges. Additionally, some customers expressed frustration over the difficulty in managing subscriptions and the perceived lack of transparency in the purchasing process. Overall, while product satisfaction is high, improvements in customer communication and order management could enhance the overall experience.

I recently tried Il Makiage, when I saw the ads popping up on facebook. I wear sunless tanner, and picked out a foundation shade based on that. When I got the foundation it wasn't quite the right shade, and the company was really helpful, at first. They did exchange and help me get the shade I needed, like they advertise.
However, when I was low, I went ahead and reordered. I forgot that the shade I originally ordered wasn't quite right and asked if I could do an exchange. They told me no, since I had an e-code and got like $10-12 off. I would be willing to exchange the makeup and pay for a return, but the company seems adamant that I can't get the color fixed.
I will not be continuing to shop with Il Makiage. Sadly, not all of their customer service is helpful.
Always charges your credit card extra. Bought 50$ and i was charged 2 transactions afterwards for 68$. Had to change my credit cards.
Hi Bre! We never intentionally charge extra. Please reach out to customerservice@ilmakiage.com and our team will be happy to look into this for you!
I have used their products in the past and truly liked them. This time when I placed my order it was supposed to be sent out on July 2, it is now July 24th and I still have not received it. I have reached out numerous times only to get the run around with no definite answer. The last one was it was still in transit where it has been sitting for a couple weeks. The gentleman Jordan has been very short and unprofessional regarding this matter. They don't want to be accountable for their mistakes. This was my second order and my last.
Hi Renee! We assure you customer satisfaction is our number one priority and gutted to hear you did not have a positive experience. Happy to turn that around and help you.

Returned this mess and have still been charged. Having to turn this over to my bank to try to straighten out the young lady Jordan keeps trying to put me off about my refund
Hi Fonda! No scam here! I'm sorry about that. We assure you customer satisfaction is our number one priority and gutted to hear you did not have a positive experience. Please send us a message at customerservice@ilmakiage.com and reference ‘Sitejabber.’ We would love to make it right!
I just ordered this and I'm so pissed I should've come here and read everyone's reviews such a rip off! I'm goñna fight for my money back! They say "free trial" my $#*!! Got charged $86 dollars
Hi Nesey! Let me explain what happened -- a pre-authorization was placed on your card (as stated at check-out). Not to worry, this isn't a charge! Pre-authorization is a fraud prevention method used by financial institutions to guarantee the safety of certain transactions. A pre-authorization, or a temporary hold, simply authorizes the card, the funds are still in your account and will not be transferred to us unless you choose to keep the product. We can't refund the preauthorization as the funds were never actually withdrawn from your account, but I can tell you that preauthorization will fall off / disappear (this normally happens within 4 days from the order). You will not be charged for the full price unless you keep the product(s).
IL Makiage advertises a trial of their product for $5.00 but will charge your credit card nearly 18x that amount ($86.00) AFTER your order is placed. I contacted customer service within minutes of this charge in order to cancel but was informed that it was too late and the order had already been shipped. All this happened on Saturday, July 2,2022.
Very deceptive business practices!

They continue to take $80 + out of my account for 3 months now. WITHOUT MY CONSENT. This is bs. Even after i emailed them about it. I even removed my cared from the site. So now i have a new card coming. This website is bs.

I have been wanting to try the foundation and finally ordered it and the concealer, paid the price and then... waited, and waited for shipping information. Finally I contacted them and received an apology and promises that they would send me the shipping information and a discount to order something else. The next day I received an email to rate the service, satified or dissatisfied, I clicked on dissatisfied and received another email saying how sorry they were and asking me if I wanted to cancel my order, I wanted to see how the foundation worked and replied to please send me my order with the shipping information. Today I received email stating they were cancelling my order. Do they even understand the written language?
Hi Kathleen! We assure you customer satisfaction is our number one priority and gutted to hear you did not have a positive experience. Please send us a DM on Facebook or Instagram so we can learn more about your experience -- and hopefully stop it from happening again! ♥️
Buyer beware, they will charge you the full price of their "try it before you buy it" offer. Then you have to fight to get their full charge off the account it is charged to. The 4 day drop off is a lie. And they don't have a phone number- all online.

It's not a free trial I try to send mine back they said they would not charge my card and they still charge my card $86 that's been 3 months ago and I'm still trying to get it back now they don't even answer my messages so beware.
I bought it. Was supposed to be a "free" trail. Had to deny 3 time subscription service… got charged full price before delivery. Took a long time to come in… sent a letter to CS and BBB it came in 2 days later. Was water thin… didn't cover a thing… my 5.00 dollar store foundation is way better… want my money back have started a return. Doubt I'll see it…
Watch out for their auto renew program, which they "auto check" for you on your very first trial order! SCAMMY! 2 months later they pulled money from my bank account without any warning. When asked, they claim in their copy/pasted email that I chose the auto renew option when I ordered my first sample. Why on earth would someone willingly sign up for auto renew for a product they haven't even tried yet!?!? The coverup was cakey and not at all worth the money. This company is just a hassle which should be avoided with a 10 foot pole! Sketchy!
Ordered once, product nice but I did not want to 'autoreplenish' as they call it. However when I tried to remove my bank card from the 'saved payments' section I found I could not do so even though there was a 'remove' button. It only allows you to remove if you add another card! Completely unacceptable and now trying to cancel my account with Il Makiage but even that is proving difficult.
Can only contact by email so at their mercy to respond or not.
Never again just not worth the hassle!
Most horrible match ever! Not worth 2 cents! Feels horrid on skin. Biggest ripoff around. Never again!
I'm giving a poor rating for customer service. After buying several different products, I received my last foundation and had problems with the enough foundation coming out of the pump. I thought maybe shaking it a bit more would help but realized that my bottle was not full. I contacted customer service and was told I missed the 14 day return policy. My concern is about all the bottles that are returned may be repackaged. Customer service did nothing you save a customer relationship and said they were sure I'd be back. With that attitude, there is no way I will ever spend another penny on their products. After this experience, it made me think of all those bottles of foundation that are returned. Are they repackaging and reselling used foundation? Makes you wonder.
They went into my account twice! How? They are a rip off! Do not set yourself up! Will post on my FB and Instagram and let everyone one know!
I am ordering for a second time. I am beyond happy and I don't how answering a few questions came up with the perfect color match. I mean perfect! Whether I am pale or tan, it always makes me look natural yet finished! I'm happy beyond happy!
They claim they are giving you a free offer, TO TRY BEFORE YOU BUY... Well for starters. They take your shipping charges and place the hold for the "amount" on your card and they fail to deliver the product to you. VIA FEDED mind you. This company is a scam and a joke. It was in my hometown for 2 days before it shipped out to California and back to Arizona 20 days later from the day I ordered it. Save yourself the time and money and buy local.
I ordered the concealer where you pay the shipping charge up front which equates to $5.30 - then you pay the remaining balance IF you decide to keep the product. I placed the order and received 2 separate charges on my card - one for the shipping and another charge for the remaining amount. Then I receive an email stating that this "additional hold" was placed on my account but will be removed in 1-4 days. Here we are on the 4th and the additional charge is still on my account. I also received a tracking number for my package 2 days ago and the package STILL has not been shipped- company only created a usps shipping label. This experience alone makes me not even want the concealer no matter how good it is. You don't have to trick people into buying your products.
I purchased their foundation and eyeliner, both were amazing and true to their word. My only problem was when I ordered the second bottle and pore reducer my card was charged 158.00 dollars and was told it will fall off which it did. But in all honesty, the makeup and the brush are wonderful and I cannot live without it now.
Answer: Yes! I believe they are anyway…but the problem with asking different peoples opinions and that is you will get MANY different opinions! The reason I say go for it and try them out is because regardless of if the products suit YOUR skin and style their customer service is amazing so you aren't really taking a risk as if for whatever reason you don't like what you buy they will fully refund or exchange with no problem at all. They are really quick with responding to enquiries too so if there's anything you want to ask them before buying I suggest sending them an email and you will soon see what I mean…they really go beyond to try and make their customers happy!
Answer: This website is scam. They don't cancle order. Reday to scam once you order. BEware
Answer: Yes They are Scammers. Good luck getting your money back! 1
Answer: The company is a scammer. How would you trust their product is animal tested! Even you can't trust the product, as you don't know what's in it...
Answer: I wasn't successful. I sent them pics of the reaction I am having in the exact areas I am using the product and all they had to say was,"your 30 day return period has expired". For a company that charges $45 for 1.7 oz of cream, that is very poor customer service.
