I bought the NOW Foods brand of Organic Pumpkin Protein Powder on iHerb and found that it has a whopping 7% sodium even though salt is not listed in the ingredients. In fact the label claims it has only one ingredient. My regular brand, which was out of stock, contains only pumpkin seed as well and has less than 1% sodium.
I wrote a negative review to say that the product has 7% sodium and yet salt is not listed in the ingredients. IHerb, refused to publish my review and asked me to edit the review. I did, they rejected it again, I revised and they rejected it a third time saying it was a customer service issue.
False labeling is a PRODUCT issue not a customer service issue. The company is blocking negative reviews intentionally and protecting brands that are mislabeling their products. Other brands of pumpkin protein has less than 1% sodium how can iHerb protect a brand with that has 7% sodium in a product that claims to have only pumpkin seed? Even salted roasted pumpkin seed has only 4% sodium.
Very disappointing. What is worse, many customers will continue to buy trusting that the reviews on iHerb are the only reviews submitted when in fact the company is simply refusing to publish negative reviews, no matter how truthful. I mean they can see the comparison of the sodium content in the two protein powders from the picture I submitted and yet the still refused to accept my review.
I have been a loyal customer of iherbs for several years purchasing several hundred dollars of product each year.
Until now! I recently purchased a bottle of Opti-men multi-vitamins. When it arrived, the bottle was fine but the tablets were severely damaged.
I immediately contacted iherb customer support. I supplied all the pictures and information they required. About a day later, they said they would give me an instore credit. I wrote back and asked what good that was going to do me. They basically told me "Too bad, so sad". This is our offer.
I continued arguing trying to escalate to a manager but instead, the emails started to arrive written in RUSSIAN instead of English.
I asked them why they were speaking to me in Russian when I speak English. No reply.
I then contacted the manufacturer of Opti-Men and provided them with the same information.
The next day I received an email that iherbs was refunding the money onto my credit card.
I feel like they just did not care about my concern and only resolved it when the manufacturer stepped in.

I am absolutely mind boggled by the whole "returning process" for iHerb. First they have you submit a request to return and then THEY decide whether to decline or allow you to return the product for a refund. I ordered 2 DGL Licorice capsule bottles, one which I had a few capsules from and one that is completely unopened and has the packaging on it and it STILL got denied the refund. Wasn't happy with the product and now I'm extremely unhappy with the fact that I won't even get a refund for the product itself during times like these. Definitely would not recommend this site to anyone & never buying anything from this site ever again.

My problem is both with iHerb and with DHL. I ordered a package which was purportedly delivered by DHL but no slips were ever left on the door and the 3rd delivery date/time I was definitely home. A week after my first contact with DHL they still can't find my package but keep asking if I want to pay the fees on line. IHerb was absolutely no help. They were rude and implied that the lost package was my fault somehow. I won't order from them again and if I don't get my package, I will ask my credit card company to reverse the charges for non-delivery. Too bad because until now I've always had positive experiences with iHerb.
Update: turns out the problem was really Loomis who didn't actually deliver the order. Once it was confirmed by DHL to be lost (took about a week) iHerb shipped my order the same day and I received it two days later. From the US to Ontario countryside. Pretty good really. Although there was a charge, I herb's lower prices and volume discount more than made up for the fees. So, I'm back to being a customer. Hope is is useful.
The worst customer service experience I have ever had EVER! I ordered 6 items from iHerb.com and only 3 of them arrived. When I asked about it (thinking maybe the package had been separated into two) they claimed "We do not re-ship orders internationally" (I am in Australia)
1) No where on there website does it state this as a policy for international orders
2) Technically it's not re-shipping if the item has been forgotten in the first place.
They then stated that they would be refunding me in 'store credits'. I advised that this was ABSOLUTELY not okay and could they please either send me my items or refund my credit card.
They then sent me a confirmation email for the amount i was owed advising it would be refunded. Was that the end!?! OF COURSE NOT! A few hours later they sent ANOTHER confirmation email advising that a different (lesser) amount would be refunded.
This amount WAS actually refunded (to my surprise) but they still owe me the remainder which I have now enquired about FIVE times, the first being almost two weeks ago now. So far they have been ignoring me. Really immature and pathetic. Strongly recommend staying away!
Ordered cell tech creatine from them never received it never even got an email about it f*** Iherb!'$#*!ing scammers... but it's going to come back cuz you're going to get sued trust me

Ordered twin lab two cap vitamins and received one cap instead
I have using two cap once a day for years to me this could be a critical mistake to use these.
I placed an order and they processed payment, but i never received the product. They claim to not have a record of the order. Thank goodness PayPal doesn't hesitate to process refunds!

After 15th Aug, no delivery received by my parents so contacted customer support via email. After follow-up finally received a reply saying order has been canceled by verification team. No one contacted me from verification team, neither any email though i have shared my cell phone number as well. Funny part, i am not able to login to website to check my order. I asked customer support to deliver my order, as it was not canceled by me and full amount has been paid via credit card. No response received. Iherb saying that money will be return by deducting bank transaction charges. IHerb not able to show any proof that any one contacted me to confirm order cancellation. Otherside order is not canceled by me so why i should pay bank transaction charges? Most wonderful part, iHerb not in situation to confirm, when money will be transfer back to my bank? Wrote email to CEO as well through linkedin, but no response received. So for me look like a fraud company and doing some scam. I found several feedback posted around internet social media. Please take strict action about such fraud companies based in USA doing online business.
They do not want to give me a refund even though I never received my item. Not trustworthy! They do not take responsibility once they ship it out, which is very risky!
Placed an order at 828a.m. Within 2 minutes, I realized this was NOT the product I wanted/needed. I attempted to cancel the order on the website, by CALLING their contact phone # & replying to the order confirmation email. NOTHING worked. Ordered once through my friend who herself have ordered it occasionally from time to time. Then I ordered once for myself and it arrives pretty fast without delay. I'm generally quite satisfied with my products as I know not all health products might fit my body condition.
I bought Jason Natural Aloe Vera Shampoo & Hair Conditioner, Alba Botanica Body Scrub, full set of Avalon Organics facial products. I loved the facial products especially cos it fitted to my facial condition.
Cept the only issue on delivery, which the website have highlighted earlier before they send out their products that:
"The UPS driver may choose not to leave a package if you aren't present to sign for it. To avoid such a situation and ensure receiving your package, you may use a business address." http://www.iherb.com/info/Domestic
Which means I have to be at home to receive the product or contact the deliveryman to come at specific timing when I am at home (If I am unable to send it to my office).
Other than that, the site is pretty much reliable. They will also send you an email few weeks later to request for your good/bad reviews of the products which you have purchased so that other buyers can decide fi they want to buy the product or not.
IHerb ordered DHL to destroy my order: value $189cda & then has the audacity to tell me i get no refund
I did ultimately get a refund for this order because i had chain of custody - i could prove through emails that one of their reps told DHL to destroy the order So in this case that rep was at fault not DHL who gave me a hell of a hard time to establish an identity account proof that i was/am what i say i am as the order was shipped out of country. I just placed another order with swanson's who uses DHL also, so hope i have better luck this time
It's my first time ordering something online abroad and i am satisfied to have had it with IHerb. I live in Iceland and I got my order after 3 days. I foresee regular transactions with Iherb. :)
I use to be a dye hard IHerb fan until I had a problem and needed the customer service. OH my God it is just horrid. They use to be so good they have gone down hill fast. I will not use them again after my dealing. It still is not fully sorted out. Granted it was a courier issue and the couriers fault but their attitude about the whole thing. It; s like once you order you are $#*! out of luck. Now I have to send the package back because of a month delay in recieving it. I had to order from another company. Then they send it to after I requested a refund. Now I have to pay to send it back. They still have not responded so I can get the proper return address and that was last week. If you send them an email it goes into siber space somewhere out in the great beyond because you never hear back from them. Just a generic email that says they are looking into it. Then nothing, nothing at all. Live chat is useless as well. I was hung up on I don't know how many times. Rude as hell. Wont' use them again after 12 plus years

Absolutely the worst company I've ever dealt with. They respond to emails every 3 days, horrible customer service. They shipped me an item and charged me double for duties and extra taxes and shipping charges which is absurd. This is their response: Please Note: If your order is returned to us due to a banned/restricted products policy, a wrong address, refusal to pay customs fees, refusal to accept the order or because no one was there to accept delivery of your order, we will refund your credit card as follows: You will be refunded the total amount of the order, minus the shipping charge, and 20% of the value of the order, (as a re-stocking fee). We will also subtract any other outside charges i Herb has incurred during shipping, such as warehousing fees, return postage fees, etc.
If the cost to return the product to us is larger than the cost of the refund due, we will instruct the carrier to abandon the order and there will be no credit for the order. If the product(s) is seized by customs, there will be no credit processed for the product(s).
What a fkn joke these losers are
I am still waiting on a refund for a cancelled order (on their part) it has been a month and no correspondence with useful information. Only bots and no resolution. Not in align with their 'policy'.
