Trying to file my tax for 2021 idme would not verify my id and pic so I was told they were going to do a video call, I never got a call to verify and could not log onto the IRS web site thus causing me to lose the $1400 stimulus check. I wonder if I can hold them accountable and have them send me $1400 they made me lose out on?

Ultimately was able to get verified through their verification with the help of a live person, only to be blocked by Social Security saying their info did not match. Seems I wasted a lot of time to get me nowhere and no help from their help center so far, and no phone number to get a live person to help straighten everything out. Not the best way to try and get into a government agency.
