ID.me simplifies how individuals prove and share their identity online. The ID.me secure digital identity network has over 98 million members, as well as partnerships with 30 states, 10 federal agencies, and over 500 name-brand retailers.
The company provides identity proofing, authentication and community verification for organizations across sectors. The company's technology meets the federal standards for consumer authentication and is approved as a NIST 800-63-3 IAL2 / AAL2 conformant credential service provider by the Kantara Initiative. ID.me's Identity Gateway also has a Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) Moderate Authority to Operate (ATO). ID.me is the only provider with video chat and is committed to "No Identity Left Behind" to enable all people to have a secure digital identity.
The company has garnered a mixed reputation, with notable strengths in its identity verification service, which many users found secure and efficient, particularly praising the helpfulness of customer service during video calls. However, significant concerns were raised regarding the complexity of the verification process, which some customers found frustrating and time-consuming, particularly older users or those with unique identification issues. Additionally, delays and technical difficulties, including issues with document acceptance and login credentials, have led to dissatisfaction among several users. Overall, while the service is valued for its security, improvements in user experience and support are essential.

Please call me I'm not sure what else to say I'm always able to access my account just fine and the only thing is would like to change is your quality of your camera it was hard for me to have your agent see my id she was able to verydy me so n ok complain ls
Give virtual nightmare to get anything or anything or anything for any reason that is positive for me it's a big piece of $#*! thanks for nothing
It's either an ai chatbot or submit a ticket and all you are met with is general emails and statements of where to reference, no real help
I didn't realize that ID. Me could verify that I attended and graduated from The Ohio State University. Pretty cool.
I used ID.me to log in to my SS account and I was very pleased at the convenience and ease of use. I would highly recommend using ID.me.
I had a little difficulty in the beginning setting up my account but I was able to use the video option to complete the sign-up. It was great.
Offered to alternatives at some point in the new account process. One to upload docs and 2 to do a video call. Opted for uploaded docs. Did so, then it asked for id code, entered it, then it failed and locked. So, back to video call. Desktop could see agent and had audio but no video. Had to stop and download zoom to phone and start all over again via phone. The process is very thorough but has some issues that one must be ready to spend 30+ minutes to get through
Not wonderful... on Lowes part. The manager and associates had no clue as to this program and customer benefits
Easy. Another reason to be thankful, & at ease. Hopefully, changing phones, & numbers, will be an easier process, too.
Felt cheated that I gave away pertinent information and I didn't get a discount. There was no option to fix the issue. After signing up for it, I got phishing/scam emails
Never experience anything like this before. The way it asks you to navigate and add in your information.
Maybe that's why a check was going out to somebody that was 150 years old and if nocitizens have benefited before American citizens.-" people "and this company are the weeds that need to be pulled out of the American dream. Any company that makes me talk to AI before talking to a live representative should be reevaluated for conducting business in the United states that's why you guys need federal oversight.
From the first moment, the instructions are concise and clear. The process proceeds efficiently with ease, providing it's user with the peace of mind knowing their identity is easily secured. Especially considering the tumultuous times we all live in, with the constant letter in the mail that crucial personal data was comprised on one or more of your children. ID.me should be the new modern standard for identity safety.
This was a horrible experience. I was unable to enter the codes provided on 3 or 4 attempts. Once I finally got signed up, I could not access the website.
Had to use Id me today and it seemed like a new and much improved company simple and to the point. As Americans it shouldn't need to feel like we're being treated as if we're attempting to steal someone's identity every time we need to tend to our own affairs. Of course security and identity are extremely important however it's reached the point in recent years of being a full time job..

Not that hard. Most anyone can do it. You are the best and you should be the President so apply for that job. Is this 50 characters yet? I don't know soooooo here some more. Thanks
As a Blind Veteran it's hard to navigate all the steps and not lose you place or patience/program did not rush you in the steps but it's still a challenge. Would be nice if it could be done verbally
Smart phone not compatible but only alerted to this fact 3/4 of the way thru the process and not given a reason why or told what is compatible so no way to resolve easily. Tried another person's phone which was compatible but still had trouble with no option to load media already stored in the phone. Then had an issue with information they prefilled being wrong but no option to change it so the system made me start over. Basically a 5 minute sign in (which is already long) took over an hour because of multiple issues.
Long, confusing, cumbersome and at one point just not worth it. I just continued on, not because of the discount but it became a personal thing. My wife had already said to forget about the discount, aggravation was not worth it.
